I absolutely love this Aveeda Shampoo... my hair is not as curly but is more wavy and it worked wonderfully on my hair. I have fine and frizzy hair, but after using this shampoo my hair didn't feel flat and had a nice bounce and shine to it. Frizz was also in control. It made my hair so soft and manageable. I didn't have the conditioner to go with it so used only the shampoo and yet hair was amazingly soft. The shampoo smells amazing , it has a soft citrusy smell thay last a long time. I love how natural the shampoo is , so don't have to worry about it stripping moisture out of the hair. I have a medium length hair and had to use only a little as the shampoo lathers perfectly. I could definitely extend my hair wash day . Absolutely my new favorite go to shampoo.

I was gifted by Aveda for reviewing purposes. I have 3 a/b type dry hair that I'm currently trying to grow out, I have bleach damage(I cut almost 4 inches off) and with luck will hopefully have my "dream" hair by summer(fingers crossed LOL.) Aveda has always been a "fantasy" brand to me and have been able to try a few items in my subscription boxes but never had the opportunity to try a full size to see some results. Upon inspecting I was instantly greeted with a pleasantly clean but subtle citrus-y mint and orange. I have extremely frizzy hair that with any hint of humidity...my hair will get HUGE. I love the Be Curly Advanced Shampoo because it cleans my hair well. It easily detangles my hair and leaves my curls soft and smooth feeling which is important for me because you are not left using more of your conditioner to get the tangles out. In the summertime I find my hair needs to be shampooed in our for my scalp to feel its cleanest so Be Curly Advance successfully cleans my hair leaving it light, detangled, and smooth. So all in all, I recommend this shampoo. It's great for my medium fine curly wavy hair. The regular be curly shampoo does not detangle my hair at all but cleans well so you get the best of both worlds with Be Curly Advanced Shampoo. I see why it was on backorder initially now. Going to need another bottle of this soon. Thanks Aveda!!!

This shampoo is one of the best shampoos for curly hair that I've tried in a long time. Aveda gifted me the Be Curly Advanced Shampoo to test and review. I like changing up the style of my hair all the time. I go from straight, back to my curly hair texture all the time. I love how this shampoo is able to define my curls, creates bouncing curls and tames down my frizz. It's absolutely amazing. it leaves my hair super soft, smooth and with lots of shine. This shampoo smells great! It entices my scenes every time I use it. It also leaves my hair feeling hydrated and refreshed and cleansed. Im definitely purchasing this product as soon as I run out. I love it so much that I'm always raving and recommending it to all my friends.

But this is shampoo. What is important about a shampoo for curly hair? That it cleans curly hair without stripping. If you have wavy/curly hair you know what it feels like to wash your hair and have it feel like hay after rinsing out the shampoo. Or you use gentler shampoos that leave your hair still feeling dirty/like they did nothing. Aveda yet again impresses me with a shampoo. Every variation I've ever tried just has such a great luxurious smell and clean after feeling. This shampoo also doesn't weigh my curls down. My usual complaints are products that even after washing my hair is left greasy or heavy and this has none of that. My hair looks, feels, and smells so great - all the senses 10/10 review. I wish other brands would get with it. Who doesn't want their hair to feel clean after washing it or smell really good?! It gives it a high end, salon-like feel. I love that it's also safe for color treated hair which I have and am always looking for products that will preserve that. The fact that it's sulfate-free is great and it still lathers really nicely which sometimes sulfate free products do not. A huge bonus! As soon as I rinsed the shampoo out, I felt a noticeable difference in how soft my hair felt. I even said "wow!" in the shower. I got the full size of the Be Curly Advanced Perfecting Primer and Curl Enhancer Cream and received samples of the Be Curly Advanced Shampoo and Conditioner with my order. I received this product complimentary from Aveda in exchange for my honest review. This shampoo is specifically designed for curly hair types. It has a milky creamy texture that has a gentle and mild lather. The formula is very moisturizing and gentle on the hair and scalp. My hair tends more wavy than true curly and I did find that my scalp was a bit more on the oily side after using this shampoo. My partner has much curlier hair and his did seem to do better with the extra hydration compared to my more oily roots. The shampoo smells great and is overall a good pick for curly hair that wants to stay hydrated and soft.
