I was surprised when I opened the bag to see the size of the biscuits. However my Kelpie cross Rex who I would class as medium size dog managed them well. Judging by the crunchy sound I would think they would also be good for his teeth. He ate it well and had no side effects. However he is a young healthy dog with full dental. My small Schitzu who has had a few teeth removed was unable to chew them. Funnily enough my Cat stole some out of the dogs bowl and loved them lol.

We have 2 adult dogs, a Husky and a Bull Terrier. To start off with, both dogs seemed a little unimpressed with the hardness of the biscuits.Over a couple of days they grew to like the biscuits but seem to prefer them as small treats. After eating only a small amount of these biscuits, noticed that both dogs went straight to the water bowl. Believed either too dry or perhaps too salty compared to their regular diet. Upon looking at the packet, there is no measurable amount of salt listed in the Typical Composition Table, and only a single word of "salt" placed within the list of ingredients. This factor is a very important point, particularly for those of us that live in the hotter, drier parts of the country. I love the idea of this product. Whilst my dog is not overweight, he could go in that direction as he ages so it is a good idea to get him used to such a product now. He is a lover of fresh meat, so eats his chicken wings first every evening. He will sometimes move on to his beef soup bone, but often prefers to leave this until the following morning when it has ‘matured’.The morning is when he is also more likely to chomp into his dry food, after he has had his corner of toast and butter he waits for my husband to give him! This whets his appetite and he moves onto the dry food. He rarely eats a full bowl, but may return to it later in the day. I have fed my overweight dog (He put on weight after being de-sexed last year) ADVANCE Healthy Weight Medium Adult Dry Dog Food Chicken with Rice for 2 weeks now. He enjoys the taste of it. Gizmo has also lost weight over the last 2 weeks for which I am very grateful. In addition to my border collie x Kelpie (12) there is a 14 year old Shit Zu in our household. He is a very picky eater so I started off by giving him some nuggets as a treat. He really liked them and now eats his bowl empty every time. I am being very tempted to change my normal cheap dogfood to ADVANCE Healthy Weight Medium Adult Dry Dog Food Chicken with Rice depending on the price. Both dogs love it both as food and as a treat. This is a high quality and healthy dog food which my pet loved. It is aimed at providing good nutrition whilst helping to keep weight within a healthy range. My dog is such a glutton and has put on weight in the last 12 months, so this Advance Healthy Weight range is perfect for our needs. My dog has always had really bad breath too which nothing seems to have been able to fix, up until now. This seems to have cured the problem so I will definitely be switching to Advanced Healthy Weight. Thank you very much Home Tester Club for the opportunity to sample this great product! Very happy.
Firstly the packaging stands out with the bold blue colour, the details are easy to read and understand, it gives you all the details of the amount to provide each meal to your pups. I followed the recommendations to gradually swap over foods. My dogs absolutely loved them, they had no trouble eating these and seemed to loon forward to their next meal. I also noticed in my medium dog in particular that over a period of a week she has become more leaner and even has more energy. If your dog is a garbage guts like mine, I definitely recommend giving these a try! These have now become our regular biscuits.
My dogs love Advance and this is their favourite food. The only issue is, the price of the bag, it used to be $114 now it it $136 for members, this is so expensive especially when you have 2 dogs to feeds and with the cost of living rising up, making it difficult to buy dog food. Soon I will need to see other alteration if the price keep rising.
I was super impressed when I received the sample that came to my house via courier. I was amazed at how large the packages were. My dog (Miss Tara) was unfortunately less than impressed. She sniffed it but then literally turned up her nose at it. I was so disappointed. I did give the leftover packet to my neighbour who has a larger dog than me and I am happy to report that her dog loved the product. It seems what's good for the goose isn't always good for the gander.
We were very interested to trial this food for our Labrador. She is small for a Lab but the vet tells us she is 3 - 5kg overweight. Over the course of the last few weeks we have noticed a bit of a waistline appear on her, and we did try to weigh her which was a bit difficult but best estimate is she has lost around a kilo. With regards to the dry dog food, I really liked the larger size of the biscuits compared to other brands, and found it easy to give the correct amount of food according to the directions. No point in spending time wondering if she enjoyed the flavour as she would eat anything given to her. Another positive outcome we noticed was her stools were firmer and better formed, so easier to clean up. She also seemed to scratch less (she has some skin ... MoreWe were very interested to trial this food for our Labrador. She is small for a Lab but the vet tells us she is 3 - 5kg overweight. My dog has always been given dry biscuits along side her meat. She has never really cared for the dry food that much. But the minute I opened ADVANCED dry food, I couldn't get her nose away. She absolutely loves these biscuits and dear I say, maybe as much as her meat! She won't stay away from the cupboard where we store the food. 10/10 recommend. There are also so many benefits for dogs and better yet, the profits go to Guide Dog Australia!
