Very nice and quite comfortable to walk on. Yes - there is a strong earthy smell at first - you will need to air it out for a day or two. It will also need quite a lot of vacuuming at first. After a few run overs with a strong vacuum, the shedding stops. These little inconveniences are worth the effort for this lovely runner. We bought two, and are very pleased. Might not have purchased if it was not on sale though. The cost is a bit precious from my perspective. I'm hoping the runners will last for many years.

Really happy with this purchase. It's lovely and soft to walk on and looks great. I was after a jute style rug, but I liked that this one has the white wool through it to break up the colour and add a bit of extra texture. I was glad that I had read other reviews which had said some rugs need to be aired out due to the smell of the natural fiber. When I opened this rug it was a bit smelly (natural fiber and it had probably been wrapped up for a long time) so I hung it outside for the day, and it was much better when I brought it back in. As usual, great fast delivery too.

I really like the appearance of this rug, and the quality is quite good for the price point. It suits my spotted gum timber floors, dark grey couch and navy blue walls well. My only dislike is that it has to be anchored in all 4 corners to reduce movement as it is not a sturdy rug. The underlay doesn't help all that well to keep it in place. Since moving it under my tv unit it has stayed more true to its shape but can still show a wavy edge. Overall though, I am happy with this purchase and delivery was very quick.

Beautiful rug. Good quality and very thick and Cosy. The colour is perfect.Warning!!! It emits a very terrible smell. Due to the jute. It’s getting better but be prepared to put up with the smell for a few weeks. I used bi carb soda and carpet deodorizer and still there’s a slight smell. Apart from that we do love it.

This is the second item that I have ordered over the past year from Temple and Webster. On both occasions the product arrived promptly and within the specified time frame.The rug that I purchased was exactly as I expected, and I am very happy with the product, it is the right size for my lounge is comfortable to walk on and I could not recommend it more highly. An excellent product and I believe an excellent price.

Beautiful neutral coloured rug with excellent texture. Very smelly upon arrival which is likely the wool but it attracted all the flies sitting in the garage and needed significant airing before being enclosed in a clinic room. Would recommend you prepare for this prior to putting directly in the room. Otherwise, it is truly a beautiful rug.

Disappointing

Ordered this rug and when it arrived it was much darker than portrayed and smelt damp and musty. I rolled it open to see what it would look like in my tv room and when I rolled it up again, the floor was covered with sand. I returned this carpet and had to endure the expensive return/ replacement process. Once bitten twice shy!

Fantastic rug, great value

This rug looks every bit as good as in the photos and has helped bring our new living area to life. The combination of textures works really well with the wool beautifully soft underfoot. It is great for doing yoga on. Make sure to get a non-slip underlay if using on tiles or floorboards.

Quality rug

I love this rug, it is more than I hoped for a beautiful rug. The quality is amazing and it is soft, I was worried it may be scratchy like some jute rugs but this one with 70% wool is lovely to sit on in comfort.Sarah was amazing, so helpful as I had some doubts of what size to buy, I took her advice and she assured me I would be happy with my rug. Totally enjoyable, fuss-free and satisfying experience. After searching for 8 months for the ideal runner (4m length) and entrance hall rug I was pleased to find one online. I then hesitated as the drastically reduced price made me nervous the quality would be compromised!It wasn’t ….
