Depending on what model of 4080 you are looking at, might as well just purchase a 4090 if you can make it happen. If you are able to, purchase the non OC model and save a couple hundred bucks. The OC model is no where close to worth it over the non OC model. I'm glad I lucked out and found this model. Runs everything at max settings at high frame rates. Also runs very cool for a top end graphics card.

Micro Center team in Cambridge, Ma. They are very respectful, educated and helpful always. Now the 4090 tuf by asus is amazing. I run it stock not OC both 1440p and 4K res with temps not exceeding 60 degrees while gaming. Coil Whine barely is noticeable. Pairs well with my i7 12700k CPU and 32gb of ram. This card is expensive but if you can hold of on buying a 3090 and save up a few hundred more to grab this card it’s the better choice for sure.

Was totally embarrassed by the staff over my recent returns, when as you can see I spent a fortune on this card. I have always purchased things from microcenter based on their excellent returns if items don’t work for your setup ect. I’ll be spending my money elsewhere now.
Value is fully subjective, and the trend of halo 'enthusiast' card prices continuing to rise is concerning - but looking strictly at the tech this card is unbelievable. Compared to the 3090 and 3090ti, the raw performance combined with running much cooler and even quieter is staggering. Needs a massive PSU and case, I have mine in a Fractal Torrent EATX, also have a Lian Li Lancool II mesh that would fit it - but the majority of midtowers including popular ones like the 011d and mini will be a tough fit.The Asus card is fantastic, and looks great. With EVGA out Asus is my top pick, and this one is built very well with a premium all-metal build.Compared to this the 3090 around 7-800 is a hard sell. With EVGA out Asus is my top pick, and this one is built very well with a premium all-metal build.Compared to this the 3090 around 7-800 is a hard sell. The poor design with hot ram on the back, noise, and lack of relative value vs 3080s (esp 3080ti) at qhd/UW, and inability to hit 4k 120+ makes an awkward fit. The 3090ti to me is more interesting now; at around 800 there's a lot of value at high refresh ultrawide and even 4k with some settings down, and it runs much cooler than the 3090.This card is unmatched for now, and price/value vs what should be a competitive step down with 4080s, new AMD cards, more affordable 3080 and 3090tis, and even the 6900/6950xt are the only knock against it. If money is no issue, it's an absurd generational increase and runs like a dream.
