I was tasked with live streaming a protest rally & march yesterday. I had live streamed one on the weekend, but only got the rally because my phone's battery died by the time the march came around. I picked this power bank up in the morning, plugged it in to charge for about 4 hours. (BTW - I originally had it plugged into a Belkin adapter, and didn't see much progress. Then switched to an Apple adapter and it charged right up.) When I left for the rally, the power bank showed all four lights (fully charged). After an hour of the rally, my phone gave me the "low power - 20% warning." I plugged it in to the phone bank, while still streaming. Soon after, I got the "10% battery warning." I worried that the power bank wouldn't be able to charge while I was still using ... MoreI was tasked with live streaming a protest rally & march yesterday. I continued streaming...for another hour and a half...with the phone kept plugged in to the power bank. Not only did I not get any more "low battery" notifications, but when I stopped the stream and unplugged my phone...it had been recharged up to 86%! So, on almost no battery remaining, this power bank kept my phone going AND recharged it almost completely. I was SO happy with this purchase! When I got back home, the power bank still had 3 of 4 lights lit, so plenty more charge to go.

Ive been trying some battery banks over the years, and they are developing. This one works well with iPhones, the included pouch is nice as a removable bumper and for carrying extra cables, it has the all-important overcharge protection, and lasts a day of more of heavy use while still fitting in your pocket. And as long as you have a good wall plug available it works very well. Inserting the plug into an iPhone doesnt wake the battery, you have to press a button, but thats the worst. But Ive tried to charge it with a solar panel, and not only does it need direct sunlight to charge anything at all, if a shadow comes in the way itll stop changing and not charge again until its restarted with a button press. And thats not workable. So for the solar charger I use other ... MoreIve been trying some battery banks over the years, and they are developing. It also has no through charging, Anker says it would wear out the battery, and that could be true if it really did so through the battery. But what is really asked for is a more advanced controller that could mix power sources and charge external batteries before it charges its own. Which is less maintenance for the user. So with certain minor caveats, this is a good product.

It does what is says. It’s a power bank. And a good one at that. It is a matte black plastic, and I was hoping for a bit of metal, but it is all plastic. There are indeed 2 USB ports, both of which are capable of pushing out 3 amps, just not both at once. There is a button on the side which illuminates the 4 corresponding LEDs to the battery level of the pack. It has a good weight to it. Lighter than most. To charge the pack, there is a included micro USB cord, not USB-C which is a bit of a groan, but it works. The included cord is about 1 1/2 feet long. It takes about 4-6 hours to charge. Great all around for the price, and it comes with a neat little mesh pouch, as well as a quick start guide, and other documentation. Before buying, I would check the battery ... MoreIt does what is says. It’s a power bank. And a good one at that. Great all around for the price, and it comes with a neat little mesh pouch, as well as a quick start guide, and other documentation. Before buying, I would check the battery capacity of the device(s) that you may be using, to see how many charges you could get out of it. If it is one or less, I would get a bigger one. Other than that, I would definitely recommend it!
I purchased my first one almost 2 years ago and used it weekly. I ended up buying a second charging bank (same one) a few months ago after I gave my original to my husband for his travels. I can get a full charge on 2 devices using the quick charge port before having to recharge the bank. If you are aware of Mophie, this Anker brand is absolutely comparable to it and at the fraction of the price, also lighter in weight.
I was disappointed by the design of this battery. It is fatter and therefore much harder to keep comfortably in my pocket. I have another battery that is much much flatter and I prefer to use that battery. I still find this battery useful since it does have decent power but it does take a very long time to charge. In spite of some of it's shortcomings I do find that this battery can be purchased for a low price making it a good value.
Bought unit as an emergency / occasional pack. Used it probably 5 - 10 times. Was charging it up in preparation for recent hurricane warning and discovered unit was defective. Lights would come on when plugged into the wall but completely dead once disconnected from wall. Tried multiple cords / adapters, etc. Emailed Anker. They said the symptoms sound like it is defective but since it is 3 months past warranty, there is nothing they can do. Will be going back to RavPower as I have had great experience with their products.
So I’ve had this about a week now. I think it’s too heavy but I love everything else about it. It does take hours to charge so I recommend charging overnight but the battery life on the charger itself is amazing. I work on my phone 8 hrs of the day for Instacart and I have to charge my phone a couple times throughout the day. This charger can charge it back to full battery each time, barely making a dent in the battery life. I actually don’t even use my wall charger at home anymore. I just use this. Also, I wish it had the port for the new iPhone cords.
Open box item. Compact and lightweight just what I wanted in terms of having a conveniient power boost
After reading all the great reviews I was in the market for 2 powerbanks. I needed good capacity and small size as it will be used for traveling. So far this product has delivered its promise! so I would recomend this to my friends and family too. Brilliant product. In adition to my original revew i can confirm this battery pack is a very powerful device that charges my sony Z5 premium about 3.5 times. very happy customer.
