I wear a size 9 normally and purchased these in that size. The sizing seems accurate. I have an average width and depth foot with a normal arch. My toes are normally spaced and have wiggle room, which I like. I ordered a size 10 which is what I wear in other woman's boots. They fit well.I enjoy the wider toe box. Other boots cramped my toes even when sized correctly. The outer two toes of each foot would always rub on the toe of the boots going downhill, not with the Altras! These stood up well to very rainy weather on the trail. After being out an entire day in rain my feet got slightly damp by evening, but otherwise they held up well. I used these to hike the Juan de Fuca a couple of weeks ago.Having worn Altra trail runners for years, I know and love the wide toe box and zero-drop style.The sizing is way off on this style - I had to size up a full size from my Lone Peak 5 trail runners, so even if you know this brand, I recommend trying the shoes on and not purchasing online.They are not fully waterproof; I hiked in them for 3 sunny, but muddy days, and by day 3, I could feel that the inside of my shoes was slightly damp just from occasional submersion in deep mud. I do love these shoes, my podiatrist recommended them for the wide toebox and ankle stability, but three times the lace from one shoe has gotten caught in a hook from the other shoe and twice caused me to fall. I wasn't even on a trail, just walking on flat even surface. Glad I wasn't on the stairs! When it happened last week, I came home and squashed all four down with the pliers so they won't catch anymore, but so the laces can still be threaded through. Definitely a design flaw. They should come with a warning before someone gets seriously hurt. It happens so fast! I see someone else also posted this issue. One other thing, I love the blue laces, but they're way too long. I've been triple tying them.

Ugh. So sad to say it but Iām fed up w Lone Peak and most of the Altra lineup. The toe box is roomy and great. But why does the mid and heel cup have to be almost just as wide? Who honestly has feet like this? I need a true waterproof lightweight mid w a large toe box for snow hiking in Appalachia and canāt find anything else. But I remember now why I hated these things. My foot just slides around on the inside now matter how itās laced and throws my entire biomechanics off. Hiked abt 13 miles to Mount Cammerer in them the other day. Half the trail was only abt .5 in. of snow so nothing worth needing the waterproof yet. no matter what the trail conditions were, I just felt a substantial injury was right around the corner. The Maxtrac claws outsoles are super grippy (although less so than on my shoes from 2 years ago, which performed better on wet surfaces so I guess something changed in Altra's manufacturing). For some reason the all-weather version of the Lone Peak shoes fit larger than the regular version of Lone Peak, so I suggest you go down a size (e.g. euro 40 to euro 39, or a half size if using US sizing). Note that the 39 in this all-weather Lone Peak fits like a 40 in Outroad and Rivera. I work outdoors and due to high humidity the morning dew on the grass causes dampness and this literally seeps in the shoe causing wetness all day and STINK. The interior of the shoe and my socks are literally wet all day long. I'm not walking through puddles. It's literally from the dew on the grass. Not a win. Trying out the timp to see how it does but liked the roominess and lack of stiffness of the shoe. Pretty comfortable as well but I cannot wear them.
