This is an ISO 800 speed 35mm colour negative film which is tungsten balanced. This is prepared from the same motion picture film stock used by top cinematographers around the world. Designed for difficult low light tungsten situations and may be used in many different lighting situations to achieve a variety of looks. ISO 800 though great rated 200-2000 and can even be pushed to 3000. 36 exposures. When shot in daylight an 85 filter is recommended and shooting the film at ISO 500. Remjet layer removed. DX code sticker included. Standard C-41 processing. Price does not include processing.

I tried Amber for gig photography in a very low light venue and was pleased with the results. Pretty indistinguishable from Cinestill in this sort of environment and the same characteristics - wide latitude, halation effects and a good mellow feel. With the variable and changing spotlights it is difficult to say whether there is a distinctive amber tone as compared to Cinestill. Portra is probably the safest bet if you want true colours in low light but for gig photography Amber is perfect. No mechanical issues with the film and I squeezed 38 exposures so no complaints.

As anyone who has used Cinestill 800T (the exact same film as Amber T800) could tell you, this film is very versatile. It's got a very wide exposure latitude, meaning you should get more keepers - the colours, grain and definition are lovely, and the film scans really well. If you need a higher speed film and want something a bit different to the usual Portra 800, definitely give T800 a go.

Just got the scans back from a night-time stroll around Cambridge with a roll of Amber T800 in my Minolta Dynax 800si. After a bit of tweaking in Lightroom, I was extremely pleased with the results. Like CineStill, it behaves really nicely with lights, especially reds. Will definitely get some more if it becomes available :-)

It's one more great film option for those who like shooting during the night. Lots of red hues and if you shoot during the day, it will be rather blue-ish. Definitely recommend.
I decided to challenge this film, using it handheld in low-light conditions. I definitely pushed the film's limits, but it coped with shooting street photography after sunset well.The shots ended up slightly underexposed to allow me to remain handheld, but the colour and tone turned out great. Unfortunately, I suffered from a bit of light leak for the first few shots of the film, but I was happy with how the rest of the roll turned out.
I got this as part of the WonderBox and as a lover of CineStill 800T I was hoping for something similar. Unfortunately, I had really disappointing results and wasn't even able to shoot it. First the film had trouble loading in my point and shoot Nikon. When I rewound it I wasn't able to retrieve it from the canister despite multiple techniques... seems the first few sprocket holes were damaged and perhaps there was some interference in the spool as it didn't wind smoothly. Perhaps there's some user error but in the hundred or so rolls I've shot and developed, this is the first time I've had this issue.
Amber T800 is my new favourite, considering nighttime or just daylight photography. During the day, it produces such nice photos, as your other typical Portra or Kodak with slight leaks, while during the night, it has this nice mellow, amber colour vibe.
I shot my first roll of this at a friend's going away party in the evening. The film did really well with the overcast in the afternoon and produced some pretty cool toned, high contrast photos. As the evening went on, I wasn't working with a light meter and would occasionally forget to adjust my shutter speed to account for the loss of light, but the Amber T800 did a good job in low light and I still managed to have images to save and edit during scanning. Definitely recommend this film for people who want something different and versatile for low light shooting!
...in low-light world. It's equally excellent for both during the night and day time shoot. During night, it displays more yellowish, orange colours, while in day - more blue and green halo.
And very cool. Perfect for some neon parties and bright places. Pretty good alternative to good old CineStill 800T.
