I've had this display for over a year now and I use it between four and twelve hours every day. As I said in my original review, this display works very well for a variety of activities. I've edited over fifteen thousand photos, generated and printed countless documents, trusting the color accuracy every time. I don't find the included x-rite colorimeter and software as useful as the x-rite i1 studio I purchased separately which I use on other displays. The color accuracy from the factory is excellent and consistent. I would prefer if Asus offered the colorimeter as an add-on rather than bundling it with the display. When I first got the display I thought it was noisy at times but discovered the noise came from something else. The display is actually very quiet - even at the brightest settings, even using HDR. I never use the brightest setting since it can be blindingly bright. I keep it around 300 nits.I only the HDR for playing games and for that it works very well (Civilization VI, Divinity Original Sin 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Control, and others). It is limited to 60 Hz, unlike the more recently released and much more expensive PA-32UCG model which I have yet to test out. I use an NVidia RTX 2070 Super to drive this and a second similar display. There is a basic, Standard display mode that I use when I'm not playing games or doing my work where I need the high color accuracy. The standard mode is easy to spend many hours looking at without straining my eyes. The built-in speakers are anemic and nearly useless. I prefer a Logitech 5.1 speaker system instead.I appreciate being able to switch easily among the built-in modes by using the joystick on the back right of the display. I use the multiple inputs to connect the display to two computers. My Logitech MX Keys keyboard has a nice switching feature for this.Yes, it is an expensive display whose list price has increased since I first purchased it, but I stand by what I said: it's a great display that works well for a wide variety of activities and can save you from having to buy multiple displays to suit each purpose.

Color reproduction is spot on for my landscape and Astro-photography post processing. It's BRIGHT! I've also used it for casual gaming and it's perfectly fine. It's driven by a RTX3090. It does have an internal cooling fan that is noticeable when it's running. That's my only complaint besides being very pricey. But, you get what you pay for quite often.

Just a reminder...

Those who want this to buy for gaming, buy a GAMING MONITOR! This is for art not gaming unlike someone who thinks it's for both. There are HDR gaming monitors out there.

Very bright! and lots of features
3 September 2020

I've had this two weeks now and have yet to sit down and figure out what all the settings are, but so far I'm pleased. It is connected to a high-end PC with an Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super graphics card and works well.Pros:4k resolution, 10 bit color, color accurate display that also supports HDR. This satisfies both my photography hobby and my PC game playing. The game graphics are incredible! Very sharp images and colors that jump out. I wondered if a 32 inch display on my desk would be too big, but it's been great. I have an older NEC P242W alongside it and they play well together. There are a full complement of cables provided by Asus, which is great. It would be nice to have a 2 meter Thunderbolt cable rather than 1.5 meter. The height and rotation adjustments are smooth.I appreciate B&H shipping it so quickly, in great shape, and free shipping.Cons:Expensive! Possibly more than I need, but no other display has all the features this one has.Did I mention it gets very bright especially with HDR enabled? You have to carefully manage it. As one reviewer said you can get a sunburn from this, but I thought he was kidding. When HDR mode is enabled, if you have a very dark or black background, bright white objects like the cursor can have a faint halo. This halo effect was reduced by the latest NVidia drivers, and I think Windows revised the mouse to be slightly gray which helps. Since you'll only be playing games or HDR video when/if you notice this, it is otherwise not an issue. I disable HDR to work on photos. I also use this for my financial analyst work, so the RGB and other muted modes work well. The speakers are too weak to be useful, but I have a Logitech 5.1 system anyway. The control buttons are on the right back side of the monitor which is not ideal. The on screen display helps a lot as does the joystick button. Not a deal breaker, but it would be nice to have controls on the face or perhaps software controls.I have not yet run the included color calibration tools on this, but judging from the colors and comparing those to my calibrated NEC display, they look good. Since I already own the i1Studio I wish I could have saved some money and omitted the included calibration tools. If you mainly play games and don't need the 10 bit color, check out the ROG displays instead. If you mainly work with photos and need the color accuracy, there are cheaper monitors out there that will be just fine. But if you need/want HDR and 10 bit color, there are very few options out there. This is a good one.

good monitor for budget HDR color grading
15 December 2020

Used this model for HDR color grading in DaVinci Resolve. Connected to grading workstation through BMD DeckLink. Good model for small budget SDR & HDR post production.
