Elliptical Stylus The Audio-Technica Cartridge features an elliptically shaped tip of the stylus cone with an aluminum pipe cantilever. This intuitive design allows for more precision than a conical tip, improving frequency response, phase response, and lowering distortion. The bonded diamond shank construction increases the mass of the overall tip and is classically compatible with entry level systems and older record players. Dual Magnet Design The Vertical Dual Magnet on the AT85EP Phonograph Cartridge uses the 90掳 V-Shape of the cutter head. Two transducer coils are mounted in each wall of the 90掳 record groove. This style achieves more accurate tracking, excellent channel separation, high definition stereo image and extreme clarity across the audio spectrum.
