An economical, portable 12-volt electric trailer winch that is ideal for the retrieval of boats up to 7.0 meters. The unit is supplied with a hand held remote for power-in and power- out operations and also features an adjustable free-spooling clutch for launching and retrieving purposes. The Winch comes with a quick release bracket for easy attachment and removal to either the winch post or tow ball, along with an emergency crank handle and galvanised cable and snap hook. I have just fitted my new 3000 lb winch and have tried it for the first time the other day. I do find that the winch is rather slow in winding in and I have had to attach a bracket just in front of the winch so I can use the pulley system as my boat is a fairly heavy 4.2 mtre fibre glass cruise craft rogue. The previous 2000 lb model without the pulley did not last all that long ,so hopefully it will work .

Seems well engineered and of good quality. Its specifically designed for a boat trailer, but you can't have the boat trailer hooked up to the tow vehicle because of where the winch is designed to be fitted.

Sadly this product did not live up to my expectations.Although it is very slow, if it did what its supposed to do then that is fine.I have a fiberglass half cabin 4.8 mtr boat on ROLLERS. It weighs about 700 kg max. This product is supposed to be able to pull 2000 KG on rollers or 1350 without rollers. It would bring the boat 3/4 in and then that's it !!! and the manual handle is not much of a help either.Apologies for the negative review. I love BCF and I know its not their issue and always had no issues with their products. I am just disappointed to say the least as I was looking forward to using it. Looks like I will have to go back to the ordinary manual winch which worked better!! that's saying something.BTW BCF Service is OUTSTANDING!!

The winch itself is good and works well and easy to install. Unfortunately I purchased my winch from BCF in Rockingham just under 40km from my home. On return home to install, I found the item was a returned damaged item sold as new. I then had to drive to Cockburn store, just over 60km to return and replace.
Not the fault of BCF however the power cable is too short, I spoke to the company that sells the winch. Modify the cable you void warranty. The holes on the winch did not line up with the post, modify the holes you lose warranty. I have voided the warranty to make the winch fit and run. and in doing so i am happy with the product, Takes about the same time as if i use the hand winch but with out the stress on the boy.
Found this perfect for my 5.2m aluminium boat.Fitted existing holes as well.Very good value.
Makes it easy putting my boat on in the wind and current by myself.yes its a bit slower than a manual winch but makes it hassel free and no effort.Don't leave the manual handle on while driving as the nut can vibrate off and you will losse your handle like I did, but I bought a replacement off ebay for $15.I have a 4.3m bluefine and pulls it up with ease.
I’ve used this winch half a dozen times it’s unacceptable but couldn’t pull that top of a bowl of custardAnd I’ve only got a 14 foot Quintrex with a 20 horse motor

Amazing for the price. Everything works as expected. Delivery was super quick. I'm sounding like a fake review! I like the plug in power lead and remote. Other units I've used in the past required you to screw on the power leads.
