This balm smells divine; a wonderful mix of citrus and rosemary leaf. It leaves my hands soft and smelling wonderful without any greasy residue. It sinks in quickly and really softens the hard skin that sometimes develops around the edges of my nails. I love saturating my hands, nails and cuticles in this balm before bed and I wake up with soft and supply hands! Also, as with all Aesop products, the packaging is so aesthetically pleasing!

It’s a great hand cream ! It smells woodsy and citrusy. These types of aromatic ingredients just soothes me and moisturizes wonderfully! The cream is perfect it sinks in and lasts on your skin. I carry it in my bag at all times. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars and not 5 stars it’s because it’s price point for the quantity is too high in my opinion. But it’s a great one to have once in awhile if your on a budget.

After seeing it on my social media, I wanted to try out this hand cream. There may be cheaper creams out there, however, this is one of the only moisturising, yet non-greasy hand creams that I have tried. Upon application, it's not the thickest cream but has a fantastic scent. After a short while, the cream quickly sinks in and I feel comfortable touching objects unlike with other hand creams. The scent becomes more subtle and doesn't last too long, which I appreciate. I think I'll repurchase the pump bottle.

I have been using this balm for around 5 weeks. And I like how it soaks very easily into my skin. It moistures my skin, makes it soft and hydrated. This effect lasts for quite a long time. And even after washing my hands the skin looks and feels nice. So I believe the balm has some cumulative effects on my skin. That is very good. But I prefer not using it before going to sleep. Besides rather strong citrus fragrance it has the sent that feels like damp cedar wood that I particularly don’t really like. This scent just lingers to my skin, it is ok for a day time, but can be a cause of a sleepless night. I found that the aluminum tube packaging isn’t really convenient, but it is good for protecting the product and it is recyclable. I doubt that I will repurchase ... This hand cream feels absolutely amazing. It is super-moisturising, leaves my hands baby soft and it smells divine. The texture is quite rich, but absorbs quickly, and a little goes a very long way. I am a big fan of Aesop products, and this one has to be one of the favourites! I also love the smaller / travel size which is really useful when travelling or putting it in my work bag. Highly recommended.
I love this hand cream. The scent is lovely and feels luxurious to use. I am an upholsterer so work with my hands and they can become dry and sore. This cream has really helped with the overall condition of my hands. They feel well moisturised and keep my hands in good condition. The cream melts beautifully in to the skin without being too greasy. Have bought many times. Love the packaging in the tube as it’s easy to pop in your bag and use.
A lovely herbal/citrus scented hand cream that appears quite thick but yet sinks in pretty much instantly, although not sure why it's been named as a 'balm' when the texture isn't anything like a balm. I love the Resurrection hand wash and was hoping the scent of the hand balm would be the same, and it is. Using the hand wash first and then layering on the balm makes the fragrance last so much longer than when I was just using the hand wash on its own. When I first picked this up in store the ingredients list jumped out at me straight away, as it's very similar to the 'Amande' hand cream (and to an extent the Shea butter one) by L'Occitane, if you compare them without the essential oils that are in Aesop's. Functionality wise though I prefer this over L'Occitane, even though it contains much less Shea butter - making it less richer, it compensates with other carrier oils that seem to do the trick and keep my hands nourished and soft. My only dislike is the metal tube, which like L'Occitane's can be a pain once you near the end of it and try to push out any remaining cream, creating tears in the sides of the tube, out of which some of the product leaks. At this price I definitely don't want any of this product to be wasted! Next time I might just invest in the larger half-litre size that comes in a plastic pump dispenser like the hand wash. Well I best start saving up in that case... ~ My Space NK Top 7 must-have list ~ (thought it might be useful to share my top 7 must-have beauty products of all time, focusing mainly on my purchases at Space NK) 1. This is the best handcream I've ever used. It's not as glycerin(y) as some other top brands which I like as it feels like its soaking in rather than sitting on top of the skin. Doesn't leave any residue and a little goes a long way. Cheaper handcreams are a false economy and I'd absolutely recommend investing in this one. I've just bought the blue one as well to have at work! The smell is divine, woody and rich and slightly medicinal from the rosemary. Worth every penny.
I got this as an add-on since it was suggested to me during checkout, and I figured why not. I don't normally use products with such a high amount of fragrances due to fear of irritation, but I also figured that surely my hands wouldn't be too affected by it. Turns out I was wrong: I used this product for a few weeks and formed rashes, dry spots, and flakiness all around my hands. It hurt to put warm/hot water on it, which made hand-washing and showering quite irritating. Putting on more of the balm didn't help, but my hands insantly got better and the rashes went away once I swapped it for a regular and fragrance-free drugstore handcream. It is at least kinda moisturising, but absolutely not worth the irritant risk and how it ruined my hands. Taking a look at the ... Taking a look at the ingredient list now, it makes sense, since they have quite a few fragrant ingredients like citrus, lavender, and alcohol. Smelled good though, if rashes are worth it.
Ah, Aesop. The brand loved by interior design fans around the world! And who can blame them? The distinctive, clean packaging is immediately recognisable as belonging to Aesop. I'd wanted to switch up my handcream for a new fragrance and chose this one. I really like it. It's herbal and so clean and fresh smelling. It sits by my bedside and is luxurious in feeling and sinks in well.
