Can’t complain for the money. Although it doesn’t come with fuses. Never install this kind of thing without a fuse at both batteries, unless you like fires 👍

Our experience:So far, it works really well in my partners Jeep Wrangler JK. We tested our starter battery with a multimeter and the isolator cut in as soon as it reached 13.3V and charges our auxiliary battery. The instructions were fairly easy to follow but I would not attempt this unless you know a bit about 12V systems.Couple of things to note:I did have to go to Jay Car to buy a longer negative cable (as well as eye terminals and heat shrink) for my auxiliary battery to mount to a factory earthing point but that was because we didn't want to install a new earthing point. It would be good if there was more information on amperage ratings for the cables. I had to get some help from the people at springers in Lawnton for choosing the right circuit breaker.

Thank you to the customer service team,Very easy to install, but the first isolator didn’t work keep clicking on and off, checked my wiring all was good , rang customer service and sent them a video,This was at 10am, by 12 o’clock my claim had been approved and a whole DIY kit had been sent and I received it the next day.Installed new isolator on same wiring and works great.Thanks 4wd supacentre for the excellent service, will be a return customer

I installed this isolator in a trailer to assist charging and to isolate its house battery and break away battery from being used by the Anderson plug. Also installed a 120 watt solar blanket and mppt controller. The Isolator connects and disconnects exactly at the voltages stated and is a less expensive solution than a dc-dc charger. Very happy with both purchases.

Studs spun in regulator housing causing resin to split/crack.Unit still works but expect it will fail as it’s now not water tight.

This product has not worked since the moment it was installed. I have had an auto electrician fault find the whole installation and found the fault to be with the VSR. Also it is not a full DIY kit as advertised as you need 2 fuses to complete the installation, which do not come with the kit. Seems a little crazy they do not to add the fuses to make it a Full DIY Kit.

It says its a full kit but not really. It was easy to install but I needed to get another fuse like the installation diagram advised. The fuse should be sold with the kit. Otherwise it works fine and was actually quite cheap for what it is.

Fast super service and delivery. I would have liked an extra metre length on the cables though as really this is for an under bonnet dual set up. Not really suitable for modern day utes who need to install a second battery either in the cab behind the back seat or in the tray.

As long as it maintains reliability. Why buy anything else. Incredible value and a breeze to install. First impressions great. One gripe.... the unit should screw to the base and not have through screws. Limits how it can be mounted. Easy over come. And happy with end result.

I installed this unit 2 days ago. It's not the 1st dual battery system I've installed however it's the 1st one that came with everything I needed to do the job, (except for tools 😉). I didn't bother opening the box when I bought it so was pleasantly impressed by the contents. What really impressed me was the length of +'ve (red) cable. I was able to feed it from my battery on the passenger side to the opposite side of the engine bay where I wanted to installed the controller, and then use the remaining cable to run from the controller to the back of my Range Rover Sport. Connected it all up and it charges my Deep Cycle battery. Very happy.
