Even though this pair is designed for critical listening and audio work, but I personally would not mind of using it for casual listening and competitive online gaming. I just love it so much!Speaking of the sound stage, to my ears, it is surprisingly spacious for a pair of closed-back headphones. Since it is a closed-back pair, it does a pretty good job in cancelling outside noise as passive noise cancellation, but definitely not as good as those active noise-cancelling headphones from Sony, Bose, Jabra, etc. If you wear this on an airplane, you still can hear everything, from the engine noise to talkers and anything in between, but it will sound more muffled. I am personally and perfectly okay with this, as long as the sound quality is top notch!This pair sports an impedance of 25 Ohms and a sensitivity of 110 dB, which means it literally works very well with any audio sources/devices that you can think of, including those wireless console gamepads (Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo). I personally would even go as far as saying you will not need a headphone amplifier with this pair.The package pretty much has everything you will need to make the most out of this pair. One 3-meter cable (with a threaded quarter inch adapter), one 1.2-meter cable for mobile/laptop/gaming scenarios, and a soft pouch (a hardcase would have been nicer, but this will do). The package even has a quality-control certificate, which has the QC specialist's handwriting and signature in blue ink, not printing. That is awesome!If you have the cash and are very interested in an excellent pair of headphones for versatile usages, please hear me out, give this pair a chance!

An excellently finished product with superb sound quality. For the price, it’s certainly great value for money!

THESE ARE TRUE STUDIO REFERENCE HEADPHONES. NOT FOR GENERAL LISTENING. IF YOU WANT GOOD SOUND OUT OF THESE, YOU'D BETTER HAVE A HIGH QUALITY HEADPHONE AMP AND LOTS OF EQ BECAUSE THEY ARE FLAT. THE HIGHS ARE EXCELLENT, BUT THAT'S IT. THE BASS AND OVERALL OUTPUT IS WEAK. EXPECTED MORE FROM A HEADPHONE THAT COSTS ALMOST $500. THE AKG K371 IS $300 CHEAPER AND OUTPERFORMS THIS HEADPHONE, WOW!
