I replaced the thermal paste on an Asus Rog GL553 laptop. It has a common cooling path for GPU and CPU. After applying the paste, I saw a decrease of 4-5 degrees both in the Idle state and when running more graphically intensive games or applications. For what it does, I am very happy at all.

The Arctic MX-4 Thermal Paste is probably, or is, the best value thermal paste that you can get. After using the thermal paste, my average temperatures reduced by about 5 to 10 celesius, while it doesn't sound like much, it really does help a lot. The Arctic Thermal Paste is definitely worth it both because of its price but also because of its performance.

I recommend this thermal compound but the supplier/shipper didn't have the greatest shipping. I ordered this and a PSU at the same time. The PSU came in perfect condition but the box that the thermal paste was in was crushed and badly damaged. The box had pen writing all over it, seemed comparable to what I'd expect from a used product. Regardless, the tube itself was fine and in good condition. Just a small thing but it was quite noticeable.
I have used the MX-4 on all my Fan and Pump installs. A little thick for spreading though it seems so I just use a blob. Could be my tube is getting old. Temps all lower than stock and no complaints. Bonus is no conductivity in the event you dork and put too much on your CPU chip. Recently put an older model Artic Freezer 7 Pro fan on my Ryzen 5 3600 chip with small pea sized blob of MX-4. HA! idle 40c. Ran Fortnite for a while and stayed in 60-70 range. What more do you need?

Mx-4 supposed to be within 1 or 2 C degree different and has a better price.Today I swapped the AIO setup that I have for my graphic card with the same AIO but an upgraded mounting mechanism.temp on old setup was avg idle ~38C, load up overwatch gives me about ~48-50Cthe first attempt installing w/ new mounting bracket using MX-4 was idle ~50, load shoot up to 90. I knew I did something wrong with the New Kraken G12 since there is a different mechanism to install.I got a better result on 2nd attempt, start with good idle temp ~38ish and slowly increase to 48ish, the load temp is about 60C.I then just swap the paste to whatever left of the thermal grizzly paste, idle ~34C load is ... Honestly I don't think this product warrants between 1-5 stars. It either works or it doesn't. And it works. Is it the best out there? I don't know, probably not. But I do know that it's not the worst. It does what it's supposed to. I was using the factory thermal grease on my H110i and recently rebuilt my system. I didn't really do a side-by-side comparison but I know where my temps were before the rebuild and they aren't any higher. If any thing they may be lower by up to 5*C. So I'll take it. I'm happy with the product, hence the 5 eggs. Would absolutely recommend. If you're a hard core over clocker then probably due some research to see if there's something better suited to that. But for general usage, day in and day out this stuff is fine.
I dislike the fact that this Artic MX-4 4g Premium Thermal CPU, GPU and Ram IC thermal paste item was all dried up after dispensing the compound on to one of my Intel 2011 processors and it become so dry after the material came out of this tube dispensor completely.To my understanding the manufacturer Artic can improve this by making fresh batch of this thermal compound cpu, gpu paste that does not dry so quickly when used which is what happen to me already.Buyer beware if you are looking for good thermal paste for your GPU, CPU, heat sink items or whatever, please google thermal conductive paste in a 500G or 100G container and you will get fresh material for real, thanks!
I have a 6 year old Intel NUC, and lately I had been noticing the fan ramping up more frequently. Also, it was having difficulty playing full HD video in fullscreen mode. The system was idling around 54 C, and there was one webpage that would cause the fan to go to maximum RPM and the CPU temp would spike to 89 - 90 C! So I shut down, took the NUC apart, and found 6 years' worth of dust caked on the cooling fins and dry, crusty thermal paste (from the factory) on the CPU. After blowing out all the dust, cleaning off the old paste, and applying a fresh coat of Arctic MX-4, the system now idles around 36 C and runs as cool and quiet as the day I bought it. Fullscreen HD videos are no problem, and when I went back to that one webpage, the temp only got up to about 65 ... worked fine for me definitely practice on a cd case or something like that draw a cpu size square using the plastic guide they usually have in the pack. only say that because its definitely paste but a odd consistency by that i mean all the thermal pastes I've used have been that way. softer then toothpaste but think gritty consistency maybe and its not that easy to spread for the perfectly even thin layer approach i like to use over the blob in the center or the small x. offers peace of mind knowing its covered completely but gets messy and tacky if you don't get it right in the first pass or 2. so practice or just do it over till your satisfied. cover close components because this stuff is hard to get out of nooks and crannies
