I went into Micro Center at open on a Saturday to pick up a mobo/processor combo for my new graphics card. I'd finally gotten lucky enough to score a 3060 online...which was not exactly what I wanted, but it's what I could get.I was stunned to see some of these in the case. I'm not sure how often they get these in stock, but I felt like I'd hit the jackpot. I wish I'd tried coming into the store sooner. Honestly after months of following online drops and looking at the ridiculous lines outside of stores for hours on end it's kind of ironic to see just how painless it was to find a card when a retailer actually cares about its customers. Thank you Micro Center for taking a hard line on one GPU per customer per month and keeping the stock in-store. If other retailers did this I think normal gamers would have more of a chance. As for the card, it's beautiful. I love the addressable RGB feature and the extra fans keep the card nice and cool. The highest I've seen the temp go is 63C so far. The build of the card feels super solid. This is even longer than my old GTX 970 which felt huge when I got it, but the 3070 has no sag when installed—it's super sturdy.I game at 1440p and while I haven't tried any games with raytracing (because I don't have any at the moment), I'm floored at how good & smooth everything looks so far. The monitor I have right now is only 60hz, but when I turned of FPS capping, I was easily getting 100+ fps in Borderlands 3.One thing to note with this card is that there's protective plastic film on everything. The fan centers, the metal accents, the sides. Some of it is on so tight you can't even quite see it. You'll probably want some needle-nose tweezers or a plastic spudger to get the edges of it up so you can peel it off!

I got lucky after popping into the local MC at opening for a few weeks, and landed this card. It performs as advertised - plays everything I've tried at top settings at 2k /144 and never breaks 70c in a Fractal Design Define 7 case with stock fans. The card looks beautiful in this white case and has a nice pastel-tinted RGB effect that syncs up with my TUF B550 pro mb out of the box. I haven't bothered to customize it yet because it looks great. My card is built a little sketchily. The two halves of the shell are further apart than they should be so it looks a bit wonky. But it performs perfectly and the cooling is fine, so I'm happy to have it. You wouldn't notice unless you looked closely and knew what you were looking for anyhow. It comes with a weird super ... Otherwise it's a great card that looks sweet and should serve you well for years to come.

Just be aware the card is massive compared to my GTX 1080 ti. Difficult to fit into the case of my computer and I have a massive cooler case. Once in place though there is notable performance increase even from this generations 2080 to the 3070. Once games support DLSS for 5120x1440 resolution FPS will climb even higher allowing for max settings at over 60 FPS

