I bought this pants and it’s almost unwearable only three month after. The fabric is really not of good quality. Several holes appeared on the top of the thigh and a pocket is
totally torned off at the back of the pants. The fit is great but don’t expect it to last more than a season.I’m a climbing guide,I’ve been buying Arc’teryx products for the last 20
years and the product quality has drastically deteriorated. I had a issu with a Gore-Tex jacket last year and these pants are probably the last product I’ll buy from Arc’teryx.I
don’t recommend these pants.

The terrible warranty and quality for this product. After a normal hiking, there’s a small hole caused by a brunch. I tried to get warranty for this and they told me this is not
their quality issue but it’s due to my misusing. They can only provide a tape to fix this hole and can’t do anything else about it. Bad quality and warranty services, don’t waste
money on this pants.

Initially was afraid of the cotton blend material after feeling it and putting it on due to the limited strechability compared to it's previous one. I use this for multipitches, trad,
and sport. What I can say is I never actually found that it limits movement or what not, but I definitely noticed it's not as stretchy as the previous one. If you do the splits for
example, the pants wont slide up as the previous ones did to adjust to the splits, but more that it just becomes a bit tight like jeans do.Belt buckle issue is fixed but a button,
which is solid. The waist tightening adjustment strap only provides little room for adjustment, so make sure you get the right size. I find that the cotton material ... Show more

Comfortable casual-looking climbing pants
1 November 2021
Bought 2 pairs a month ago and have used frequently in the indoor rock gym. They have exceeded expectations, especially with the comfort/style aspect. They are very comfortable have enough stretch to not impede movement while climbing, and the built-in 'belt' is appreciated. I am 5'10" 160 lbs and the medium fits well. I suspect the medium short may be the perfect fit length wise, but they were out of stock at the time. The length of the regular medium is a touch long for me, but not to the point of being an issue. They shrink a little in the dryer on low heat, so if the fit is perfect before washing, consider air-drying. I saw previous comments about lint being an issue, I have had zero issues with this (the colors I ordered were Ladon and Tatsu). Can't comment ... MoreBought 2 pairs a month ago and have used frequently in the indoor rock gym. They have exceeded expectations, especially with the comfort/style aspect. The only place I can tell any sign of wear is the knees where there is a slight pilling, but that is to be expected given the material of the pant, and to be honest I didn't even notice until looking very closely at them to write this review.... Comfy and Stretchy
10 April 2024
I first owned the Konseal shorts and loved them so I had to add the pants. The material is light and stretchy making these pants very comfortable for everyday wear. I have an Italy trip coming up and I bet they make great travel pants, not only for 10+ hours on the plane but for hiking and sightseeing as well. I guess I'll find out! I'll be bringing my Konseal shorts and Cormac hoodies as well.My only wish is that they had a button at the waist instead of a snap.... Show more

Downgrade
14 May 2024
Compared to the older versions of the Konseal Pant, these are a bit of a downgrade sadly. The addition of more synthetic fibers can be a + or a - depending on taste, but the biggest shame is that with the change in material, the fit has changed. The previous versions a slimmer fit that easily slid under a harness and was easy to wear to the gym, crag, or simply casually in more urban environments. Depending on one's preference, the older version which sported more cotton into the textile, was arguably more comfortable next-to-skin while offering great mobility with the gussets. All in all, the previous versions were a more superior pair of pants.... Show more

Great fit and mobility but lacks longevity
23 April 2021
The fit of theses pants is perfect on me, slim cut from waist to cuff but are in no way restricting. They look great on and off the rock and the harness accessible cell phone pocket hides well in the outer leg seam. Even though the cell phone pocket hides well but isn't as practical as other pants I have owned, overall Id say it's average. The major problem I have with these pants is the materials durability and longevity. I think they are too thin for a an outdoor climbing pant. After only a few outings I already have a small hole in the seat of the pants and can see the material wearing thin in the knees. I would love to see theses in a more durable abrasion resistant fabric that sacrifices some breathability. For climbing and everyday use I can't see these ... MoreThe fit of theses pants is perfect on me, slim cut from waist to cuff but are in no way restricting. Great pants with one major design flaw
28 April 2021
These pants are great for climbing (mostly). They are quite comfortable while moving, and the snug fit around the legs is a wise move for climbing without excess material flopping around your ankles. I also like how Arc'Teryx has reintroduced the integrated adjustable belt - it's a step up from the older design in the Pemberton pants, more lightweight and streamlined. The one major flaw, however, is that the zippered pocket was placed in a ridiculous location for a climbing pant - when fully closed, the bulky zipper lies underneath the leg loop of most climbing harnesses (I've tried several). When weighting the harness, the zipper cuts into the leg and is really uncomfortable. I've gotten around this issue by removing the zipper pull tab and leaving the remaining ... MoreThese pants are great for climbing (mostly). In this way, the zipper lies below the leg loop. I'm surprised no one tested these climbing pants with a harness during the design phase!!!... Show more

petroleum-based plastic fabric - thumbs down
12 April 2024
Very disappointed with the switch from cotton to plastic. Why did you ruin the best designed climbing pants on the market?Natural fabrics are the most skin friendly (and the most earth friendly), not the petroleum-based ones.if you want to poison your blood with micro plastics there are plenty of other plastic climbing pants out therealso ... these pants make lots of noise when you move !Bring the cotton back !PS - According to the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) over 346 million barrels of oil are used every year to make synthetic fabrics like polyester, nylon and acrylic.Food for thought.... Subdued Slim Style with Stealth Stretch Mobility
19 April 2021
Crossover style. Trim fit...almost a skinny taper. Stealthy black logo on thigh. Cotton, non techy appearance, as extra pocket is hidden well. A very professional looking pant for dressing up (if you're a dirtbag) or dressing down (if you're a Suit who's off to meet YP for a pour-over to discuss her non-profit's website). Then, you squat down in them and realize you can do Jean-Claude Van Damme suspended splits in these pants.
