I am really disappointed that Aveda discontinued their Camomile shampoo and conditioner. I used that shampoo for over 20 years and it served my naturally blonde hair so well. Based on advice from Aveda I purchased this Blue Malva product and it is TERRIBLE. My hair is limp and flat, and the shampoo itself leaves purple streaks on anything it touches. I've tried several other shampoo products and am disappointed with every one of them, including Nutriplenish and Brilliant. Having spent almost 200 bucks trying to find an Aveda replacement for Camomile with no success, I am very disappointed to say the least. As a longtime loyal customer, I am now testing other brands to find a shampoo that works for me. Please bring back the Camomile shampoo and conditioner.

I assume this is a replacement for the discontinued Camomile shampoo. If it is, this is a very poor substitute. I'm a natural strawberry blonde and Camomile used to give me a subtle golden tint. Blue Malva made my hair look dull and grey and I don't even have any grey hairs. At first I even thought maybe it's the age finally kicking in but them my teenage daughter who is also blonde and uses the same shampoo said that her hair looked dull and grey and quite flat. I can understand the need to eliminate the so called copper tint or whatever it is from the coloured hair but for natural blonds a bit of gold in the hair is quite complimentary. What a shame there isn't a product for us anymore.

Why, oh why hasn’t there been a sample of this in a Christmas Nativity Box, or available via the assistants in the Beauty Department? If there had been I would have been using it ages ago. I very nearly passed it over as the price was the most I’ve ever paid for shampoo but I decided to give it a go and I’m 150% glad that I did. This huge bottle will last for ages as you only need the smallest amount and what a difference it makes. Prior to Lockdown, my hair was highlighted but now it’s my natural grey and this shampoo brings a wonderful colour and bounce to otherwise slightly dull, dry hair.

I ran out of my last bottle of Clove shampoo recently, not realizing that they stopped making it. I tried a couple other products that were too heavy, and I came back in hopes that someone might have a left-over bottle of clove. Not so. So, I am trying the Blue Malva. It's not bad, but it's not Clove. My hair doesn't feel bad or heavy like with the other products. The Clove conditioner did a great job of moisturizing my hair, and I used it in combination with damage remedy. Please bring this line back - Clove/Camomile - all of it!!.
I have been using this shampoo for more years than I care to tell, first on my blonde highlighted hair and now on my natural gray hair. It is absolutely the best product for that purpose and smells divine! I constantly get compliments on my hair color, which is my natural gray, and I know it's because of Blue Malva Shampoo. I really notice the difference if I use another shampoo even those meant for gray hair. Please don't ever stop making Blue Malva! I see a lot of negative comments from people who loved the Clove and Chamomile shampoo but that was formulated for brunettes and honey blonde hair. If you want to minimize brassiness in your gray or blonde hair, Blue Malva is the best product around!
I tried this product at a friends' house when I was 14. I am 27 now, and it's still the only shampoo I will use. It truly cleans, smells incredible, has ingredients you can trust, and it just simply works - after one wash you will see a difference in clarity. I have tried other purple shampoos and they just do not compare at all. I have very perfectly toned natural blonde hair, and this shampoo is to thank for that. It's my one and only! Aveda, please do not ever discontinue this shampoo. I will use this for life.
Tried this after finding out camomile and clove were discontinued. BTW, putting a heads up on that in your constant marketing emails would have been nice. This is not a suitable sub for camomile or clove... nor are the other "comparable" new products Aveda has replaced them with. Reading the company responses to other reviews, it's just "sorry, find something new"! Well... we don't want something new. We have used these products for 20+ years. Nothing even comes close to replacing them. The products even said "best seller" on the website... just don't get it! but your new "comparable" products are not comparable for me. Please bring back camomile and clove shampoo. Your new color deposit conditioner won't cut it. Us fine haired girls don't like to condition every ... MoreTried this after finding out camomile and clove were discontinued. I was my hair every day. I am genetically predisposed to white hair and have been since I was 17 years old. I am now almost 60. I stopped coloring my hair a few years ago because it was a battle I just chose to stop fighting. I had read about Blue Malva and gave it a try. It is PERFECT for my white hair. I bought the conditioner as well but rarely use it as the shampoo does not leave my hair dry. It is expensive, but I continue to buy/use it because it is the only purple shampoo I can find that brightens my hair and does not leave it looking yellow.
None of the other Aveda shampoos work as nicely as the Camomile and Clove did for me. They were clean and light and the best smelling shampoos for me. I cannot tolerate earthy smells of other Aveda products for colored hair that also leave a film feeling on my hair after washing and do not suds up as nicely and I end of using too much of it so does not last as long as the Camomile and Clove did. I love the smell of the Blue Malva but my stylist indicated it would not be good for my warm blonde hair color. I'M SO FRUSTRATED!!! your new products do not cut it. Why would you remove a product that is so liked and used by many customers. Will probably be looking outside of Aveda products to find something I can use. So frustrated.
Adore this duo. Such great value. Shampoo lasts forever. Gorgeous for my highlighted hair and leaves it really fresh and clean. Don t think the purple really does much for brassiness so probably best to use a different brand if want a harsh effect. The conditioner if left on does actually affect the colour more . Aroma of both is lovely...almondy shampoo and the conditioner reminds me of a lavender smell although don't think there's any in it but it's gorgeous. Defo recommend at this great price