This card is great. It runs quiet and extremely cool, topping out at 61 degrees in my O11 Mini. Performance is great and the out of the box RGB rainbow effect looks very nice. However, there are some issues that impact the overall experience with the card. The first is that if you want to customize the RGB light strip, no matter what you try it can only display one color at a time. This makes no sense as the card has a rainbow pattern out of the box. I ended up just removing all customization and kept the default rainbow pattern that you can see in the picture. The second issue is that there is some sort of driver issue that is causing stuttering in games. If you manage to get a 30 series card, make sure to use DDU to completely clean your computer of graphics ... MoreThis card is great. As the title stands, I absolutely recommend any RTX 3070 for your target resolution 1440p. My reason to grab the ASUS GPU is because the bracket (hardly see the sag because of the extra screws). I want to give it 5 stars, but I gave it a 4 stars because of the price. When I purchased the card, it was too high, but I got it to upgrade my GTX 1070 TI (above 90% increase in performance). If I have to nit-pick (only one), I wish the card was white for my authentic build.
ASUS makes some of the most expensive GPUs across the board due to tariffs, but they try their best to make them worth the cost. This massive STRIX 3070 barely fit into my SSUPD Meshlicious ITX-sized case, but I was able to mount it after removing the Geforce RTX logo by undoing 2 screws on the backplate. Luckily, this side logo doesn't light up so the card actually looks cleaner afterwards. The performance is absolutely amazing for a 3070 as the large air cooler keeps it at a chilly 50-55C after a little bit of undervolting. I would recommend any 30 series GPU but don't be scared away from ASUS cards by the high prices if you can afford them. They're pretty worth it.
This card's ROG Strix style looks amazing, it's a great looking card and matches my Strix motherboard. Comes in a nice looking box too. Looks are all well and good but it's the performance that matters most. ASUS is using a chunky 2.9-slot design on the ROG Strix RTX 3070 graphics card, but it is using it to good effect here. It's a thick card, but it looks mean as Hell and has the performance numbers and noise levels to prove it. A lot of that room is used to good effect for cooling and it works, this card runs at very low temps and is very very quiet. It runs every game that I throw at it at ultra settings. Before deciding on this card I looked at all the reviews I could find on thirty eight 3070 cards from different manufacturers and this card came out top in nearly every test and with the build quality you would expect with Strix beating the competition hands down. And although this already comes factory overclocked out of the box it has plenty of headroom for further overclocking thanks to its superior component quality. The quality of those components is reflected in the cost though, which is the only downside for this card, as it averages out to around 100 more than some of it's competitors. Not sure of the MRRP card at the moment, certainly not after the high prices that we saw recently! Currently listed on the ASUS website @ 739.99 and the cheapest I could find in stock was 699.95 at Overclockers. At that price point you may want to consider if it is worth paying a little more for an RTX 3080! I was very lucky in that I was the only bidder in an auction which had a starting price of 499.99 for a Brand New Card and both I and the seller were very surprised that there were no other bidders. At that price this card was an absolute bargain as pre-owned ones were (and still are at the time of writing) going for a lot more than that, let alone a new one! If you are set on getting a RTX 3070 and you can find this card at the right price then I would highly recommend that you get it, I am certainly glad that I did. Oh! It also has RGB if that's your thing.
What i liked: 1)powerful for 2k content/games. 2)silent and 0db fan mode does exist. 3)easy overcklockable 4)temperatures are the best from rtx 3070 gpus 5)white edition is gorgeous! 6)includes lot of outputs for multimonitoring setup and can play all of them on 4k without any problem. I didnt like: 1)size and common mega-sized gpu problem-sagging. Very heavy toy! 2)Asus software- lagging and sometimes consumes cpu usage up to 80% for a second. 3) coil whine if you have a very bad power supply! Only 80+ gold -minimum standarts if efficiency recommended
I had an MSI Ventus 3X 3080 which I traded for this card and some cash. While the 3080 obviously has more power, it was hot and loud.I do a mix of gaming and mining. Where the Ventus was 100 Degrees C on the Vram, and the fans sounded like the card was dying from the inside out, this Strix 3070 runs at a breezy 55 Degrees C. This results in my office being much cooler, and the PC is running nearly silent.Gaming is solid, about 20-30% lower frames than the 3080 at 1440p. When cards are more available I'll probably upgrade to a 3080 Strix. But I'm not stressing it. This card is a powerhouse at 1440p, even compared to my old 1080 TI.Strix is simply the best cooling solution, the card is stunning. It's a big card with a big cooler, and that keeps temps at a comfortable 60° in a well ventilated case. Runs just about anything @ 1440p well over 100+ FPS, even with ray tracing in the case of Cyberpunk 2077. Runs at about 50 MH/s mining ethereum if you plan to do some part-time mining.Only problems are the following:1) coil whine. It's not the worst ever but definitely unexpected and unpleasant.2) this will not fit in a compact case. It's gigantic for a 70 series card. Not a huge problem for me with my case, but something to consider.3) it costs more than a 3080 Founders Edition. If it's between the two, get the 3080. If it's between this and buying over $1000 secondhand, just buy it here. Also keep in mind it wants 2 separate PCIe power cables. If you use a ... If you use a PSU with two 8 pin connectors on the same cable, it'll give you a power warning LED. It seems to work despite the warning but I didn't benchmark performance both ways before upgrading my PSU. 750+ watt recommended.
