This games visuals are top notch and maps are pretty accurate in terms of game maps. The gameplay is amazing and I’d recommend it to anyone who likes story based games. The controls are easy and you learn quickly. You can definitely replay this game since I have often.

My first Assassin's Creed Title: This game is truly one to cherish. It has a great storyline, incredible maps, and a plot that truly gets you involved in the game, living it alongside the characters. However, as this game is a bit dated, you might find it a little annoying because of the graphics, or gameplay mechanics. Honestly though, I don't care. This game is incredible, and a real thriller.

Extra ordinary game, Perfect story line which sums up all the Assassins Creed

This assassins creed game combines all other assassins creeds together to make one. By adding the option to hunt animals and sell their skin/meat/items makes this game more better, Amazing graphics and game play. The combat system has been perfected from the old assassins creed games. I reccomend not watching any videos of this game, but buy it and play it for your self there are a few hidden surprises. There is only one thing this game lacks: No option to buy/upgrade armour...

Fresh Story With Minor Bugs. [PS3]
12 January 2013

I won't bore anyone with an extremely long review, so I'll attempt to keep it short. The visuals of the game were quite good for it to be on a PS3, but Ubisoft was very deceiving in claiming it would bring the look of "Next Gen" to consoles. It failed to do so in my opinion. For PC, yes, the game looks superb and if you have a good graphics card, the visuals are stunning. As for the story and gameplay, both are excellent, though if you're looking for a captive and emotional story like with previous Assassin's Creed games with Ezio and Altair, you'll be disappointed. As I understand it, the team that constructed Assassin's creed 2 through Revelations weren't a part of the making of AC3. As I understand it, the team that constructed Assassin's creed 2 through Revelations weren't a part of the making of AC3. This could probably be because Ubisoft wanted to give the player a different feel of the new character (Connor) and the atmosphere by bringing in a new team to make the game. In that sense, they did just that. Whether it was for the better or worse, that's up to you. There are a couple of minor bugs--those I'm sure you've already read about, but it's nothing too serious that will intrude with the gameplay much and/or take from the experience. It's small things, like your horse getting stuck in crevices of things and glitching about until you move around enough to get free, etc. The only bug that I'd say is particularly annoying are those in which take away from QT events. At times in the game when the camera is supposed to pan in on your character for dramatic effect and essentially 'guide' you in the path you're supposed to go.. it just won't do it. This happened quite a few times, and I ultimately had to YouTube where to go in one particular instance near the end of the game because I just didn't know where to go and kept failing with the few seconds the mission would give me to catch up to someone.Overall, great addition to the series and I hope Ubisoft has more for the Assassin's Creed franchise up their sleeves.

Good Game, but not a fantastic ending to the trilogy
11 November 2012

The game on it's own is good, the gameplay is improved and the free running is essentially the same fun assassin's creed parkour. The multiplayer is actually really great in this and this was a surprise to me as it only took an hour before I was completely done with the multiplayer modes in previous AC games. The game is incredibly buggy however nothing that should stop you from getting the game if you want it and I am sure these bugs will be fixed soon enough. The biggest negatives with this game though is that it has a ridiculously slow start, as the game does not pick up until you are at sequence 6 which is halfway through the game and about 5 / 6 hours into it. The missions are not very interesting and more or less are very basic aside from the odd mission that stands out, but it is quite repetitive and also shorter then previous assassin's creed games. The biggest problem, by far, which will effect AC fans the most is that the 'conclusion' to the trilogy is incredibly poor. This game was supposed to be the final in the trilogy of Desmond's story, however the ending is not really an ending, it is poorly written and just sets up another Assassin's creed game and it feels like they just did it because they didn't want to lose a series that makes so much money. However other then that the story is okay, and at least mildly interesting, but probably won't blow you away, the cities you visit in the game aren't as cool as those in Italy in previous games, and Connor (the new assassin) isn't quite as impressive as Ezio was, although he has some entertaining weapons such as the rope dart. The frontier (area with trees outside of the cities) is pretty interesting and there is a lot to do in this game, a myriad of side missions and collectables that will provide a fair few extra hours to the game after you finish the story.

