I have used this device many times when doing audio work in older buildings with poor grounds, or in distributed environments. It gives two channels of isolation and does not distort the sound when used correctly. Definitely recommend.

Did exactly what I needed it to - suppressed ground noise coming from my PC's USB port and amplified through my studio speakers. Galvanic isolation worked perfectly.
Overall:We provided lighting and sound for another DJ a few weeks ago. We had a bad hum when we connected their laptop to our system. We worked on the grounding and minimized it but it sill bothered me. We have used our system with many laptops in the past but had never had this problem before. I purchased ART DTI Hum Eliminator. The two channel is great for most applications and I recommend every DJ and sound tech have one or two in their gig bag. I also purchased the 8 channel rack version for our outputs to eliminate potential ground loops with my powered speakers and subs. Great isolation transformer at a very good price for the quality.
It looks great and it has RCA, but, do not waste your time or money. Spend the extra ten bucks and get the Ebtech HE-2-XLR and buy the converters. Why? Because it does eliminate much of the hum, but adds a squirlly noise on the high end. I bought both this and the Ebtech HE-2-XLR at the same time because there were no good reviews so I thought I would buy both and compare. I returned the DTI and bought another Ebtech. Please don't try and be cheap, spend the few extra dollars and save yourself some time.
This wee box saved ny bacon on a television recording date...we were set up ready to go when the monitor opined: '...lit of noise on the double-bass d.i. line....tried changing leads, using the d.i. -10db pad, swapping it out for another etc, etc...no good...then the tech guy pulled another wee box out - an ART unit same as this - put it in line between the link from the d.i. and the amp input and...no more noise, clean signal, job done and gig and recording saved...so had to get one...an essential addition to my oul kit bag for shows, definitely recommended...!
There are a lot of reasons for 60 cycle hum. Sometimes they are easy to fix. Sometimes not. This box has eliminated hum issues that often occur when integrating someone's whatever into my home studio. It removes even the worst hum and is totally transparent. This are also build rock solid. I don't play out, but if I did, I would want one in my bag to avoid issues.
I have used the ART Dual Transformer/Isolator Hum Eliminator in several places with our church sound system. It eliminated most of the hum from our A/V systems audio board connection to the main sound board. As long as we have the gain on the main board a little low, we have no noticeable hum. It eliminated all the hum from our A/V systems PC sound connection to the A/V audio board board. This had been a big problem as the PC is connected to a projector that introduced a lot of inteference into the system. It also eliminated the hum from a long monitor speaker cable connection that required connecting two speaker cables together to reach the distance I had to cover.
