Nah, Not great.Pros: Yes, you might once in a blue moon need to use this in a tight area when, for some reason, a multitool won't do the job, and a D shape jigsaw is too bulky. Also takes up sliiightly less space in your kit.Cons: Switch isn't progressive. It's either ON or OFF at the preset speed. No starting cuts slow, no slowing down as you reach the end of your line so you stop exactly at the right spot, and, most importantly, if something goes wrong eg, nick your finger, grabs and viabrates the workpiece, drop the tool down amongst your powerleads, it's still going to keep chomping away. Also, the switch is not in an ergonomic spot, so it's arkward and distracting from the cut you're trying to focus on. The diameter of the grip (because it has to be big ... The diameter of the grip (because it has to be big enough to house the motor) is absolutely huge, and I take XL safety gloves - I have big hands. Uncomfortable and doesn't allow for as secure of a grip as a conventional jigsaw. For those who like to (please be careful!) plunge cut their jigsaws to avoid massive spade bit holes, the battery gets in the way of your forearm, so that's fustrating and uncomfortable. Final negative is the price, given it's a worse design than their conventional D jigsaw, but more expensive.
I’m an electrician by trade & this sub-compact jigsaw is easily my new favourite tool in my van. Purchased recently to make a cut-out in kitchen cabinetry for a range hood. Precise, smooth, lightweight, powerful (for its size!). Fits on to tight areas where my previous brand power tool struggled. Five stars 🌟
