On viewing of these runners 7.5=41.5 which I was happy with as that is the normal sizing of ASICS. On payment the order states 7.5=40.5. This really worried me as I wanted 41.5 runners. When they arrived the box said 7.5= 4O.5 and yet the shoe itself was labelled as 7.5=41.5. The box had a 40.5 sticker over the European sizing. I bought this to the attention of Sports Direct when I had to return a black version of this shoe in November which comes as 7.5 equalling 40.5.I got no satisfaction from the company as they ignored the problem that I was highlighting. Will not purchase runners from Sports direct as I worry they are not authentic Ascics runners. Something funny going on I really believe.

These are my fourth set of Cumulus trainers which I buy because they have had deep backs so I can put extra inserts in them without compromising in support for my ankles and grip. Unfortunately these new trainers are much shallower so whilst I am keeping them they are not as good for me as previous ones. Also they have such skimpy laces. They have to be absolutely even to be able to tie a bow and a double bow is very difficult. Rather disappointed.

Great support and cushion. The cushioning is felt through out the entire length of the shoe and excellent support at the same time. Toe Box is narrow compared to other Asics model shoes. For narrow feet this is a good thing since not many models of shoes come in narrow width. Works very well with custom made orthotics; just unlace the shoes or make laces very loose to remove the insole and insert your orthotic. The shoe has plenty of depth for orthotics; you do not feel you are coming out of the shoe. A great improvement from several years ago,

I was hesitant to purchase these based on the reviews. But I took a chance and I can see why you’d either love them or hate them. The shoe fits like a compression sock, and it just so happens that it fits my foot perfectly. If it does you’ll find more control and support. I feel so agile and light wearing these. It’s as if the shoe is part of my foot. There’s no sliding around at all or the heel coming off slightly like most running shoes. My feet are slim, medium arch and width. The only way to know if this shoe will fit is to try it on. Good luck!
I started wearing Gel-Cumulus in 2004. They were amazing. I wore them exclusively for a decade or so. And then the design changed. The went from cushioned and amazing to walking on cardboard. And the sizing was all over the place. I would try each new release, but ended up having to go with other brands. Then FINALLY the design came back with the 22. They were like the "old days" of Cumulus - sized correctly, wide widths (that were wide), only imperfection was the laces were too short. I was so excited I bought 2 pair. When it came time to replace one I went straight to Asics for another. Annnnnd, we are back to narrower wide widths, my usual size is too small, and I kind of hate the material. Blah. Fail. I considered trying a size up, but I'll go back to my back-up ... MoreI started wearing Gel-Cumulus in 2004. They were amazing. I wore them exclusively for a decade or so. I am a fan of Asics shoes! Since Cumulus 22 saved me during my first full marathon I do not buy any other trainers. This Cumulus 23 are beautiful blue like a water and comfortable as a cloud :) As I often run long distances I always buy 1,5 size bigger and it is the best solution for not having any "runner's toes".Cumulus 23 are very comfortable, durable (my previous was with me muuuuch longer than recommended) and are perfect for those running long distances on the road surface. No issues.
I love that I can easily slip these on and they stay snug in place. The size was exact for me, but I have a narrow foot. The running responsiveness is great. I felt like I could go a little faster using less energy and therefore increase my distance comfortably. The problem was, after about 5 miles, they really begin to rub my skin in several places. It doesn’t happen if I wear socks, but these seemed like the perfect no sock shoe. It really was not fun the first time I realized this, mid long run. And socks + these being so snug = hot feet. Sorry to say, but I would have gone with a different pair if I had known this in advance.Despite that, the quality is there. I can see these lasting many many more miles! I run 40-50 miles a week on roads and gravel trails ... MoreI love that I can easily slip these on and they stay snug in place. The size was exact for me, but I have a narrow foot. I apparently didn't read the description well enough. The sneaker top is mesh and so is the top where the shoelaces tie. They were very comfortable when I initially tried on and decided to keep them. My first wear, I wore for a 2 mile walk, shopping and also grocery shopping. I felt I was getting a blister. I perhaps wore them too long on the initial wear. I need to break them in more and maybe night tighten the laces as much. I feel like they will be a good shoe in the long run.
I've been wearing the Gel-Cumulus model for years. My first pair was the Gel-Cumulus 14. They always fit like a glove and were so supportive and comfortable. I bought the Gel-Cumulus 23 model, and they are by far the WORST pair I've ever owned. Honestly, I think the pair I ended up with didn't go through QC or something. There was not nearly the amount of cushion and support I expected, and within a couple weeks I began to experience horrible foot pain in my right foot. I finally put two and two together and realized it must be the shoes. I immediately stopped wearing these for my daily workout, and my foot pain slowly subsided. Needless to say, I threw these away. I ordered these shoes because they seemed like the right fit for me (run long distances and need waterproof because it rains or heavy mists daily). I wore them once, and the gel part on the heel started coming apart from the fabric and the sole. There were other areas that were falling apart as well. Shoes were also not as comfortable as I would like for a long run.On their website it says that this company stands behind their products; however, to make a return, the items have to be unused. Submitting a warranty was horrendous. Only trades were allowed! Nevertheless, I will no longer be shopping with Asics.
