APC Easy Ups SMV 750VA 230V

Had this a couple of months now and is happily sitting alongside my computer going well ......... you can hear very quiet clicking noise at times as it adjusts the power from over and under the set limit for NZ standards ........ which it is what it is designed and built for. I find hearing the quiet clicking noise quite comforting as it tells me it is doing the job it is supposed to and at times it stops clicking and l notice it straight away , silly really but ......... although it just means the power level is stable. Supplied with a European power plug, and the "SmartSlot", which I bought this unit for - so I can monitor the UPS at a network cabinet with now PC - is not a "SmartSlot", but instead a special "Intelligent Slot" specifically for SMV models. Consequently the SmartSlot network card I also purchased does not fit.

It is a great product for sure, for sure ........ twice the height of my older unknown brand, same length and width though, and, as another buyer mentioned you can hear it quietly clicking away as it does it's job. I have it sitting on the top of my computer unit as there is no heat up on there as my computer has great cooling and the surface is cold to the touch, l had it up there since l bought it, ( 12 months ago ) the unit itself runs cool as it has massive ventilation on both sides, yeah, great stuff. I recommend PBtech for answering all my queries before and after purchase ...
