When I was looking for my next keyboard I looked at many others from other manufacturers but all of them looked and felt like toys compared to this. The feel, the look, the materials used are first class. With the LEDs on it looks amazing. The switches(linear) and keycaps are great, I'm already typing faster and feel that I will be even better. Coming from membrane keyboard I was expecting that typing might be loud but actually it’s ok, I like the sound of it.Overall a solid keyboard that was build to last, very happy with it!Have to upgrade my pc, I will definitely check out other ROG products.

If your a keyboard enthusiast who enjoys building and and customizing keyboards, but want something with ROG styling and access to the Aurora Crate software integration, this keyboard might very well be for you. Like the original Azoth, the extreme edition provides users with the ability to disassemble the deck down to the silicon, swap out damping layers and change out keys and stabilizers to your liking. The biggest selling features of this keyboard include:1) The build quality on everything is superb... like to the last fit and finish this keyboard is just perfection on the fit and finish. The entire case is metal, the OLED is in color and all elements of the keyboard (yes even the silicon layer) is ROG branded.2) Because its a ROG keyboard, the keyboard is ... MoreIf your a keyboard enthusiast who enjoys building and and customizing keyboards, but want something with ROG styling and access to the Aurora Crate software integration, this keyboard might very well be for you. The entire case is metal, the OLED is in color and all elements of the keyboard (yes even the silicon layer) is ROG branded.2) Because its a ROG keyboard, the keyboard is pre-programed and 100% customizable within the ASUS Armory Crate software. Plug and play with the ability to customize and integrate with all the other elements of your PC without the hassle of having to program everything yourself (that may be a con for some enthusiasts who prefer customizing both the hardware and software)3) The typing experience really is amazing. In addition to coming with great switches out of the box, everything is hot swap, so you can change the keys for something else of choice. However, if your like me and prefer a solid typing experience, ASUS has built in typing damper.. on the bottom of the keyboard you can flick a switch and it will lock the layers in tight for a nice firm typing experience. However, if you flip it the other way, it releases the layers and allows for a softer typing experience. Of course, you can also modify this experience as you see fit by adding or removing layers within the keyboard. Now all of this sounds great, however, there is a catch! This keyboard is by far one of the most expensive keyboards on the market. Determining if you want to spend this money on a keyboard comes down to a) if you have disposable income and can justify spending $700 CAD on a keyboard, and b) if you desire the best of the best without having to invest a ton of time building and customizing your keyboard deck.Happy gaming!

This is sturdy keyboard made to last abuse. From the top metal plate to the sound-dampening foam which delivers great click sound, this mechanical keyboard delivers all that you expect. The Asus NX Red switches are great, comfortable, offer good rebound, and sound good. Expect great feedback when typing and playing games. The volume, play/pause, and next/previous track keys are conveniently placed on the upper left corner and are super easy to reach. The Animate LEDs, located on the upper right corners, can provide some information like play, pause, volume up/down as well as advising you of incoming emails. The animation portion can be fun to watch but disrupting at times when you're trying to stay concentrated. The only negative points are the non-detachable USB ... MoreThis is sturdy keyboard made to last abuse. With its USB passthrough port, this keyboard also requires two empty USB ports to fully connect, which was a surprise.Overall, a great keyboard both for working and looking at.

Looks great, feels great. However, if the software does not allow you to install the drivers to use its full capabilities, Whats the point? Spent a good 2 hours with crate armouries trying to install the drives to use its full functions but ended up getting no where. Is they fix this issue then sure i would recommend it, but currently i would avoid it.
Absolutely love this keyboard. Keystrokes are very smooth. Product descriptions said factory lubricated switches but I found mine were dry so I lubed them myself. This reduced noise a lot. I like a quieter key strike. I went with Red switches. The aluminum faceplate is very sleek. Key caps are silky smooth. Lighting is bright and colors are vibrant. Very easy to customize the board in Armoury Crate with Aura Sync. Wires are strong with braided sleave and long enough. Built in USB port on top edge of board is very handy, when I remember it's there. ;P Wristpad is very soft and a nice add-on
A keyboard of an amazing build quality, typing feel and multiple personalisation options. I'm justifying the eyewatering price in the knowledge that I'll not need another keyboard for a very long time. Amortizing $700 over 10 years makes it much more worthwhile. Nice click, high end materials, superlatives abound. One downside Armoury crate requires upgrading very quickly to include layering and key allocation lest one lose the keyboard aficionado market.
Excellent build quality on this keyboard, it looks amazing with the OLED display.NX Snow switches sound and feel great. No need to customize anything here, it's a good experience right out of the box.If you are looking for a keyboard with hall effect keys, this one does not have them.Purchased during a sale, but price is still too expensive, not sure what Asus was thinking here with the MSRP.Overall, if you can look past the price, it is a solid keyboard!
Bought this Asus Rog Strix Scope II 96 as I just built a new PC. The Thock from the keys is better than my old keyboard with cherry red. when using late at night its quiet so wont disturb people. The software is in armoury crate so everything is in one place on my Asus build. not sure I should have bought the 96 wireless version (but got it £144 in sale) and the full 100% wired would of been better. Hence leaving it in wired mode with no dongle in PC. only problem with this is its constantly charging.(will this damage anything?) Maybe when other products become available with compatibility on the Wi-Fi sharing (only one mouse at time of writing) then I would use it with mouse and keyboard.Has a Wi-Fi extender to plug into charging cable (great idea) storage for the ... MoreBought this Asus Rog Strix Scope II 96 as I just built a new PC. The quality is phenomenal and the look is very RGB. That's what I was after and it delivers. I really like the animation in the corner. Surprisingly one of the handiest features is the volume wheel. One feature to be aware of is the Windows key lock button, if you are unaware and accidently hit it, your Windows key will not work. Since it is a mechanical keyboard, it does have some keystroke volume.
The customizability of this keyboard is really nice, and it's easy to set up with the armory crate. The volume dial is a great feature. The wrist rest is really high quality and being able to easily put it on and off with magnets is great. Some of the key presses are kind of wonky or seem delayed which you wouldn't expect. The space bar is the most common culprit of just not responding but I've had minor issues with some of the other keys that I have to press twice to make them do what I want while gaming. It is entirely possible that this is on me since I'm used to an ultra low profile laptop keyboard instead of these taller keys, so I could be pressing them weird. The space bar delay is definitely real though. It's more a minor annoyance than real problem since ... MoreThe customizability of this keyboard is really nice, and it's easy to set up with the armory crate. The volume dial is a great feature. Also the symbol icons below the number keys are really hard to see since they're small and gray on black. I wish they were lit up or a better contrasting color or a larger font.
