I did a lot of research on 34'' ultrawide monitors for 2 months. I had a few specific requirements that I could use for Grad School, Work, Reading, and gaming. The monitor looks great and works very well; I have played COD, Doom, Ori, and Need for Speed. I have not seen blurred images or ghosting, no issues in lag or response. Color is vivid and bright. I highly recommend it for daily use. The only negative of this monitor is the build quality feels cheap regarding the plastic housing.

I bought mine on sale but even at full price it is one of the more affordable 2k monitors on the market. Picture quality is a huge upgrade from my old 1080p monitor. All games look amazing on this monitor. Easy to set up with a DisplayPort cable included in the box. The stand is solid and I have no fear of it tipping over. I wish it was height adjustable, but it's not too big a deal as there is quite a wide tilt angle.

Also, the AOC monitor has more freedom when it comes to swivel, rotate, and sliding the monitor up and down when compared to the ASUS. With the AOC monitor being $109 cheaper, it's a great bargain if you ask me. I wouldn't mind using this monitor for the next 5, 10, 15+ years.

The crisp 1440px graphics and the smooth refresh rate are like butter., on both the Mac and PC, and while I can split the monitor into a sort of software-based dual setup with the included Windows 10 app by AOC, I don't need to. I can just WIN+LEFT and WIN+RIGHT whatever I need over there. The extra width is great for writing when you also need a separate web page open for reference. The additional width means more room for your timeline when editing video or tracking songs. I honestly don't know why more people don't own Ultrawides like this. If I had the space, I'd get a second one (I know where to get it now, too) so I can both game and work with a delightful double ultrawide monitor setup. That would be a sight to behold, eh?
I recently went from 3 1080p 60HZ monitors, to this and I must say, it made a world of improvement! A week after I managed to get a 3080 from Micro Center, I went back up to grab this monitor. I've heard stories of going from 60HZ to 144HZ, but I never thought that the jump was so instantly noticeable and smooth. If 60HZ is as smooth as butter, than 144HZ is as smooth as silk. And jumping up to 1440P over 1080P isn't a small leap either. This is a VA panel, meaning it doesn't have the color accuracy as an IPS, but it is more accurate than a TN panel. With that said, it is very bright and very beautiful. It made playing Ace Combat feel even better than before! The extra real estate in the screen size makes video editing much simpler since you can fit more details in the timeline. The monitor buttons are on the bottom, which is a very nice change considering my old monitors had them on the back, and was difficult to navigate. There's options for different game modes, and varying HDR settings. To each their own, so finding the right combination may take a bit of time. There's even an option for a center cross hair. I don't know what for, other than games that don't have one for a specific weapon (like the sniper in Counter Strike). There is one thing that I didn't like, but is easily fixed. The included power cable is a standard cable you'd get with a power supply. You can buy a longer one, sure, but I'd prefer it if the included cable was several inches longer. The cable space I have for my surge protector is so tight, that I had to plug the monitor directly into the wall. This is my only gripe with the monitor. All in all, I'd say this is a must buy for any mid tier gaming monitor of this class. There are better ones, but at a premium price. This more than satiated my desire for a true gaming monitor, and I'd be willing to pick up a couple more should I come across the funds for it.

Performance/use: color from factory is not great, but there are some good guides out there to help get it looking loads better. Refresh is great for work scrolling large spreadsheets, etc. is smooth and clear. Refresh rate for games is good, if not the best, but then again, unless your paying 2-3x as much, you won’t get “the best”. Field of view is great! There is some very noticeable bleed on dark (read: black) screens, but it’s most noticeable when at improper viewing angles, so I use that as a posture check. 90% of the time I do not notice it. The built in USB hub is nice for me since I switch between machines often, so it means I can use the same peripherals without including a laptop dock in my desk at this time and still only have to re-plug one thing to switch back and forth. Ergonomics wise, I wish the stand was a smidge taller, but I am outside the normal height range for any monitor. The unfortunate thing is that the weight of this monitor puts it right on the edge of many monitor arms’ specifications, so be careful if it’s your first time shopping for a monitor arm like me. The factory stand is also inconvenient if you don’t have a deep enough desk, but given that it’s a temporary problem, I’m not too hung up on it. Overall, well worth the money. Spent more for this one, and glad I did.
I was skeptical that curved monitors would distort documents and images. Within minutes I was adjusted. Much easier to view than my previous 27” tradition monitor. It iS the same height as a 27” screen, yet wider. The curved screen is easier on the eyes; hence peripheral vision. As a bonus there’s a built in power bank. You can run SD drives, CD drives, mobile phone, and more from the usb ports below. Note: The USB A or printer cable needs to run from the port on the monitor to your computer to allow phone syncing etc. Also on Amazon you can easily find USB-C female to USB adapters for newer accessories.

The physical edge is roughly 2mm wide, and then about 7mm of bezel on the screen itself (essentially the picture does not extend all the way out to the physical edge, but stops just 7mm short) This monitor is marketed as HDR compatible, but myself along with many other reviewers have a tough time telling it apart from SDR. If you are looking for high-quality HDR, look elsewhere. I would not even consider this monitor as an HDR option.

The rotation of the stand is a godsend as sometimes your monitor needs to be at a different angle to your stand, especially with a tight desk space with a multi-monitor setup. The curve of the screen is 1500R, which is a lot closer to the optimal 1000R than most ultrawides on the market, making it a lot more curved, and actually a lot less tiresome to look at the far corners of because it appears to sweep around you so much.Overall though, colour depth, brightness and response time are all very positive, size is great, and it comes with the DisplayPort cable you need to connect to if you need 144Hz. (Maximum HDMI-HDMI framerate at 3440 is 100Hz). Red accents don't stand out too much if your whole setup is another colour (mine is blue) - but are visible if you want to see them.Very impressed for its pricepoint, and very happy with the monitor.
I got this monitor while on sale. It is good for the money if you want to get into the ultra-wide territory. I am using it both for gaming and work. Multitasking is great and you can use two different computers with the monitor. However, the aspect ratio will be fitted into the half of the screen which can annoying. Other than that, I suggest downloading I-Menu and G-Menu software from AOC website since the control buttons are a nightmare to use. Also, in some games, I realized that the red color is way more pronounced but you can play with settings, and should be alright. Overall, good monitor.
