I bought 2 of these firesticks on recommendation from a friend, and it has not disappointed me. It's a fantastic way to stream your media on a non smart TV on a convenient platform linked with an easy to use remote control. It now replaces my now defunct Telstra Roku media players. I highly recommend this device

Am internet search before purchase implied I would be able to use this with AirPlay. While there are third party apps to download that allow some compatibility, it is clunky and frustrating. And it does not, under any set up, allow for airplay of Apple fitness workouts. If all you want is to stream Amazon content or other streaming content, it is fine. But for airplay, get the roku. I’m taking the time to write this review because it was surprisingly difficult to find this information before I wasted my time and money.

This is a good addition to most televisions. However, with most smart TVs already having the capabilty to have it all, parts do breakdown and the Fire TV Stick is an awesome item to have. I recommend this item and others like it for all consumers. It is a great value.

Really enjoying it! I bought it mainly for live sports and the streaming is great, it came with 2 live tv apps and ive found that one has better video quality than the other, and the video quality is GREAT! Between the 2 live streaming apps they have every single channel you could ever want. The movies are also great, the quality is a bit hit or miss with each film/tv show some may be a bit blurry, there are some tv shows and movies that are not on there but most regular films/shows are.
I bought in early October 2023 and now 5 months later it’s March 2024 and the remote randomly stopped working. Ive never dropped it or anything, it just stopped. I noticed the past few weeks it slowly started lagging when I would click around between shows or anything but I assumed it was low internet connection. Clearly it was the remote giving out.
This older generation Amazon Fire stick is great. It does pretty much everything the newer models do, with some exceptions that are unnecessary for my needs. And at a much lower cost. It was simple and straightforward to set up once I plugged it in. And best of all, it has a well thought out user interface that is pretty simple to figure out, unlike some of the more complicated streaming devices I've tried. This is the main reason that I purchased it, as my wife is not technical and easily frustrated by an interface that is not straightforward. All in all, a satisfying purchase.
So easy to use and fast. I have an older tv but still works well, so I replaced my older firestick and all I had to do was sign in to my Amazon account and everything was there from my older version Firestick. The apps I use just had to be re-downloaded. So easy! I was impressed and very happy about that. So, if you have an older smart tv that still works well an updated streaming device is a cheaper route instead of a new tv. ;)
I love my Amazon Fire TV stick! It is so easy to use and has a fantastic interface. It has all the channels I could ever want or need so it easily replaces any other streaming device you might have. The remote is simple to use and responds right away when pressing a button. The picture is amazing even on TVs that are not 4K. Alexa works with some of the channels and is a great feature. Customizing the interface is easy but I wish the home screen looked more general- it looks very much like the prime video home screen. The physical stick is pretty long so I am worried about it putting too much weight on the HDMI port and it does not automatically switch to proper HDMI port when you turn it on.
