Disappointed. Refurbished demonstration model would have expected battery health 95/100% as it is tethered and plugged in as a demo. Health is 84% which they say anything over 80% is acceptable by them. No mention of this in any advertising. In fact it says “pristine ex demo”.My interpretation of 84 % health is not pristine. Would not have purchased if I had known health was this low. They have, with goodwill, asked me to transfer data to another phone and send new phone back for a replacement battery I no longer have old phone so they suggest I buy another phone to transfer data to in order to send it back to replace battery. Duh!! Otherwise I can claim on warranty when it goes to below 80% in less than 12 months. All I want is for them to pay for my replacement ... MoreDisappointed. After my last iPhone died when going swimming then being left out in the sun, I decided on a reconditioned phone. A bit of a gamble to be honest as I've always gone and bought sim free iPhones new at great expense when a replacement is needed. This one is like new.. No scratches, no scuffs, no wear and tear and no sign of previous use. It's like unboxing and setting up a brand new phone whilst saving hundreds of pounds. So far it's excellent and nothing at all to notice between a used and new phone. This has changed my ways of going straight to Apple or a high street shop and emptying my wallet into their pockets for a brand new one. Top marks.

Buy a new charger as well!!!!

I’m not in love with the Apple brand phone, and have never used one so maybe using a refurbished iPhone before a brand new one doesn’t help me like my experience, but here is my month and 3 weeks experience with this particular phone. It’s a nice enough phone but for refurbished I figured bugs and ticks would’ve been fixed. However, the camera doesn’t focus very well unless you’re in selfie mode. Scrolling can be obnoxious. Moving in either direction, even slowly, I end up having to go back because it skips several things, so looking for something in particular can take twice as long as it should which makes it frustrating. Bought a new ONN. brand charging block yesterday and I’m quite surprised at how crappy that other block was. I can actually use the phone and I feel better about my purchase. I highly recommend that whomever buys a phone from this company, make sure you buy a new charger. It makes all the difference in the experience. Check OfferUp 1st least you can inspect the device

The phone showed up in 2 days which is great and without any blemishes on the device which is wonderful. I opened the box and inserted my SIM card and inspected the phone and the problems that I ran into was 1. The phone battery life said service, I checked it and it said 77% which is horrible. Since it was refurbished you would think they will change out the battery. 2. When you go to take a picture with the phone the camera is jumpy like your hands are not study or you have parkinsons and the camera zooms in and out without you even applying those functions. 3. The in call phone volume is horrible. I am not sure who inspected these phones or why Walmart would use a third party and not inspect the phone but Im very dissatisfied. And the kicker I bought the 2 year protection plan through All-State and I still seem not to be able to be helped with an exchange of this phone or a full refund and I just purchased this phone. Im in the 14 day window. I would not recommend buying this device. Maybe you will have better luck than me but to save you time and money your better going through a certified refurbished deal or offer up. I bought another one on offer up and almost paid the exact same price as I did for this device and the protection plan and that device works like it was purchased out of the Apple store.

Defective item and cant contact seller

I bought this phone as a backup to use for a work account while working out of country. I received the item on June 10th, June 11th I fully set it up and before Im halfway through setting up the phone the button starts getting extremely hot to the touch.. contact seller with no response. I wait several days as I dont need the phone quite yet, try again and its dead (low battery mode in a cool dry place with no usage).. charge it and try again. Start setting up apps that Ill be using and it gets warm but not as bad but I notice the battery life is terrible, fully charged it and its at 20% within 10 minutes. Contacted seller again, no response..Finally need to use the phone for work and it is worthless. Contacted seller again for a third time today now that Im back stateside after not being able to use the phone at all since arrival of item.

This is a really great phone. The battery that was included was garbage but honestly, that was expected. It’s a trade-off I’m willing to make every time - huge discount ($hundreds) on a refurb phone for the cost of a new ($60) battery. Worth it!The only reason I’m not leaving 5 stars is because there are two issues- the battery that it came with got extremely hot when I charged it- to the point that I feel it might have been dangerous- that should have been addressed even if it was just a bad battery; so I rushed to replace the battery without having sufficient time to ensure that this phone will be fully functional- if it turns out to be insufficient, I’ll be out the cost of the battery. I don’t love that- I’ve ordered, but not yet received, a converter. At least they’re easy to find. Another bonus that I love- the charging station. The iPhone 8 can be placed on the charging stations/pads instead of being plugged up. I have a specialty phone cover, so I have to remove it to charge on the charging pad, but still worth it. And last- the memory!!! The options on the memory are gigantic- so I can save as many photos or download as many games as I choose. It’s phenomenal!All in all, very pleased with this choice and with this seller!

Excellent phone but needs new battery

I purchased this phone to see if I would even like IOS. Well, I sure do and I'm not looking back. For an old phone the device it quite fast at everything. Almost no slowdown or lag when loading or using apps. Even YouTube is fast. The interface is smooth, and the phone readily updated to IOS 16.1. The only downside is the battery. It's 5 years old and it shows. The phone discharges too quickly. I love the phone and am going to have the battery replaced. A battery replacement is only $50. The phone, despite being old and a refurb, looks brand new. Mileage may vary on the cosmetics. I would buy this phone again.

Great deal on used iPhone!

Paid $200 shipped for this supposeably used iphone and condition wise it is perfect. Can’ tell it’s been used at all. Not a scratch on it! I think it was a great deal for this 256k iPhone 8. Only slight issue was battery only rated at 76% but seems to last ok. I’m only using as a Wi/Fi device so it stays plugged into power most of the time so battery useage not really an issue. Received quickly with no problems. Been using for a week now and very happy with device. iPhone 8 is fully updateable to lastest ios (16) so works as well as iPhone 14. Not bad deal for only 200 bucks. I had been using iPhone 6 for years but apps quit working due to only ios12 available on it. So this solves that issue perfectly.

Purchased as a gift for my 91 year old mum

The alarm system which my siblings and I had bought for my mother has not been very satisfactory and rather than replacing with something similar but more efficient and effective she decided she wanted an Apple se series watch which has falls detection as well as heart monitoring and a trigger for emergency intervention. Shed learnt about this from an elderly friend who had also got one. Its waterproof so she can wear it in the shower. She can read the displays easily and is very happy. If shes happy then Im happy. Id also like to add that it arrived promptly in very good condition. So I would trust again and recommend this seller.

Significantly degraded battery/broken loudspeaker

I will first admit that it is my fault that I didn't immediately turn on this phone and make sure it was working properly. I was dealing with some health issues and I didn't get around to setting up the new phone. I turned on the phone and the first day I noticed the battery was terrible. I checked the battery status in the SETTINGS and it said the battery was "significantly degraded" and needed to be serviced. Then I noticed that the bottom loudspeaker does not work. So I contacted the seller and admitted that I was two weeks past the eligible return date but they stuck to their policy and would not work with me on any type of return. I am stuck with a worthless phone and need to buy a new one. Complete waste of $150 bucks.
