I really like these dried bell peppers. I use them in all cooked applications now rather than fresh or frozen. The flavor is good and full. They do not spoil. And, they save me having to chop them myself - either by the recipe or en masse when preparing a batch for the freezer. For convenience and economy, these are the way to go. About the economy note - the price is not a low as fresh per pound, but there is no waste because of spoilage or trimmings. I have estimated that allowing for both of these the costs are slightly in favor of the dried version.

Totally love these! I found myself without a fresh bell pepper for my chili and opened these. They really fit the bill. I love them and will make them a part of my food storage forever!

The Augason Farms Red and Green bell peppers is a great product. There is an amply supply in each can. During last winter, after our peppers didn't produce so well and we were short on supply, I opened a can we'd bought for emergency food storage. There was enough peppers in the one large can to get us through the entire winter into spring, and we use peppers very frequently for chili, Mexican foods, and casseroles. Love this product and yes, we've bought several more cans. Will no doubt buy again in the future. The price is good, product good, and the food we make with them tastes great and has the antioxidants and vitamins we need to stay health.
Liked. I opened and put in two 32 oz jars so stores easy and I have peppers on hand. I did the same thing with dehydrated onions, so they are ready to use but stores well. Both taste great. Also I kept the empty number 10 can to use for storing for the 64oz great value powdered milk I’d bought, and easy to use it.
I bought these peppers for purposes of saving money, as fresh are going way up in price. These add incredible flavors to so many recipes, including: pizza, spaghetti sauce, tacos, Mexican rice, quesadillas, soups, etc. I love that I control the amount I use, so there's no waste.Heads up: the pieces are very small, which I like. These are of course nothing like fresh, of course. I would compare it to a fresh tomato vs a sundried tomato for perspective and to help you plan for how to use them. They are incredibly flavorful and really jazz your food flavors. These are going to be a staple purchase in our home.

I do not believe many of these positive reviews at all. I so like very much Augason Farms and buy many of their other products (LOVE their potato soup) But this red/green bell peppers is awful. It's like it's created from some other department with an idiot running it. The peppers are chopped up so tiny that after soaking them, it turns to mush (hence the idiot who thinks chopping something so tiny). Then completely disappears when cooking. PLUS the can comes about 1/4 full! Sure I understand about settling and such but these are freeze dried which should have minimal "settling" and if this can was actually filled, there is absolutely NO way it would settle that much so only 1/4 of the can is filled. ooh i found something nice. I got my 10 can and opened it up and it was half full. So 1 pound 4oz is about half the can. The bits were very nicely minced and small.the taste was super and snackable. SOmeone said it wasn't snackable but they totally are.green and red was a propper 1/2 and 1/2 maybe a bit more on the green side but hard to tell.slightly sweet tasting right out of the can.for 12.58 - a SUPER deal - no one else is even close for this quality - which is VERY good quality!can't say enough things - these people do it right! thanks for a great product!I'm trying the eggs, milk and carrots next!
Just purchased these items for emergency long term food storage, packed away. Have never tried it. Just knowing I have several of them plus other Augason items help give me peace of mind. Only gave three stars because I havn't tasted them