If you care about product support, AVOID
1 January 2013

Ubisoft Support are literally the single worst support service I've had to try and deal with in the past 30 years. If you buy Ubisoft products, and anything - anything at all - goes wrong, expect at least 3 times their estimated response time before you see any reply. When (or if) you hear back, it's unlikely that their first 3 months' worth of responses will actually include even a single sentence that relates directly to what you asked. Keep pushing, and even if you get "that's a known issue, we're working on it" there's not much chance that anything will ever be done about the problem. This particular game isn't totally horrible (unless you care about the multiplayer, which is broken), but rather than merely not recommending the purchase of Ubisoft products, ... MoreUbisoft Support are literally the single worst support service I've had to try and deal with in the past 30 years. If you buy Ubisoft products, and anything - anything at all - goes wrong, expect at least 3 times their estimated response time before you see any reply. If you find a problem, trying to get a solution probably won't be worth your trouble. Also, while the gameplay is good, there are still bugs in the game engine - most of them carried over direct from the previous games. More content AND less bugs should be expected in a 5th installment (counting the two AC2 spin-off games), but that isn't the case here. It's particularly puzzling when you consider this game has supposedly been in development for 3 years, and is built on a "new" game engine (it doesn't act like anything more than the first game's engine with another facelift though). The first Assassin's Creed was actually in a better state in terms of animation quality, and had less glitches than this game does.Graphically, each individual frame looks amazing. Screenshots show off the incredible detail in the game, but when you watch all the games in the series in action, the positive impression unravels. From the first game on, each game has more detail on-screen, but with choppier animations because of it. One of the biggest points in favour of the original was the fluid way Altaîr moved. That major selling point has been diminished as the series has grown.Compared with most games outside the series, even the worst Assassin's Creed release is still very fluid, with all the animations tying together quite neatly, but the only game in the series which AC3 compares favourably with in this regard is Revelations.Along with the graphical problems, there are issues with clipping. The player character and some NPCs sometimes fall through the ground, move through walls and other objects, and just generally fail to react with anything like the realistic physics the game usually tries to work with.In spite of all that, I won't say the single player experience is bad - the problems with it, while annoying at times, aren't common enough to completely ruin the experience. There have been other games I've enjoyed with worse bugs. But don't buy it for the multiplayer, and there's more reason to expect bug fixes in Kingdoms of Amalur (the developers no longer exist) than there is for anything with the Ubisoft brand. If it weren't for the aggressively unhelpful attitude of their "support" service, I'd probably rate this 3 or 4 stars, but when customers are not merely being ignored, but pushed away for trying to help the company improve their products, even the single solitary star I'm rating this with seems like a generous offering.

Overall, I'm
2 December 2012

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with the game. Given how much it was super-hyped leading up to its release, it's been pretty mixed in terms of overall reception from the fanbase. AC is an absolutely epic game series. In 30 years of gaming, it is probably #1 or #2 on my list of best game-series. I really hope the crew that did AC2 and ACB are recalled to work on future games because those guys and gals just "got it" and knew how to make a magical game. Really hoping we head to France next for the French Revolution. The backstory has been created with Lafayette meeting Connor. You might be wondering why I gave it 2/5 eggs since I still had a good list of pros. The ending of the game is so epically bad (Desmond specifically) along with how bad the storyline flows that it's just not a good game. There are also numerous bugs in the game that should have easily been fixed before release. My hope is that the next game (the DLC is on its way, maybe it will help also) will reinvigorate the series without destroying everything that it has been able to stand for thus far because this series is awesome overall. Performance -- I've read that ATI / AMD video cards are having performance problems with the game currently. Given that I'm running a GTX 680 and NVidia released a beta driver a few days before AC3's release, I have had flawless game performance, so for you ATI guys, I'm hopeful they will release a hotfix / beta driver for you shortly so you can play the game. Performance for me was great though -- 1920x1200 with every setting maxed out with the exception of antialiasing, which I dialed down a bit. The beautiful Game
18 October 2022

Assassin's Creed III is a huge and well written game, the graphics are gorgeous and realistic. Dialogue and plotting are quite impressive. There are lots of side missions, mini games, places to explore, hunting challenges and hidden treasures, as well. Such a great game is a must-have and it deserves to be part of anyone's Wii U library! :)

Assassin's creed 3 brings everything you could ever want. the graphics are as beautiful as ever and even improved. The combat has been revamped and is very fun to use. The weapons in the game are very new and very different to the weapons from previous games. The knife has been replaced by the tomahawk, a native american small hatchet, the crossbow has been replaced by the bow and arrow, the hidden gun has been replaced by the flintlock pistol, and all-new weapons have been added like the rope-dart. a new free running system which enables tree running (which is incredibly fun) has been added to the game and makes traveling easier and safer (it ensures you wont jump off a giant cliff unless you really want to). and i haven't even mentioned a quarter of the amazing ... MoreAssassin's creed 3 brings everything you could ever want. the graphics are as beautiful as ever and even improved. Now to the cons: ezio was a humorous and very likable character, when someone back stabbed him, you'd feel as if you're the one who's been back stabbed. with connor, thats just not the case. connor is a boring, emotionless character. its just as simple as that. you dont really want him to win at all. you feel totally neutral. connor's emotionlessness was enough for me to think of this as a 4 star game, but then i played the desmond side quests. they were fun and very refreshing from all the old stuff. you feel just like how you feel when you enter the frontier for the first time. its a totally different environment that you just cant wait to explore.
