We deployed some of these to use at our switching closets. They have nice configurations like being able to turn off the alarm when it loses power since some of these are near living quarters. The rack mount capability is nice to keep the closet organized. The only thing that I see is that it doesn't have the capability to email messages on certain statuses.

Rack it and forget it for 24 months then go change the batteries!!!!
APC UPS products are reliable and consistent and our preferred UPS vendor for the office. This is a great size for a critical workstation and peripherals.
Good Points: Hard to find any other UPS from a well known brand that has a 1U form factor and doesn't completely break the bank.Tested a few times by disconnecting from mains and it has held up, seems solid.Includes two short IEC C13 to C14 cables.Improvement Points: Bit pricey but that's the tax you pay for a 1U form factor.Had to get a fairly deep rack (550mm) just to fit this in (and be able to mount it) compared to everything else in there.
I wish it had voltage meters on the front and an extra outlet on the front like my Furman units. I have my firewall, modem and 2 switches hooked up to it and it buzzes every time I power up my Mac Pro, so either it's sensitive or I have other power issues in the room.
Communication between the APC and a standard Unix / Windows server can be established by installing an agent.Configuration of ESXi hosts is quite cumbersome (since no agent can be installed)
