The iPad Pro 5th Generation excels with its M1 chip, offering laptop-level performance in a sleek, portable design. The stunning Liquid Retina XDR display delivers exceptional brightness and color accuracy, ideal for creative work. The addition of 5G connectivity and Thunderbolt support enhances its versatility. However, the high price and reliance on accessories like the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil to unlock its full potential can be limiting. While it’s an impressive tool for professionals and creatives, those seeking a more traditional laptop experience might find the iPad Pro less practical for everyday tasks.

Upgraded today from a 2nd gen iPad 11in. And wow... the display is so much crisper. Also, the battery life is amazing. I drew on procreate for about an hour, and still had 99% battery. My old iPad would have been at 70% after an hour. The reason 1 upgraded was because I only had 64gb of storage space, and as an artist.. you run out of room after a while. I also didn't want to go through my pictures and paintings to pick and choose what could stay. So, instead I upgraded! The sound on this model isn't fantastic.. but I don't really use my iPad for watching videos so it doesn't matter. It seems to open apps a lot faster, and just seems snappier in general.

I absolutely love my IPad Pro, I updated from an older smaller IPad and I’m so happy I did. I use this over my IPhone and I use this daily. It’s basically like an all in one , tablet , phone ( I use FaceTime, Messenger and Instagram video chat to talk to family and friends unless I leave my house) , music , TV MacBook camera/video. It has a really nice size screen to see my daughter grandson’s, or to watch something on YouTube or Streaming service. I live in pain so I sometimes live in my bed and this has been such a luxury to have and connect with people who understand and since I don’t get to enjoy stuff I once did this has been a life saver for me. I really get a lot of use out of this. I’d say my only Con and it’s not even really one is how big this ... MoreI absolutely love my IPad Pro, I updated from an older smaller IPad and I’m so happy I did. I’d say my only Con and it’s not even really one is how big this is, but I don’t mind because having a bigger screen also is nice because this is my personal TV. If you get the magic keyboard then I think that you won’t mind the size either. The camera on this is actually really nice as well. I would definitely recommend this to so many different people. It has so much capabilities that I’m still learning. So if you’re thinking about getting this I would.

