For such a low power card to produce coil whine that is comparable to a 4090 is kind of disappointing. Also a little hotter than a 4090 Strix.Aside from that it is a good card to match a ROG STRIX build otherwise get the TUF or other cheaper model of 4070 Ti.Photo: not sure why they tear up the boxes like that, maybe to scan the code or something? Anyway they should not be doing that since I like to keep the boxes fully intact.I have also returned this due to coil whine since I have my Build inside the family room and the noise is not suitable to where my pc is located.

I have owned lots of graphics cards, most recently before this I owned an AMD RX 7900xt that was sold to buy this card. I used to not care about ray tracing in games but once you use it and really appreciate it there is no turning back. The frames to picture quality trade off is totally worth it in my opinion. On Cyberpunk 2077 with Ultra settings and ray tracing with frame generation I'm getting 130fps at 1440p resolution as that's what resolution I game at. On Watch Dogs Legion with high settings and high ray tracing I'm pulling 70 to 95fps. This card has so many features that make it totally worth it..... It was expensive yes, but the quality is absolutely there on this (and its a gorgeous card to boot), you definitely get what you pay for on this in a badass way! No regrets!

I bought this card to replace my GTX 1080's in SLI. This card outperforms them while drawing much less power. This card is the pinnacle of the AD104 being the full chip with a healthy OC boost. It runs cool and quiet in 1440p but you can start hearing the fans kick up in 4K. The 1440p performance is excellent with it holding 120-140fps (limited to 140fps due to the monitor) in WoW, with all the bells and whistles turned on, except for in main cities where it drops to 60-75fps due to the limitations of WoW. In 4K, it performs pretty well. It does 60-85fps in most areas with all the bells and whistles turned on. It averages 60fps, peaks at 115fps (limit set in game to hold 10bit colours on the monitor) and the lowest I have seen is temporary drops to 45fps while ... MoreI bought this card to replace my GTX 1080's in SLI. The main cities it holds 55-60fps. Buffer use never exceeds 9-10GB out of the 12GB. The highest temps I have seen on this card is 70C thanks to the massive cooler with 3 fans. The card is beautiful and extremely high quality. It is a gunmetal grey block with rounded corners than matches all of the current generation Asus RoG components. The lighting is pretty good, but not as robust as some other brands. I am extremely happy with this card. I am very surprised with it's 4K performance as well. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a strong 1440p card with 4K capabilities and/or a cool running card that doesn't run up your electric bill. My only knock on this card is the 12GB buffer. I feel 16GB would give it a healthy leeway in 4K games.

