I’m not sure exactly what the hype is around this brand, but after trying this particular soap with the granulations, I will say it’s not worth it in my opinion. The reason being that it does dry out your hands first and foremost especially if you’re washing your hands constantly which to me is not a good sign of quality. The small particles are nice but they ended up clogging the pump and causing the product to have issues coming out. It’s very frustrating to have to deal with this especially considering the price of the product. As far as the scent goes, I’d say it’s all right but again the hype is really not worth it because you can get similar smelling products for half the price. Aesop DID change the formula

I've been using this hand wash for years and I am always amazed by how little it takes to lather. This is my first time purchasing from Space NK and it doesn't lather anymore and the ingredient list looks different from all the previous bottles. So I was immediately suspecting like "is this a faulty one?". Then I purchased one from Aesop official website and it has the same new ingredient list and doesn't lather much. I contacted Aesop and they said they did change to a new environmentally friendly formula and it supposedly "has denser foam with smaller bubbles but in the meantime cleanse just as well and is gentler to the skin". To be honest I like the old formula a lot more and need to give the new formula more tries to see how it actually performs.

As good as you imagine!

I have wanted to buy this handwash for years but could never justify the price tag for a boring household essential. I finally caved and it is everything I hoped it would be. Luxurious, gorgeous scent, looks super cute in my downstairs toilet! People always complement me on it when they use it. I feel like it is lasting me ages, which given my 5 year old has taken a shine to using this over his ducky soap is a miracle. Now shall I buy a second bottle for the kitchen!!?...

too good to be true. I got sucked in to the below normal retail price. Pretty certain I got a counterfeit. The bottle and label were different. The soap quality is decent but just a bit "off". Maybe it was 2nd quality from Aesop? Who knows. I have so many extra Aesop bottles that I just took the soap and emptied it into an Aesop bottle. Makes me feel better but I guess I'll go back to paying full price.

Luxury in a bottle

I used to think why on EARTH do some people spend so much money on a handwash?!?That was before I was introduced to this beautiful handwash which is quite simply luxury in a bottle.Pros: the pump design means you only are able to dispense one pump and that's all you need.Due to this functionality, it means the bottle lasts absolutely ages.The compliments I receive whenever my guests use this makes me feel really happy.It can also double-up as a wonderful exfoliant.I can't think of a reason not to buy this!

My absolute favourite

You know those products you'd wish you had never tried because they are just incredibly good but far too expensive- well this gorgeous handwash is just that.I am a slight handwash-snob and really do appreciate a decent cleanser when I'm washing my hands. Before, I used to think how could people spend over £30 on soap, but my oh my, I am hooked!!Everything from being aestheticlu pleasing to the eye, the pump, and of course the feel and lather of this handwash is every bit worth it's weight in gold (quite literally).

Perfect staple

Just lovely. This is such a classic scent and lovely formula that you really can’t go wrong. Just one pump and the whole bathroom is filled with the scent - although it’s not overwhelming. It lingers just the right amount in my opinion. The formula is lovely too, it’s a gel with the perfect amount of slip, and it’s not drying, although it’s also very effective at getting off any grime.

Time old favourite

One I go back to again and again, this hand soap never gets boring and is a signature in my home. I think people like going to the toilet at my house just so they can wash their hands afterwards! I always get comments and the scent is just amazing, both me and my husband love the citrus notes. You never need a full pump so it definitely can last you a good long while. Thoroughly recommend particularly if you're keen to try an aesop product but don't know where to start. This is the one.

not worth the hype

Smells nice but very subtle, you can’t really smell it after washing hand unless you bring your hands really close to your face. And It doesn’t last for more than 5-10 mins after. It’s just like any other hand soap. I didn’t notice any difference on my hands/skin after using it. I also tried their body wash, body lotion and facial exfoliator. Nothing too special. I would expect more at this price for a luxury brand of hand soap.