I upgraded my iPad from the IPad Air 2 to the 5th Gen IPad Pro 12.9 several months ago and it’s the best decision I ever made. It’s sooo expensive but I mean all Apple products are. I got the 2nd gen Apple Pencil with it and I fell in love. The bigger display area. The quality of it not to mention the ability to write on it and it can even feel like writing on paper if you use the right screen protector. For my I don’t like paper feel protectors simply because they make images and videos look grainy and half the reason I enjoy my iPad is for the huge crystal clear display but I don’t mind using the pencil directly onto the screen because I’m careful. I use this every single day. I don’t think apple really needs a review here. I use this every single day. I don’t think apple really needs a review here. Everyone already knows how amazing apple products are especially their phones and iPads and this is no different. The only thing I can say is that the 12.9 is worth paying extra. The display is just right without being too big or not big enough. I do everything on here and I could not live without it.
I have been using my new iPad for a few weeks now. I’ve had a couple issues with my last one so I had to get a new one. This one has storage 2TB to help with my job and storage for photos. It has great battery life too get to keep me busy all day. The display is 12.9inches. Taking pictures is something I don’t usually with my iPad but it is great for taking pictures The portability is nice so I can travel with it.
The display is crisp, and has a good level of brightness even in high sunlight areas. The response time is amazing; a definite upgrade from the 4th gen. I use my device for digital art, and I can usually go for a 6hr drawing session without needing to charge, even in high intensity apps. This storage capacity may be a little small for some, but I prefer the smaller internal storage with the amazing external storage compatibility.
Some things to consider about me: I'm a lifelong Windows and Android user, my last Apple product was the iPod shuffle(!!!). I'm also a graduate student and artist which were my two main motivators for purchasing an iPad. So this is basically the coolest device EVER for being a student. I can't believe how much better an iPad is compared to good ole pencil and paper. I use Goodnotes and currently iOS 15 allows me to splitscreen between that app and a pdf viewer so I can take notes while reading seamlessly. I can also have a textbook open while taking lecture notes which makes it so much easier to cross reference what professors are saying. The writing tablet functionality with the Apple pencil is SO FLUID and dynamic. The writing tablet functionality with the Apple pencil is SO FLUID and dynamic. The range of gestures you can use makes it extremely convenient to write things and make corrections. I remember seeing memes making fun of the Apple pencil when it first came out, but boy does it making writing/drawing smoooooth. Speaking of drawing... I'm a traditional artist - so think pencil, paper, ink, paint. Digital art on the iPad pro is so much fun. I've been using Procreate and it makes me happy that I can start making art at the drop of the hat. I don't want this to turn into an app review, but basically drawing on the iPad is NICE AS HECK. Finally my general experiences with browsing/using apps/playing games have been exceptional. This is probably kind of niche, but I've been playing Old School Runescape on here and it is incredible. Extremely smooth experience and honestly feels like how the game was meant to be played. Watching videos is great, sound is great, everything is great. Overall, I love this babey so much and I never want to go back. #techie #workspace
I’d been shopping around and comparing for a while to decide whether I should take the leap and get myself a Wacom Cintiq graphic tablet. I finally decided to pivot my attention to the iPad Pro 12.9” for the following reasons (in order of importance):1. Mobility - the iPad is basically a PC in itself and the Pro’s configuration has the necessary performance (and then some) to do what I need. The Wacom Cintiq needs an additional module (which is 1.5c the price of the actual tablet) to become fullymobile without the need to carry a laptop everywhere in addition.2. Drawing experience - After months of testing between the 2 technologies, I came to realize that Apple did their homework and were meeting all my requirements (smooth pen play with very little to no pen ... MoreI’d been shopping around and comparing for a while to decide whether I should take the leap and get myself a Wacom Cintiq graphic tablet. Drawing experience - After months of testing between the 2 technologies, I came to realize that Apple did their homework and were meeting all my requirements (smooth pen play with very little to no pen lag, pen weight, pen functionality (the double-tap feature on the Apple Pen 2nd gen. is quite useful), lots of apps to choose from with Adobe also releasing its tablet version of Photoshop. Let’s not forget that the iPad comes at base with its tactical screen (extra$$ on the Cintiq) for easy manipulation during creation.3. Price - Apple’s iPad Pro 12.9” was definitely the least expensive option that still delivers a very decent bang for your buck.4. Real estate - 12.9” is actually still a very good sized canvas area and being fully mobile and tactical make it even better.Loving it!
I’ve had many Apple products and several iPad Pros. The features are great BUT after only 8 months my 2021 Apple iPad Pro 12.9 is unable to be turned off. I tried numerous troubleshooting ideas and nothing worked. I usually have good luck with my Apple products. I contacted Verizon Wireless and they are sending me another one. That sounds great, but something that I don’t understand is I purchased (+$1,200) this iPad Pro BRAND NEW and I’m still making monthly payments for a brand new one yet my replacement is going to be a refurbished iPad Pro. I believe that since I’m still making payments on a brand new, then I should receive a brand new one. I was offered to use Asurion to get a new one, but I would have to pay $200.00. I’m already paying for a brand new one only to be told I’d need to spend more money to get a brand new replacement. Doesn’t seem right. Refurbished electronics always sell for less than brand new ones, so I think monthly payments should reflect now owning a refurbished item. I’m just a little disappointed.
I have used my iPad Pro for years now and I don’t have any complaints. I have the 256gb and it is plenty for work, movies, spreadsheets, anything you want to do. The display is so crisp and the speaker is loud. Using the keyboard cover makes this the same as using a laptop. It is responsive and my go-to device. I travelled the country with it and never had issues connecting, even in moving vehicles. So much easier to carry than a laptop (think airplane carry-on) and does the same work and then some if you add making phone calls! I will give up my iPad when they pry it from my cold dead hands.
