MONSTER CPU. Got this for 88euros from Mindstar,it was an upgrade to a ryzen 7 2700. The difference is around 45% in all fields,gaming and production some video edit. The cpu sits on an MSI B450 A Pro,it is working at its maximum performance. I went for this to give a couple of years of life to the b450 since its the best it can make use of since b450 does not support pcix Gen4 like the 5600x does, so this was best priceperformance possible for said motherboard. The packaging was very proffesionaly made and the package arrived within 48 Hours.Thanks MF People.

Super efficient and cold, compatible with many older AM4 motherboards (think, B450). It is the latest Zen3 chip that works well yet sipping power from the outlet. Performance is great in my workloads, realistically, most people will not pair this chip with 3090 Ti to play 1080p games lol. With a decent low- to mid-range graphics card, it works just fine :) Recommended!

It isn't the shiniest or newest processor but to fit with a budget AM4 board into a Small Form Factor case where it won't pull too much power was the goal. Overall it gives great performance at a great price. Really pleased with it. Included cooler is good enough and pretty quiet.

This CPU is a perfect choice for the average user who wants something that wont bottleneck their PC and be ready for future upgrades with power efficiency in mind. Gaming performance is great which means most games will be bottlenecked by the GPU (Tested with a GTX 1070) on High/Max settings. The 16 Megabytes of L3 Cache are also nice to have as some games get a minor/mild performance boost from it. The bundled stealth cooler does a flawless job at keeping the CPU cool, where for me the maximum temperature it reached during synthetic benchmarks was 80°, most of the airflow in my case goes through the GPU first, which is also suprisingly at the same temperature, the cooler is pretty quiet for what it is. Again, I would highly recommend this CPU if you're on a budget.
Bought this almost a month ago. It’s got a decent amount of cores and virtual threads to run games. I paired it with a wifi b450 motherboard and a gtx 1660 with an rgb case with tons of airflow it lets me play any game I throw at it on high settings it’s an amazing experience. Couldn’t be happier.
Youtube has a video by Tech Yes City about Undervolting this cpu. The Asus motherboard firmware made it easier, and although I had different number than the video I did get better performance with lower power. Good for everyday and gaming, a 5-5600 has slightly more performance but if the 5-5500 is not enough then look at the vermeer 8 core or better. This 5-5500 has been more than enough for my needs and completely stable (as opposed to my Intel 10400 that crashed and my mildest attempts to undervolt). AM4 is still a viable socket in my opinion (not humble).
Excellent processor, I have always used AMD processor, mostly due to the coast comparability with Intel processors. I haven't been disappointed with processor. Once installed, which was very easy to do, it is very fast and works like a dream. It does exactly what I need it to.
With this cpu being available for less than cpus of a lower caliber, it was an excellent candidate for building my friend her first computer. Box cooler is more than adequate, POSTed first try, no complaints. Paired with my old 5700XT and the cpu didn’t bottleneck the handful of games we tried before she took it home.
Purchased this specifically for a budget VR gaming system, paired with an Nvidia 3060 Ti and 16GB system RAM. Have no issues playing Half Life: Alyx on Ultra settings with an HP Reverb G2, haven't tried much else yet, but I'm sure it will handle it fine. The lack of PCIe 4 support makes no difference to me in this use case, as PCIe 3 is plenty fast enough for gaming, and I have this running in a cheap A520 board which doesn't support PCIe 4 anyways. Considering I bought this for less than $85, and it was close to $50 less than a Ryzen 5 5600 at the time, this CPU was well worth the purchase!
Bought it as an upgrade to my Ryzen 3 1200. Clear difference in performance. In NFS Heat my 1200 running at 100% was bottlenecking my RX570. The 5500 runs at ~20% and now my gpu is my bottleneck. I deliberated getting the R5 5600, but decided that I wouldn't notice much difference for the extra $.
