Beautiful monitor I love that you can change from 27” to 25” easily so whenever I play an FPS game it’s much easier and I still keep the High frames. And whenever I feel like playing a game in high graphics to relax I put it back to 27”. There’s also a lot of great color. Adjustments aswell. I also had a 240hz monitor before this and you can tell the difference. This is a keeper for many years.

I have owned or currently own the LGC2, the 175 hz ultrawide Acer predator x38, the 240 HZ BenQ Zowie, and the 270 hz 1440p Asus xg27aqm. Gaming on this is completely different. The combination of motion clarity and color vibrance is just nuts. I went into Apex Legends and I could feel the change from my other monitors to this one immediately. I can hit shots on this that I couldn't on the others. Everything slows down just a little and because the colors pop, you also see your opponents more clearly. Quick math lesson here. Since there are 2560 by 1440 pixels in this monitor, that means there are 3.7 million pixels and don't forget those pixels consist of red, green, and blue subpixels. So if one is dead, who cares? Are you guys serious? It's like you won a date with Alexandra Daddario and you are complaining about the dress she wore. Good grief we are entitled. I do not think mine had any dead pixels, I dunno, because it turns out a pixel is really really small. If you got the hardware to drive it, upgrade from HD to 1440p and leave your dated TN panels behind. Yes the 240 HZ oleds have a faster GTG, but that doesn't mean they have the best input lag, that has to do with other image processing elements beginning from the cable and ending at ur display. This is faster than OLEDs for total display latency and about 2.5 times brighter. If you are sweaty, this is your new home.

Great, but panel uniformity is disappointing
21 May 2023

I was very excited to use this monitor - while the motion clarity and colours are great, I found that the panel uniformity was disappointing. On the top left and right areas of the screen it's slightly darker. While this isn't noticeable in games, it's definitely noticeable on the desktop. Given this is one of the most expensive monitors you can buy, you shouldn't be expecting that kind of flaw. IPS glow is also somewhat noticeable too if you have a dark desktop background. This was also my first 27" monitor, coming from a 24" 1080p display. I can say without a doubt that 1080p 24" is way more comfortable in comparison. Even on 25" mode, I still preferred 24" especially on the desktop. Heartbroken and Stunned.

Heartbroken and Stunned.!!. I have been saving up for months for this monitor. It had all the right stuff, as far as I was concerned. 2k, High refresh rate, Reflex Analyzer. When I first turned it on, I could not believe the gorgeous colors. Never knew I was missing this much eye candy. Plus, I trust Asus, I'm also running their Z790 maximus hero on my new DreamMachine, and I have had no problems whatsoever. I figured I was set for long while and was looking forward to having bragging rights in my gaming clan. But on the second night, Played A Lil COD mw2 for about an hour, took a quick 10 min break and came back to a screen so dark I could not see the windows splash screen, I tried all of the quick fixes recommended, but to no avail. So, I returned. This monitor slipped thru the QC cracks and at this price, it should not have happened. I believe in your products as I said before, I have one of your mobo's on my main rig. BUT,, your QC on this product is not what you've build your name on. So please fix so I can give this model another try,,Faithful buyer.

Heartbroken and Stunned. QC Issues made me return.
7 September 2023

After saving up money for months, and after researching dozens of models, I decided on this monitor. It had all the right stuff, as far as I was concerned. High refresh rate, Nvidia Reflex Analyzer, even the Asus nameplate. I have Used several of their mobo's and currently running the Maximus Z790 Hero on my main rig. I've never had a problem with this companies' products. I was so excited to have bragging rights owning one of the top monitors on the market. BUT,,,,,,,,,, On the second night of ownership, I walked away from computer for a quick break, and came back to a monitor that was so dark you could not see the windows screen. No matter what I tried I could not get it to reset and come back to normal, followed their quick fixes to no avail. I'm in a gaming clan w/ over 100 active members and a lot were also surprised this slipped thru the cracks of ASUS QC.So needless to say, I'm forced to return. Heartbroken and Stunned. So UNFORTUNATELY, I would stay away from this monitor for a while until ASUS can prove they fixed the QC problem with this model. I hope it will be soon,, Because I really wanted this monitor to be my showcase piece on my gaming rig.

It's only a keeper if...

You don't try other monitors next to it. Originally I purchased the asus 27QN which I was extremely happy with until I saw it had a dead pixel. Before returning the 27QN I ordered and received the AQN. I wanted to see if there was a justification for the price difference. When I tried them side by side I noticed that the AQN panel has slightly better color than the QN at the same/close to settings. The QN also looks more washed out next to the AQN. Picture smoothness is comparable. In the end I kept the AQN because I wanted the better looking monitor. Had I not tried the two monitors side by side I would have been happy with the QN.AQN calibration out of the box is on point.

Not humane enough, a lot to improve
3 May 2024

there is no customized profile setting, like press one button on the monitor it will change everything to the customized setting, everytime i try to use it's high perfomance, i have to enable ULMB2 and G-sync esport mode manually, the 25 inch mode warning is not able to make it unseen, i have to wait til it's gone everytime I get off full screen mode and it's at the center of the screen which is annoying. other than these, it's been treating me well. I'm considering a 3.5 star review

Not what I thought it was going to be.

I was a little disappointed with how many calibration steps and settings I had to adjust. And I have made multiple adjustments over the last week of having the monitor. It still doesn’t seem right. Also I got this monitor with the sole purpose of getting night frame rates on the game that I play most. That didn’t happen. Even though I have a system capable of getting the max frames I am still only getting 150fps.
