After doing a couple weeks of googling and research I found this beautiful gem! This monitor is perfect for 2K gaming! The best bang of your buck if you will. It’s got built in programming to change settings on the fly, adjust the performance of the monitor and can even OC it (yes you can OC a monitor). The screen is rated at 144Mhz but the build in programming can have you push 177Mhz, while still providing a clean crisp picture and runs smoothly. Also the RGB thing is kind of cool, but it’s on the back of the monitor and isnt bright enough to provide any back light. However performance wise it’s great! Highly recommend this monitor to anyone buying a new starter PC or even as a second display. It’s budget friendly and worth it

So yes it's a bit pricey but it's definitely worth it with the amount of features you get. The stand is very stylish, the panel displays colors beautifully and the viewing angle is beyond awesome, the whole style of all the details goes well with all of my other parts, including the RGB on the back (yes you can't see it but it makes for good backlighting on the wall). Refresh speed is fast so as far as my system goes I haven't had any screen tear, ghosting is minimal unless your doing things to force it, and the HDR really shows. All in all a good purchase, considering saving for a second one.

I've been extremely happy with this monitor upgrade. Finally something to do my rig justice. I'm on a AMD-heavy setup with a 5900x and 6800xt. I'm only a moderate gamer, but I really wanted something with vibrant, deep colors and this delivered. Haven't noticed any ghosting. Considering what I spent on the rest of my build, I wanted a monitor that wouldn't break the bank but would still be quality. This hit the sweet spot for me.

Coming from a dual 2560x1440 curved Va panel setup and going down to a 27” 2560x1440 ips panel is aight and day difference in the best way possible. I mostly use the monitor for gaming and fps games at that. The refresh rate overclocked to 165 and 1ms response time really does make a difference in gameplay and performance in game. I recommend anyone looking for a iOS panel to give this monitor a try you will not regret it.
When you think of ROG products, you know them for quality but also for being very expensive. This monitor breaks one of those traits. The quality is still definitely there, the construction and weight is impressive and feels very sturdy and grounded. However, it gets better with pricing. For 499, you get hdr and every other amenity typically seen on monitors that cost 700+ dollars. Add the back being rgb and what else do you need? Get this monitor for 2k gaming.
I was between this and a LG Nano IPS, but after seeing the rtings review for this monitor it seemed better. I'm glad I went with this. Good colors out of the box, fast response times with no noticeable overshoot. Instantly overclocked to the advertised 170hz refresh rate. There were no dead pixels, and only a tiny bit of IPS glow when I went looking for it but I can't see it in any real content. OSD is straightforward and easy to navigate with the directional toggle.
I'll start by just saying this is certainly not a budget monitor but I think it's great for the price. Being factory calibrated and having the certification for it is great. I love the contrast and depth of colors. It has a USB pass through which I didn't think I'd use but make a lot of use of now that I have it. Great for phone charging or a SD reader or similar that I don't often use but don't mind having a cable hanging from and not have to fuss with plugging in. The rgb on the back is a nice touch too. I also have not noticed any bad ips glow or anything. I love the feature set and overall performance of it. I have not had any issues with image ghosting or anything at all when setting up overdrive and adjusting the level properly. Even blacks look great on it. ... MoreI'll start by just saying this is certainly not a budget monitor but I think it's great for the price. Only issue I could say is that I would wish it had better anti glare/reflection but that's really it. It doesn't shake or wobble on my desk at all without the entire desk shaking either.
It was finally time to make the upgrade to a monitor more appropriate for gaming. The picture is crisp and clear, with tons of options tweak your performance. I'm really impressed with the monitor stand as well. It was super easy to get it in just the right position, and can quickly align vertically or horizontally without any hassle. Its also got cool glowy lights so people will take you seriously as a human being. My only small issue is the built in speakers (I know, who uses them....but still) are easily the worst quality I've seen (heard) on a monitor. I have no interest or need for monitor speakers so that doesn't effect my final rating. YMMV
Cons: the only con here is that you may need a big table if you prefer to have the screen in the middle of the table because the way they made the stand is stupidly shaped as a long V so that means the stand will be taking up unnecessary space in fromt of you. It seems like it was made to be position on the corner of a table which is not ideal for everyone. Pros: the screen looks really nice with good detailed pictures, the texts look crisp, and of course the 144hz (i dont overclock) feels very smooth with no tearing when playing fps games just make sure to set up gsync
The monitor is a HUGE upgrade for those with a cheap 1080p monitor. Every game will become so much more immersive and all media content will look so much better. However, G-Sync kept causing black screens for me and disabling G-Sync completely was the only fix. My system is the RTX 3070 version of the 2021 Asus Rog Zephyrus G15 and the monitor is connected via a USB-C to Displayport cable. I used the same system/cable with my old monitor that has G-Sync and there were no problems when gaming with G-Sync enabled. UPDATE (12/5/21): I returned my original monitor for a replacement because there were 2 stuck pixels on the screen and my replacement monitor right out of the box has a stuck pixel on first boot up. AVOID THIS BRAND AT ALL COSTS. Total Egg(s) changed from 3 ... MoreThe monitor is a HUGE upgrade for those with a cheap 1080p monitor.
