Very happy with this excellent product. The depth guide made the project so much easier than would otherwise have been the case. The saw was easy to handle, provided accurate cuts and was simply a joy to use.

Overall a good circular saw, the only problems are the guide is a little sloppy, and the fastener for the angle adjustment can vibrate loose while cutting. (ruined a good piece of ply)

I needed a circular saw to replace a very old Ryobi that was permanently installed in my Triton Work Centre, which essentially means that it operates as the equivalent of a table saw and fixed in place permanently. I imagined that the modern equivalent of something to replace the ancient Ryobi would be of the order of $250. So imagine my delight when I looked at the Bunnings' website and found the AEG and one or two other brands of saws under $100. After reading user reviews, I decided to have a hands on look at the AEG. The critical factor that I wanted to check was whether there was any lateral play in the saw axle because that would be a big no-no in the application to which I would be deploying the saw. The display model seemed fine in this regard so I bought ... MoreI needed a circular saw to replace a very old Ryobi that was permanently installed in my Triton Work Centre, which essentially means that it operates as the equivalent of a table saw and fixed in place permanently. So for less than $100, the saw has represented excellent value to me. I don't know much about the AEG brand but am thinking kindly towards it after this very first purchase of an AEG product.

I've had circular saws in the past and done a lot of home diy with them over the years, renovate old house etc. Thought I was done with home diy now retired, but decided to build a frame & raised veg garden out the back during covid lockdown. Got this AEG saw online Bunnings as it seemed good quality for a fair price.I was very impressed with the quality, like the way it feels, safety switch features easy to use, adjustment depth easy and secure. It handles well and feels secure in the hand.In fact there is nothing I don't like about this circumstance saw. Its the ideal size, lots of blade choices in that size.I think its a quality saw and ideal for home diy, it also seems solid enough to consider for someone who uses a circular saw a lot, however I don't have ... MoreI've had circular saws in the past and done a lot of home diy with them over the years, renovate old house etc. Thought I was done with home diy now retired, but decided to build a frame & raised veg garden out the back during covid lockdown. Great little saw for smaller jobs which is what I do most. Only had it for a month but is being used regularly and performing well. Tried it on a piece of 300 X 75 oregon using a 4 Ah battery but it jammed and cut off. Will switch to 9Ah battery and take shallower cuts which I hope will solve the problem. Other that that, greatly impressed.
I recently updated my old skill saw for this AEG 1200w saw. This new one is much lighter and easier to use which makes it feel safer for me and cuts without overloading. I should have upgraded a long time ago.
This saw is not very powerful, it struggles to cross cut 50mm treated pine sleeper which my older Makita battery saw did with ease. Constant cut outs and a build quality which makes me think it won't last. AEG aint what it used to be
Fantastic tool. Very powerful. Great value for money. Out-cuts other saws. Has no trouble ripping down super hard timber. Very happy.
Excellent value for money, plenty of power, good ergonomic design, put it to immediate use connected with dust chute connected to extractor cutting 19mm CFC with a poly-diamond blade and it powered through the work.
Purchased this saw around 6 months ago.to replace my old Ryobi. My old saw served me well for many years, but I wasn't expecting this new AEG to have a really quiet motor. It's lightweight as others mention with plenty of power. In the time I've had it - it has worked well, enables easy and accuare cuttting, and has a sturdy base plate.
