It’s not advertised anywhere, but this iPad SUCKS with Apple Pencil compatablilty. First of all, it isn’t compatible with the 2nd gen pencil, which you would expect. It’s also not advertised as such. Secondly, you have to special purchase a specific adapter from Apple, which is $20 and no where in town has them. It takes like 3-4 days to get. This is because the iPad 10th gen has a usb-c port, not lightening. So this tiny piece is ONLY for iPad 10. You also have to plug everything in each time you want to use your pencil, as it’s not Bluetooth. The shadiest part is that none of this is advertised, so it took me and my partner forever to figure out what the heck was wrong.Wish I I knew all this before. Would have saved a few hundred and gotten the 9th gen. So stupid.

Amazing technology, but Apple overlooked something

I’ve had iPads for many years & have always given the 5-star rating on all units, but this one isn’t quite there. This particular unit is a 5-star upgrade with fun exterior colors, however in order to connect the 1st Generation Apple Pencil, you have to “purchase” an adapter since the unit charges with a USB-C & the Apple Pencil requires a lightening connection, making this a 3 or 4-star rating. So I had to pay another $10 or so for a tiny adapter which was backordered initially. When considering today’s technology, I’m surprised that Apple hasn’t come out with a unit that works with the 1st Generation “&” 2nd Generation Apple Pencil or at least include the 1st Generation Apple Pencil adapter in the box. Apples New Generation

Before the launch of this product I predicted all the upgrades should equal out to about 100 dollars more from the 9th generation IPAD. I missed by 50 and I thought it was overpriced so I wasn’t going to purchase it for that amount. It is on sale now for 50 less so I purchased it. I am not a pencil person, PRO person or interested in trying to turn an IPad into a laptop replacement. It can’t and never will be able to. Apple can trick it out all they want. All I do is transfer small movies and document files anyway. Upgraded screen to Liquid Retina is great for me. Don’t need P3 color. Stereo speakers in landscape mode is nice. Also putting the camera in landscape was nice. 5G is good and I really like the touch ID button being moved and the boarders being slimed down, makes it look more modern. Last of all my daughter gave me a 100 gift card that i put towards it so out of pocket for me was only 300!!!! Now you see why I am so happy with my new IPAD.

Daughter loves it!

I got this for my daughter with the iPhone promotion, and she gets an iPad and I get to try the cute little iPhone 13 mini.My daughter has been enjoying this tablet. I thought that maybe 64 GB might not be enough, but it has not been a problem yet. She is able to play roblox just fine on it, and she can start practicing digital drawing. She a great pen to paper type of artist, so I'm excited to see what she can create digitally, as there are no limitations like supplies besides your imagination. All she really needs is the iPad and the Pen, and if she wanted to get fancier then pen tips or even different pens and the matte screen protectors for that more paper feel.I'm glad she is enjoying it. I also thoght that since it was an older generation of iPad that it might be slow or not have as many features as the newer models, but honestly there probably isn't evena huge different from this one than the next generation.

Excellent Upgrade!

I will say that this iPad is a great upgrade if you are coming from an older model. I know that most media reviews have been knocking this model. Their big question is: "Who is this iPad for?" Well, its for "me"! I don't use an Apple Pencil and I upgraded from the 6th generation iPad. Even though the screen is not laminated, it's still great, and having them upgrade the size to 10.9 is a nice addition. The A14 Bionic chip is no slouch either. Plenty of speed for most applications and tasks. If you're on the fence about getting this, it just might be the one to get. I highly recommend getting the Logitech Combo Touch keyboard case for it instead of the Apple one.

I walked in with a problem transferring data from my old iPad to the new one I purchased. No appointment. I was immediately helped, no hesitation as a walk in. I explained what I was there for and he began looking through settings etc. Less than 10 minutes later he was done and the iPad was working with all items installed and available! He was my hero for the day and as usual, a definite professional asset to your team. He always treats me this way and he deserves a raise or promotion due to his professionalism, ability to find resolutions, explain things. His patience is super intact as well. I’d say it’s a nice improvement over the iPad 9…

Definitely love this new iPad 10…I have the iPad 9, but I’m just gonna use that as a dedicated display for my drone and use this one as my actual iPad for home & travel when I don’t wanna drag my MacBook Pro 14” with me. This seems like a YUUUUUUUGE upgrade from the Gen 9. Larger screen, speakers are better (& in stereo when in landscape mode). Love the Touch ID being on top (very convenient), cameras have been improved, etc. Many complain that you can’t charge the Apple Pencil from the side, but honestly I’d rather charge the pencil / crayon “old school” via a wall charger. My favorite iPad to date!

I had the first Gen iPad, first Gen iPad Pro 12, first and 4th Gen iPad Mini and this is my favorite iPad to date. The weight and size is perfect, I can’t think of any tasks I do which it can’t handle. Using it for FaceTime and Zoom is awesome!!! I added the optional apple keyboard with track pad accessory and it has effectively replaced my laptop. Switching from app to app copying on web and pasting in Word is never easier. Split screen works wonderfully for copy and past as well. The sound is quite good and the battery life lasts me an entire work day with charge to spare. I purchased this online after hours and received it in two days. I can’t be more pleased with this purchase.

Otherwise a great tablet

It looks like a great tablet. It certainly has a penchant for security. The first one would not accept any password attempted. It wound up shutting itself down and would not even allow Geek squad to reset it to factory settings.Geek Squad and Best Buy were able to get me a replacement about a week later. The second tablet is a great tablet too. It set-up just fine. I haven't figured out where the apps downloaded to, yet. The notification they have downloaded successfully was good to know. I'll have to get someone to help find the three programs though. Their icons cannot be found on any "page's" screen. It's otherwise a great tablet. I'll find someone to help me find either the "APPS" or the reasons why I cannot find "successfully downloaded" apps.No protective ... MoreIt looks like a great tablet. Would buy again 10x over

Originally I was going to get last year’s model however when I saw that this years was a difference of $150 I went ahead and invested in it since electronics get old fast. With the eye model there were only a few differences so definitely look it up. For me it was a no brainer. I absolutely love it. This is my first apple tablet.
