Apple - Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter

Had to buy one of these so I can use my Koss Porta Pro with my phone. It’s better to spend more on an original Apple accessory than buy a cheap copy where you’ll spend more in the long run because the cheap ones break easily. Beyond the Box always delivers original Apple accessories. Will buy from this shop again!PS. SPX Express is literal sh*t. They misrouted my package and it took me an extra 2 days before I got it. Customer service is spotty too. Use J&T Express if available.

Get a different one. It works, but honestly, what were they THINKING with this design?! This is overpriced, fragile, medium-quality, obtrusive, poorly sized and has bad design. It pops out enough to be a bother and is too short to warrant the wire in between. Its so flimsy and short and the edges hurt since they’re designed as a square. Theres no locking mechanism so it can pull out and get lost, its not meant to be a permanent attachment so you’ll easily loose it taking it on and off. Its just this little annoying piece that lays around waiting to be forgotten. The design makes it get in the way and is awful. What a design flaw to design a straight stick coming out the bottom of a phone! I feel when the headphone plug twists in the jack, it makes an audible difference that is unfavorable. Not to mention, this flawed design makes it so that you can’t charge your phone, nor share listening with someone else! If I made a dongle, it would be completely different from this poor design. Not to mention the price is crazy! For how poor this is, they overcharge a LOT. I’ve gotten better off-brand ones for less and I use those, not this.

My little life saver on more than one occasion. It’s small, and very strong. I thought I would eventually have an issue with the connector pieces coming apart but have never had an issue. I also don’t feel like the sound is at all different from when you have your phone plugged straight into the headphones vs using this. The downside is this is only compatible with the old iphone charger slot , and not the newer iphones. It’s rare I use wire headphones, but it always saves the day when one of my bluetooth options are not available to me.

Two things: First, my use case is somewhat unusual - happily I took a chance on this after updating my iMac to a system with the Apple Studio and Apple Studio Display. The Apple Studio is excellent, but I've placed it off on a corner of my workspace; though it comes with a 3.5mm jack it's... inconvenient to access. The chance I took is whether I could use this USB-C adaptor from my display - thus placing the connection to my wired earbuds right at hand. And it works - I have a convenient 3.5mm connection from the display with this adaptor. I don't have a USB-C iOS device yet, but might end up using this there as well. Second, I don't have firsthand information on this, but I've read that Apple's new USB-C earbuds have been very ... MoreThis has worked out well for me. If you don't do much while you use this adapter, it works fine. If you're like me however and use this adapter while walking, riding your bike, doing chores or anything that requires the adapter to bend or twist in anyway, even if the movement is gentle, be prepared for this thing to start freaking out. In only a month any random nudge, pull, bend, or twist of the adapter can cause a video or song to pause, skip, or play without me having to hit any button on my headphones and it drives me nuts! It forces me to be extra careful with how it moves and sometimes that doesn't even solve anything. The only reason why I haven't given this thing a one star rating is that it still works fine despite the issues. Inexpensive Adapter for Using Analog Headphones

Apple has been on a campaign to eliminate connectors and controls from their products because of their preoccupation with minimalist styling. Those of us with quality analog headphones are forced to use an adapter because there is only one plug connection on the recent phones and tablets. This adapter works fine with either 3 wire or 4 wire connections and the mic and analog control switches on the headphones work properly. It does not have enough power for my classic AKG K240DF studio monitor headphones (600 ohm) nor for my HiFiMan HE5se which both require more power. And you can use the adapter for other USB devices such as flash drives or even a digital camera.If you need more output power then I suggest the Apple Lightening Camera Adapter which includes a USB A connection plus a Lightening port for power. With this adapter you can use variety of quality external DACs (such as an Audioquest Dragonfly) and get a better feed for quality headphones and connecting to other components.

Imagine setting out on long, slow train or bus trip. Your cellphone is stuffed to the brim with favorite or yet-to-be-heard songs & podcasts.You have a good pair of headphones, no noise bleed, etc...... then realizing as you pull out of the station that---you forgot this itsy-bitsy adapter, which is extremely drop, lose-or-forget.As many have learned the hard way, even the greatest headphones in the world can be rendered useless w/o this White thing (as my wife and I call it).They are often hard to find, seems there's not even another brand that makes them. They are already known for their stellar assortment of headphones (with dedicated space to try them on for size and sound).But, they also have the common sense the sense to know that great headphones won't matter if you don't have one of thesewhite things (as my wife and I call them) in stock.(Seems like whenever I find them, they're around the same price, near 10 bucks, and considering they are SO easy to lose, I wish there was a better 3-for-1 deal offered, but I guess Apple steers that ship).Anyway, if you are actually EARLY for a train (rare for me), I love the B&H, Pizza Supreme, and Moynihan Train Hall trifecta (oh, and/or Vesurios or H&H, also in the station).

Was the Final Prize Worth It? I’d say maybe.

I had some issues getting the Walmart package as there was some issue whether it be Walmart’s or my apartments problem in not notifying me as to where my package was. No picture was left all it said was delivered and it took a week for the apartment to finally find it was put in the package room. (They didn’t let me search the package room myself because it was a security issue- whatever…)Alas, the product does work as intended and I originally bought it so I was able to use the standard headphone jack, while my AirPods were missing. I ended up finding the AirPods before I found this package so I guess the original need is now useless.But they work so I’m giving this four stars!
