I purchased this product at Best Buy in Toronto. I read rely great reviews about it and decided to give it a try. The problems started immediately. At first, I couldn't detect the base station and had to power cycle and try a different phone before it detected the base station. Before I set it up I had charged both cameras for a day. When I checked the app, one battery was nearly dead and the other one was at half power. I assume the batteries were just duds. Nevertheless, I set up the cameras with the semi okay battery, which took some time to find despite standing right next to the base station. After setting it up, I found out that it didn't automatically give me the year of cloud based storage. I do like the color video at night, but the cons are too many to offset this one benefit. Oh yeah, I tried zooming in to read a license plate like they show in their ads, but at no more than 3 meters away, the letters were blurry. I'm annoyed that I have to do even more work to return it. Most likely I'll stick with my nest cameras, even though the viewing angle isn't great and there's no color at night because at least it works.

Love it. Did not realise how effective and amazing this is until I got it. Easy to install and once up I can keep an eye on my car and the children playing outside. So easy to set up with the app to check the camera and love the live feature. Especially the fact that it's all in colour. The light is great as it shines across the road if I was to ever spot any suspicious activity then I could check my app and see it.

This item is amazing. Most definitely one of the best security cameras I have had so far. It’s so easy to set up, easy to install, and even easier to use. I connected it to my iPhone and it was picture perfect for our back garden. Not only can we see if we have intruders but we didn’t realise how busy the wildlife was too. Great night vision and such a viewing distance.

Set up this Arlo Pro 5 Security Camera at our front door to keep track of our deliveries. I could say that it is a fantastic wireless CCTV camera with impressive 2K HDR video quality, color night vision, two-way audio, and a built-in siren. It does not require a hub for connectivity. The camera provides excellent security and surveillance, making it an excellent choice for homeowners like me. However, the 30-day free trial is limited, and need to pay a subscription for ongoing usage. Overall, the Arlo Pro 5 is a great choice for those looking for an outdoor security camera with advanced features.

Video quality (both in bright and dark situations) is excellent. Notifications come relatively quickly, with only about 10-20 second delay (perhaps could be better.) The only complaints are that the app is a bit slow to connect to the cameras sometimes. Google integration is also not great, with a huge delay in bringing up the camera feed after making the request to google assistant (sometimes you have to ask it a second time for it to work, but by then 1 minute has passed.) So far I am very happy with this camera. I didn't have too much trouble setting it up, connected to the app easily which was great. The quality of this camera is second to none, I haven't seen such good quality on a security camera before, especially when using the zoom function. The spotlight is really bright and I'm sure would be enough to deter any intruders in itself, but also the alarm is really loud and clear if needed. The night vision quality is also brilliant. Overall this has made my home feel so much safer, especially when I'm home alone at night.
I am absolutely amazed at the high quality of this security camera. Lots of high-end features including live video streaming, motion sound alerts, object detection and a fantastic integrated spot light and colour night vision. The battery life is amazing and there is also a low power mode. The detailing on the whole thing is amazing
Bought this Arlo Ultra as a replacement of Arlo Pro 2 who’s base station failed after just 4 years. Although I was disappointed in the failure just after 4 years but had cameras that could only work on Arlo system so decided to cut my loses and give Arlo one more chance.The new package arrived without the magnetic mount (2 cameras but just one screw-in mount). Phoned Best Buy but was told to contact Arlo. Arlo said they would send a new magnetic mount but 3 weeks later still nothing from Arlo...When they work they are OK but low battery life and many of the features are only available if you buy other Arlo accessories and/or services that cost much more than the original sticker price.Best Buy in-store staff knew nothing about this product - no help ... MoreBought this Arlo Ultra as a replacement of Arlo Pro 2 who’s base station failed after just 4 years. If you are not planning on paying for a monthly subscription the cameras are terrible. First off the alarm on them is useless very quiet and more of an annoying sound rather than an alarm. Lots of basic functionality stops if not paying for the monthly subscription, being able to record locally is slow and doesn’t offer thumbnails of the recordings making it difficult to find the recording you want to see, recordings often freeze after 10 seconds making the cameras pretty useless. Also had one of my 10 cameras stop working altogether luckily within the 1 year warranty time frame, but wouldn’t be surprised to see more go down. I’d avoid this product. Lots of confirmation on their own site’s Arlo community help blogs.

Which to about 3 hours I set up the camera via the Arlo app. The process was straight forward and I had the camera working very quickly. There is a lot of setting that can be change for personal preference . To get these right for me it did take a couple of days to set the camera to cover the area I wanted to protect. The more functions you enable like Light, Siren ETC does cause the battery to drain quicker. Fixing the camera was easy as well . 3 strews hold the bracket in place. Battery life will depend on functions enabled. 1 charge for me with most functions working lasted for 3 weeks. Smart looking and not too big.
