Awesome Watch!

I absolutely love my Apple Watch 8. The screen is a bit bigger than I'm used to since I upgraded from a FitBit, but since it mirrors my iPhone I never miss a message (as long as my phone is nearby) and I love the reminders to move. I've become more motivated to close my rings each day. I would give it 5 Stars, except that the one feature of FitBit that I liked that is not available on Apple is the food tracking. On FitBit you entered your food on the app and it automatically tracked your exercise so you always knew how you were doing on calories in vs. calories out. With the Apple you have to use a 3rd party (I chose MyFitnessPal) app to track food and while the one I use does sync with my watch to track steps, I have to manually enter any additional exercise I do. ... MoreI absolutely love my Apple Watch 8. Decent replacement strap for your Apple Watch

I don't think there's anything too fancy about this strap. It's a cotton stretch band that's pretty comfortable as well as stylish. I have this on my Apple Watch Ultra and it fits fine. Due to the larger size of the Ultra, the band looks really thin by comparison so that's a style choice you're going to have to make here. For normal sized Apple watches, 45mm and under, this one is the same width as your OEM band. Normally I have a wider nylon strap on my Ultra however this one does feel a bit better as well as it's much easier to slide on/off.The band is pretty stretchy so you can easily slide your watch off with little effort as opposed to unhooking or undoing any clasp you have on whatever band you're using now. Don't buy the Allstate Protection plan

I never write any reviews, but the experience I had buying this watch was unpleasant, so I decided to write one. Hopefully, other customers don't experience what I had to go through.I ordered the watch on October 11 and received it on the 14th. One week into using it, I started to see that it was heating up and turning off while charging. Since I bought the Allstate protection plan, I thought I would contact them rather than return it to Walmart. They told me to mail the watch to them so they could repair it, so I did that. Two days later, in the morning, I received an email saying they had received the watch. The bottom line is there is no use in paying for the protection plan from Allstate. I called them to see if there was any way I could get the watch back, but they kept saying that they had refunded me the amount for the watch, and that is what the plan covers so they couldn't return the protection plan cost. I even told them that they could take that gift card back and just return that watch to me. They said they would get back to me soon. I really hope Allstate can fix this.I will come back and update the end result.

Fantastic watch - if a smartwatch is what you want

This is my wife’s watch - but I bought it and I also own an Apple Watch so I’ll leave this review. I also own a Garmin Fenix 7 solar…but the two watches shouldn’t be compared. If you’re an athlete and all you really care about are athletic measurements and data related to your workouts - the Garmin is what you want. The battery life on the Fenix is ridiculous, too - so if you plan on running Spartan races for a weekend, the Garmin is probably also what you want. All that said, if you need a smartwatch - I’d challenge that there isn’t a better choice than the Apple. Most of what the majority of people will be doing with their watches can be accomplished with the Apple Watch. If I had to choose between the two watches as an ONLY watch - the Apple Watch would win. Short battery life aside, it’s a fantastic watch and you won’t regret having one on your wrist.

I just purchased a new phone & decided to go the distance (and get the watch!). I purchased the 45mm series 8 (GPS-non cellular) version and love it. I am a gadget person, so it fits right in with my "hobbies".I thought that a smart watch was the last thing I needed, and perhaps is not needed, but I'm sold on its convenience. I have my watch face setup with my shopping list, email, texts, weather and the option to quickly check my calendar. I also setup another face that can be quickly accessed with a swipe to show an alternate set of icons.I definitely recommend this if you have an iPhone. The Apple sales rep at Best Buy was very helpful in assisting me with each model's differences. I chose this over the SE since it has the "always on" feature. It's Heavy my arm hurts

I purchased this online through the chat and I wish I had gone to the store to see it first. I have had it maybe a month now. It's very masculine and the magnetic wrist band catches my arm hairs. When I went into the chat and ask questions, the person chatting with me was brief, asked if I wanted this watch, I was unable to switch between the online verizon chat and the pictures of the actual watch, I just thought stainless steel would be the color of the watch band and silver would be the color of the watch, no not at all, the watch band is magnetic metal and the watch itself is heavy and a flat silver, so that was the second thing I didn't care for unless I was a masculine and it's probably more fitting for a masculine person. On Monday I noticed my arm wasn't hurting and I thought nothing of it, by Wednesday my arm started hurting again so I took off the watch to see if that was it and by Friday my arm had stopped aching. I had to go buy a bumper for my watch anyway so I picked up a light weight more feminine watch band. I don't wear it as much as I did when I first got it because tho its not as heavy as it was since I took the magnetic band off, my arm is still slightly achey so I don't wear the watch when I sleep anymore, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of why I got it, so I could keep track of stuff regarding my health. It's going to cost money to switch the watch to my husbands phone and then money to switch my old watch back to my phone so it's kind of a waste of money since I am now only wearing it when I leave the house, I havent even had it a month. The shiny excitement has fizzled. Sad.