Upgraded from a 2070 and paired with a 3900x on an x570 ROG moboIt initialized itself after a few boots, was expected as it's all mostly ROG internals.Upgraded bios and was able to enable ReBAR.0 issues.. Also running a 650W ROG PSU which is extremely cutting it short. The provided adapter does help with clean cabling.I'll update this post if it ever can't hang... The PSU. I know that's a hard pain point in upgrading.
First off I need to say that I am only giving this three stars due to going through different 40 series cards now all with coil whine, this one isn't as audible as the previous AIBs I have tried before, but at the price point I am paying for this card you would think that ASUS and other AIB manufacturers can find a way to mitigate coil whine. My experience is obviously anecdotal and just because I've had bad luck with coil whine on this card does not necessarily mean you will with yours--I do know that it exists on all modern gpus and it is just luck of the draw, at this point my only option would be to return the gpu or RMA it and after going through several ones I have just decided to keep the card (as I need to be able to use my PC for photography work and ... MoreFirst off I need to say that I am only giving this three stars due to going through different 40 series cards now all with coil whine, this one isn't as audible as the previous AIBs I have tried before, but at the price point I am paying for this card you would think that ASUS and other AIB manufacturers can find a way to mitigate coil whine. My experience is obviously anecdotal and just because I've had bad luck with coil whine on this card does not necessarily mean you will with yours--I do know that it exists on all modern gpus and it is just luck of the draw, at this point my only option would be to return the gpu or RMA it and after going through several ones I have just decided to keep the card (as I need to be able to use my PC for photography work and school--so I cannot have any downtime) and undervolt it to help mitigate the noise (again not that loud just annoyed with the price I am paying for this card ASUS should've made sure it wouldn't persist) hoping it goes away eventually or dies down.Pros:-1440p monster blows my previous 3080 out of the water.-Runs VERY cool, one of the biggest reasons I wanted to upgrade to a 4070ti is due to the over built coolers on these things, this will definitely help especially in the summer-As far as I've seen the less power draw than my 3080 as well so for those who worry about that sort of thing it might help your electric bill in the long run.Cons:-This thing is a chonky boy, luckily my 5000d airflow is a big case, but I would definitely do your research to see if it fits before purchasing.-Coil whine-12GB of VRAM a bit of a let down that it's 12GB I would hope for maybe a Ti model that Nividia could've bumped it up to maybe 14GB, but thems is the breaks-VERY expensive-Nividia Dongle (If you have a Corsair PSU that takes type 4 cables I would definitely recommend purchasing their 12vphwr cable or a cable mod cable if you want aesthetics)
I recently built my computer after going about 5 years without and decided to take the leap to the controversial 4070ti. I have had zero issues running everything at max settings in 1440p at at least 60 fps or higher. There is one exception, and that's Cyberpunk 2077 with Ultra RT and DLSS completely off. Once DLSS is on however, it easily is back above 60. Highly recommend for people looking for a good 1440p card who are not upgrading from the 30 series. I dropped one star because I believe that the value for those who are upgrading may be a miss, but those building from scratch can't really go wrong.
Far bigger than you think I have long arms and this thing reaches from my elbow almost to the top of my palm it's insanely big I only had just over a centimetre left in my midi-atx case (msi 011c ryzen case) and only just managed to reach the pci-e slothad to run the usb 3.0 under it cause I couldn't get it over the top or around it to the motherboard socket!had the cable shroud been a milimetre or 2 higher it wouldn't of gone in, if the psu shroud is too low or gpu too high the rog stand to stop it from bending won't reach... so I got a red power ranger figurine from my childhood and had that hold it up atlas style! The biggest issue is the power cable it's the same kind used in the 4090 the triple cable, you must make sure it's secure in the socket without ... MoreFar bigger than you think I have long arms and this thing reaches from my elbow almost to the top of my palm it's insanely big I only had just over a centimetre left in my midi-atx case (msi 011c ryzen case) and only just managed to reach the pci-e slothad to run the usb 3.0 under it cause I couldn't get it over the top or around it to the motherboard socket!had the cable shroud been a milimetre or 2 higher it wouldn't of gone in, if the psu shroud is too low or gpu too high the rog stand to stop it from bending won't reach... so I got a red power ranger figurine from my childhood and had that hold it up atlas style! The biggest issue is the power cable it's the same kind used in the 4090 the triple cable, you must make sure it's secure in the socket without wiggle so the pins are fully contacting the gpu socket and you can't bend the cables any more than a wide curve, a 45 degree bend is probably the limit any more than that and your risking damaging them or dislodging the cable from it's socket too!you've heard the stories I reccomend finding a 90 degree adapter if you case isn't large enough mine both is and isn't, it's true I got it in and everything is running but there is simply no room to put the glass on or I risk bending the cable 90 degrees!I hope the helios case for my new build will manage I heard it's wider so there wont be as much cable bend or i'll at least fit a 90 degree mod adapter!Despite all that it performs well it keeps the temps low I was actually getting 45fps on star citizen max settings 4K which is incredibly hard to achieve,Keep in mind until next year the GPU is bottlnecked by my other components by 13% so I managed this with a cpu that's holding it back!, no doubt in my mind when I get the Ry7 7700x and x670 mb and other components but it's performed really well at 4K on pretty much every title some other less demanding older titles like GuildWars2 I was able to do 8K via DSR and still get 70fps (though this is due to the game being cpu bound)! It's a monster in both terms of performance, power and size.I'd like to note the only game I had an issue with was Watch Dogs 2 which sadly the developers no longer update, you may experience shaded areas of buildings and the sky itself with extreme flickering, it's a known bug across the RTX cards sadly it likely wont be fixed... guess it's time to buy legion instead and really test the gpu!I'd recommend getting a case first as this wont fit in an mid-atx/eatx or lower it has to be a large atx/eatx like the rog strix helios or bigger!
Horrible performance for the price. Very quiet but the unnecessary 16 pin cable for this model worries me given its reputation as well. But the amount of power it uses it probably would be fine if plugged in properly.Ultimately it is barely a 3090 with much less VRAM. DLSS 3 is a cool idea but too early to give a good review given how few games use it. Horrible price point. I recommend getting a second hand 3090.
Very satisfied with the build quality of the card. The packaging and presentation is also very nice.Runs as cool as 25°C while doing regular browsing/ office tasks and stays even at load at lower temperatures because of the massive heatsink and axial fans.Which leads me to the only con I could see, the card itself is pretty massive and definitely could cause problems regarding physical dimensions.Overall amazing quality!
Absolutely love this card! Asus RoG is my go to brand and has been for years. Never any issues with their products. The temps and performance of this GPU are fabulous. Multitasking with an ultrawide and a 144hz separate monitor with no issues. I've only seen the fans actually have to work once and just barely. Temps are very low, graphics are sharp, and will handle anything you plan to play or do on your PC. The one thing to know is that it is a very, very long GPU so make sure to measure your case and allotted GPU space because the card is huge! I had to buy a brand new case because of it. Also comes with a very basic GPU stand but there are other cooler and more stable ones out there if you want to go that route. This is by far the best Asus ROG card I've ever ... MoreAbsolutely love this card! Asus RoG is my go to brand and has been for years. Never any issues with their products.
