This is called coil whine and it comes from too much electricity flowing into the display. I thought I would have to send it back. Even the tech at ASUS told me to put it back in the box. Could I possibly adjust it and save myself the trouble? He had no idea. But I looked around and found a suggestion: Instead of using USB-C to connect it to my laptop, use HDMI. I changed the input on the display itself, and... it worked. No more whine.So with that in mind, this is a good--maybe not great--display. As everyone says, it's excellent at this price. For me, that's good enough.

Very easy to calibrate and compare to my printed pictures. Several different Mode Settings to choose from then calibrate the monitor. I have to admit that I did this by eye rather than using a dedicated device. However I am very pleased with the comparison of the prints to the display.I really like the USB-C hub and ability to daisy-chain to a 2nd monitor. I am able to connect my external hard drive to the monitor and leave it connected rather than having to disconnect every time I take my laptop away. The file transfer speed is still quick.

For the first few weeks, the monitor worked like a charm. However, since then when switching display inputs or when waking up from sleep.. the monitor leaves the display source text permanently on the screen and I need to power off and power on the monitor every single time. Sadly I missed the return window and will go through ASUS's manufacturer warranty process.

This monitor works great, looks great. As odd as it may sound, the thing that impressed me the most was the ease of assembly (following the QR code video; the enclosed printed instructions are really bad!). The packaging is even designed to make it easy to assemble - and helps you avoid breaking anything.

The monitor is bright and has excellent color. I really like the 16:10 aspect ratio, the extra hight is great for viewing documents and web pages.
The 16:10 aspect ratio at 24 1200P is the perfect monitor to be productive. For viewing and editing photos this monitos is brilliant. Had multiple inputs (2xHDMI, 1xDP, 1xUSB-C). The one con is if you plan to use a chromecast. The resolution does not match and videos are bit wonky in terms of resolution. That said, using this with a mac or PC is a charm!!!
After my Apple Thunderbolt Display perished, I was in need of a new monitor. Checked out a bunch of recommended displays but reviews were sketchy. Plus I was able to get this monitor next day through Amazon. I do graphic design and Illustration so definitely was in need of a new screen asap. I've had it for a couple of days now and it seems to be working well. The color is true/easily calibrated for the projects I need to complete and the price point is quite affordable. Not sure how long the monitor will last but it's doing the job for now.
Display looks great and installs quickly, but I'm greatly disappointed to learn that the USB ports on the back and underside of the monitor apparently aren't powered, and therefore aren't good for any external use, e.g. a speaker or a camera. I'm puzzled as to why they're even included. I called the help line several times and was told they are for internal use (?) and that external devices need to be plugged directly into the computer. This makes no sense. The ProArt display that this one replaced had 4 USB ports that worked just fine. Go figure.
