Purchased the Air Assault a couple years ago and I LOVE it. Not afraid of it any more either. It's my winter ride, since there's no commuting in the cold and snow here.1. If you sweat on this bike, and you better be, rust will show up right away. TIP. Apply clear nail polish over the areas most likely to get wet.2. I think the handles are a little thick for most users. I'm used to it by now.3. The position of the handles does cause some minor shoulder strain/ tendonitis with long term use. A lightly angled handle would be optimum. At least for me. It would allow my elbows to stay closer to my body and relieve that strain. I am looking at a DIY fix for this.

Very easy to assemble. I bought the Assault Treadmill on Black Friday and this came free with it. Now I've got the rower, Treadmill, and bike. What more could I need for cardio. My teem son has also enjoyed adding this to his workouts. The only annoying thing is I keep tightening the left peg that holds the handle part and it keeps loosening. I think I need to also tighten the bolt on the other side while turning it. Also the seat keeps coming loose too and will turn side ways. I think until everything settles you will have to make some minor adjustments. I know that some people hate having the air blowing at you but I thibk it helps to stay cool. This bike is intense, you will not regret having it. Came packaged well and not damaged.

Let me just be honest here...I had always heard how great these things are. I imagined crossfitt games use them, those are the fittest people in the world so. This is a great Bike! All-around workout for the entire body. Burns your legs within a couple of minutes, great for upper body as well. I typically use it to warm up before lifting & after lifting, About 5 mins each. Some days can be used on a off day (from weightlifting). Yes a little pricy but worth every penny. I wish it had a backlight for the screen that's the only thing ( i workout in the early am when its dark). It is a little louder but i listen to music so doesn't bother me. Basically sounds like a typical fan on high (maybe a little louder). The wind blasting u in the face sometimes annoying when its ... MoreLet me just be honest here...I had always heard how great these things are. Do not purchase from assault fitness. Delivery time was very reasonable and it comes mostly assembled so set up was super easy and the build quality is excellent! But the best part is that the Assault Bike is hands down the best high intensity total body workout I have ever experienced! Iâve had the bike for about 3 weeks and have dropped 5lbs and already looking leaner and feeling noticeably stronger. This is also the perfect all around piece of indoor equipment for the cold winter months. I couldnât be happier with my purchase and will be enjoying my Assault Bike for years to come!
Having been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 16 years ago, working out has not always been good for me. So now in Northern Vermont it's time to start switching from outdoor bike rides to an indoor activity. I researched several indoor possibilities and chose the Fan bike. I'm only 5 foot 4 inches so fit was a concern. The assault bike Pro was my final choice. I made the right choice. The bike was easy to assemble, once I got it in from the driveway where the Fed Ex person "dumped" it off, which was no easy feat for this 71 year old guy. I've been slowly making the transition to it over the last few weeks while still getting in my outdoor rides. No HIIT yet but I will eventually work up to that. The bike just fits me with the seat lowered all the way. It is so smooth to ... MoreHaving been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 16 years ago, working out has not always been good for me. I've been slowly making the transition to it over the last few weeks while still getting in my outdoor rides. No HIIT yet but I will eventually work up to that. The bike just fits me with the seat lowered all the way. It is so smooth to ride and easy to control the level of intensity. The build quality is impressive. I did change out the seat for more comfort. Thank you Assault for making such an excellent bike and at a reasonable price. This bike is as close to gym quality you'll get without spending much, much more. I'm looking forward to increasing my workout times and intensity over the coming weeks. I would say to anyone who's "on the fence" about getting the Assaultbike Pro, I don't think you can go wrong with this bike.
I was very excited when my bike came in but Itâs been a couple months and I am still unable to use it. At first the console wouldnât even turn on so they sent me a new one for free (the customer service was quick and responsive). Once I received the working console, I started using the bike and thereâs a vicious clicking sound coming from the fan area. I cannot figure out what the noise is. It makes using the bike unbearable and I feel like something is going to break further. So I reached out to Assault and they immediately initiated the warranty process. How am I supposed to return this large piece of machinery? I donât have the box anymore. This has just been a headache
Good news first. This machine has become an industry standard and you can find a good workout on it for sure! Even better, itâs sturdy and doesnât seem like it will require much care. The bad things are: if your 6â1â or taller the seat post may not go high enough. There is detectable play in the parts that adjust, even when the adjusters are tight. Itâs plenty strong, but I find the low tolerances annoying. The Bluetooth/ant connectivity doesnât work well. I was provided a list of comparable devices AFTER purchase and the latest Garmin stuff (which is both Bluetooth and ANT) doesnât pair. This incompatibility is a big deal for me and probably would have changed my decision to buy. Lastly, if youre like us and your workout has you mounting and dismounting a spinning bike frequently, you need to be super careful! This thing has âbitâ most everyone I know. Iâm not sure this is an approved way to use the machine, but there are simple fixes for some of the liabilities and they havent been made.
It is the best cardio machine in my opinion. I enjoy using it, because you can get a high intensity workout in under 10 minutes and it involves your legs and arms. It is a knee-friendly alternative to running that is as high intensity as running. Solid build. Easy assembly. Love it.
Pros:- Solidly built frame that seems like it will hold up well over time- Clear display to track calories, watts, time, etcCons- This bike is *really* loud, with a majority of the noise coming from the drivechain connected to the flywheel. For my first ride I did a moderate effort of 150 watts for 15 minutes in a large gym room at home, and I have actually had tinnitus and pain in my ears caused by the noise for three days afterwards. As of now, the bike is completely unrideable without ear protection. It seems like there is some hardware optimization that could be done to make the machine less loud, including shipping the bike with less initial chain tension, adding vibration dampening of some form to the flywheel, and tightening up the tolerances in the ... MorePros:- Solidly built frame that seems like it will hold up well over time- Clear display to track calories, watts, time, etcCons- This bike is *really* loud, with a majority of the noise coming from the drivechain connected to the flywheel.
