I have a huge vinyl collection. This turntable is amazing. Very difficult to find plug-in play systems. Beautifully constructed. Heavy weight aluminum platter. Belt drive. The dual magnet magnetic cartridge performance is excellent. This is a wonderful turntable especially for the price.Thank you Best Buy…!

OMG where does one start? Packaged like a brick, it arrived in pristine condition. Un-boxing and set up was a breeze, I had it connected to my Denon Receiver in under 5 minutes, super simple and easy. My first record, Beethoven's "The Creatures of Prometheus," pressed in 1978, and purchased there about, never sounded so beautiful.Set the record on the turntable, close the lid and press "Start." It starts, the arm lifts up and swings into position, then ever so gently sets music into motion. at the end, the arm lifts up, swings over and into the rest position and turns off. There is an insert included for 45's and a speed selection for 33 or 45. Allegro Vivace never sounded so sweet and pure, a glass of red wine and I am back when I first heard this as a boy. Yes, ... MoreOMG where does one start? Previously I bought Victrola and all of those went out on me after about a year or two. I heard audio technical was a good brand and I liked how slim and modern it looked. Got it home and bought two speakers neither of them worked after being connected properly. Bought two more. Nothing. Then the needle skips around on the records to the end. I tried to see if I could exchange it for some credit but I couldn’t. Now it just sits in my room untouched and I can’t listen to any of my record collection. I am going to try Crosley next.

I was a little hesitant to buy this turntable at first because of the negative reviews about it skipping and some not even getting it to play but I have had zero issues with the setup, I hooked it up to a couple insignia bookshelf speakers I purchased at Best Buy at the same time and it sounds fantastic. If it gets shaken even a little it will skip, like when I’ve walked too hard and too close to the table its sitting on it skips a few seconds but I think that’s more my fault because I have it on an end table that’s not really well balanced. If I’m not near the turntable its fine so I know its me and will be putting it on a more stable platform in the next few days so I’m sure I’ll have absolutely no problem then. If I’m not near the turntable its fine so I know its me and will be putting it on a more stable platform in the next few days so I’m sure I’ll have absolutely no problem then. I should also mention that I had been using a Crosley Deluxe suitcase record player prior to buying this and if you’re still using one of those or are debating between whether to buy one of those for $40 or spend the extra coin on this one, don’t even think about it and buy this one. I have run speakers that cost 4 times the amount of the Crosley on it and it doesn’t matter, the difference between this one and the Crosley is night and day. This sounds amazing, still has that full sound with just a slight, barely audible crackle of vinyl, whereas the Crosley is kind of a mess. Even on great speakers it just doesn’t sound right, where this one sounds gorgeous on a pair of $70 speakers. If you’re looking to get into vinyl, committed the sin of buying a suitcase record player, or you just want a turntable without killing your budget, this is the one to get. As a side note, some very minor setup is required, but nothing crazy. Basically just attaching to the belt to the motor, but it takes 3 seconds. You won’t regret it.
Product is packaged well, comes with easy to follow instructions and I was able to Install fairly easily including attachment to speakers and I can happily report all is working perfectly. After years of storing albums (teenage years thru the 80s), I once again could listen to some of my favorites from early recordings by the Beatles thru Madonna and others which have not been updated or enhanced. Yes, there are some down sides, most music plays 15 -20 minutes, just enough time for a break and when finished I get up turn off speakers and go about my day. I love my other media devices but I still have to make that conscious decision to click the stop which really means music can play all day regardless if anyone is listening. I love my other media devices but I still have to make that conscious decision to click the stop which really means music can play all day regardless if anyone is listening. There is room for all types of media in my life and I enjoy having choices. Adding the turntable and speakers was a good investment even at my age, Thanks much to the industry for providing the tools so I can reminisce whIle at the same moment, I can pick up my phone and take the music with me everywhere anytime.
After years of being on the fence about getting a turntable I took the plunge. A good pair of powered speakers and this turntable has gotten me listening. Impressed with the ease of use. VERY simple. This is a highly recommended turntable..... almost anywhere you seek guidance. I see why. Find it for less than $150 and it is a no brainer. Not much you can upgrade. Yet that is why it is a great choice to START with.
This machine is very good for starting a young person on vinyl. By no means high end, but automatic and will not damage the medium. To enhance the experience, we added a very inexpensive tube phono stage. I would recommend this to anyone who would like to have their children experience the joy of vinyl without having them touch your stuff! The quality is more than appropriate to the price. When you are done with it, maybe make it into a clock.
The LP 60x is a revamp of the previous LP60 bit audio technica. The parts included in this device are lightweight but appropriately selected for a record player. The belt-driven system combined with the aluminum platter help with reducing vibrations and the included felt platter cover is a great vibration reducing inclusion. The automatic system is effective and works 100% of the time that I've used it. It is extremely easy to use and sounds very good regardless of its lightweight stature. The tone arm is a spring weighted system and the cartridges and audio technical cartridge. This device can play 45s and 33 and 1/2 speed records.Thoughts:when it comes to hi-fi equipment most people do not think that a $100 turntable would be considered audiophile grade by any ... This device can play 45s and 33 and 1/2 speed records.Thoughts:when it comes to hi-fi equipment most people do not think that a $100 turntable would be considered audiophile grade by any stretch of the imagination. And in most scenarios they would be 100% correct. most turntables around this price point have a built-in phonographic pre-amplifier so they can be used with any stereo system. This turntable actually has the ability for you to bypass the internal phono preamp and use your existing receivers preamp. That means the only thing that affects the quality of note would be the cartridge which in this is a very high quality moving magnet cartridge. Granted it's not a project or a marantz but because you are not using the internal pre-amplifier if connected to a very high quality system as in my case a marantz SR-8012 you can get extremely high quality audio that is full of life out of this turntable. I paired this with the Garth Brooks legacy collection and when I turned it on and closed my eyes the wall fell away and I was in a concert. This is a phenomenal investment that I highly recommend anyone make whether you are new to the audio world or an experienced audio file.
I'll start with the positive. Really easy to use and hook up to almost anything. I bought it on a whim a couple years ago and it helped me get into vinyl really for the first time. It has played everything I put on it without skipping. Now for negatives. For one thing, it looks and feels cheap. I know it IS cheap, but it looks and feels REALLY cheap. It weighs like a pound. The timing is all jacked up and there's no easy way to adjust it (or to adjust anything). Mine plays quite fast, up about a half step in pitch, and playing a 5 minute song in like 4:45.The stylus is a cheap piece of junk, and worst of all there is no way to replace it with a better one or upgrade the cartridge in any way. It's a serviceable entry-level turntable, but it's also a dead-end. Excellent for what it is. Over the past 40 years, manufacturers have been figuring out how much material you can strip away from turntables and how cheaply you can make them, while having them still function and make music. This is the culmination of that. Very light, the controls sound clunky but it is convenient (and I hear reliable as well). Sounds great though, and great for a kid. I think $140 is better spent on a vintage turntable, when they were built with quality, but this automatic model solves a problem when you need to give one to a beginner.
