This model is equipped with a DUOMAX support system that provides a more stable running experience. The placement of the foam on the medial side of the midsole provides a stronger density that prevents the foot from turning inwards too much (overpronation). The lug pattern of the outsole is made of ASICSGRIP rubber, while the tread pattern for uphill and downhill running on the lateral and medial side of the shoe improves traction on slippery terrain. Additionally, a stone protection plate helps keep the outsole flexible and protects the foot from abrupt terrain or scree.
