A very good product that was very easy to set up and so impressive with the great poof channels that could be added. Originally this was recommended by a friend but I didnt look into it but just went by the little I knew about this product causing me to bypass it. But because I wanted some of the freeview channels as well as the options for films and such ( some are free) this proved to be a very good product. A think what made this a killer was the great price I found on eBay and the quick delivery service. Highly recommended.

My friend had bought one and raved about it. I then got my mum one for Christmas and saw it in action and was instantly sold.I went and got my own as a birthday treat and do not regret it at all.Amazing bit of kit.So quick and easy to use. It offers so much.Would definitely recommend.

I have a good samsung tv that's not smart and doesn't need to visit a skip so adding the fire stick provided all the upgrade I needed.So simple to install and ready to use in a matter of minutes, it does the job really well. Excellent device.

Our kitchen TV with external aerial wasn't getting much use because we hardly watch live TV now and the smart apps on our main TV were getting all the action. I saw these on display in JL and suddenly twigged that we could watch Netflix, iPlayer, Disney+, Now etc in the kitchen and the penny dropped. The price is great for the content that this tool opens up to you (obviously you need to be subscribing to the paid services anyway...) and it has led to the kitchen now having a truly useful TV. Very easy to set up and start.
I would have given this 5 stars but I ordered a fire stick and we couldn't get subtitles working on it. Anyway I got in touch with John Lewis and they replaced the original stick and our replacement is working as expected. We are very happy now.I found setting up the firestick very easy on our 11 year old smart TV giving it a new lease of life - it's enabled us to get BBC iplayer, ITVX, Netflix, Prime video
A good bit of kit:Pros. Easy to install, good number of platforms, crisp picture quality, simple to useCons. Full installation takes patience and time, Fire tv stick is chunky and I needed to use the HDMI extender so it sticks out at the side of the TV (a bit unsightly)Overall a worthwhile purchase recommended by a really helpful JL salesperson when I explained that the ITV hub app on my TV wouldn't work any more. It does now!!
I have a Samsung Smart HD LED tv. Unfortunately it's a few years old, so gradually apps such as All4, My5 and ITV hub became obsolete. We persevered without as nothing wrong with tv display or sound. Eventually, we decided to investigate a replacement and visited a store and talking to a partner explained the problem. He suggested the fire stick. For the small price, there was little to lose.It certainly does the job. The only reason that I haven't given 5 stars is that recently we've noticed some limited pixelation which seems to occur a specific times of day. There's no reported interference on the transmitter and another to seems unaffected. Removing seemed to resolve. Not a great lover of Sky, so I have been using Freeview for the past ten years. I have become so bored with what's on their now and chatting to someone who recently bought a fire stick. OMG! I have been missing out on so many freebies, amazing films, dramas and not to mention replays. Excellent little piece of equipment. Just wish I had known what this little stick actually did ages ago. It's a must if like me and you do not have a smart TV.
I bought this for a friend - have seen only some of what this amazing piece of kit does. A couple of weeks later, he's still finding new things to play with!Small and compact, just plug in and it gives you a whole world of extra free programmes, including NHK Japan - excellent documentaries.Netflix and Amazon are there, if you want to pay.Highly recommend.
Didn't believe the hype about this stick until we bought one our ageing to doesn't support ITVX or My5 so we thought we would try this instead of buying a new setOnce we had sought end the Wi-Fi in the sitting room we found the fire stick easy to navigate and useVery impressed with Alexa too no more flicking through channels just issue a command for Alexa to find the programme and hey presto!
