If you are looking for a shampoo with natural ingredients and is cruelty free this is it. I have never used Aveda prior to trying the shampure nuturing line and I was exciting to use it. This conditioner made my hair soft and did not weigh it down. With that being said, I learned the hard way that a little of this goes a long way. The first time I used it, I used the same amount I normally would with regular a conditioner and it was way too much. Once I got the amount correct is was great for my hair. I have fine hair and it is hard to find a weightless conditioner that also nourishes. The only thing I did not like is the smell. It is not really bad or overpowering, it is just not for me. If it came in a different scent, I would buy this if another scent was available.

I am nearly fully in love with the Shampure line from Aveda. I know Aveda is known for amazing products, but I had never tried them. I wasn't sure what to expect when I tied this for the first time. My thoughts on this line is that though the smell didn't wow me personally, I did fall in love with the way this made my hair feel. This conditioner was much thicker than expected, and didn't take much to get the job done. It is ver moisturizing. It left my hair feeling light, but not so light that my funky areas were sticking up after drying. It also doesn't feel like my hair has an unnatural coating on it either. My 2 negative points to this product are the smell (though this is a matter of preference), and the Aveda price tag. Other than that, it is an amazing product ... MoreI am nearly fully in love with the Shampure line from Aveda. I know Aveda is known for amazing products, but I had never tried them. I have been a huge fan of Aveda Products. They are innovative. So I was looking forward to trying the Aveda Shampure Conditioner. The first thing I noted was the scent. I was really impressed by the scent. I loved, loved, loved the scent, but the Shampure conditioner left a residue. I have fine hair, and I was surprised that the conditioner left my hair greasy which isn't anything I experienced with other Aveda conditioners in the past. I really had high hopes for the Shampure conditioner, but I don't think I can buy this product in the future. Full disclosure, I received a 1.7 oz samples free for my honest and unbiased review. I was not aware of the Aveda Shampure Conditioner, prior to participating in this program. I wouldn't recommend this product to people with ... MoreI have been a huge fan of Aveda Products. This was my first time trying any Aveda product, so I didn't know what to expect! There was no scent listed on the bottle, so I'm not sure what the fragrance of it actually is! Upon putting the conditioner in my hair, I was struck by an extremely strong scent- it's hard to explain, but it smelled like herbal, medicinal and for lack of better words, that "old people" smell. It wasn't just strong, it was sickeningly nauseating strong. Thankfully, the conditioner smell wasn't as even as strong smelling as the shampoo! I had to immediately wash it out as I couldn't stand the smell anymore. This fragrance was so strong and nasty smelling, I had to use a different shampoo and conditioner afterwards, and my hair still smelled like it!! It glided on very smoothly over my hair, and was definitely lightweight (the only reasons it's getting two stars!!)- but I can't in good conscience recommend this to my worst enemy. I would absolutely not buy Shampure Conditioner!
I have never tried or heard of the Shampure conditioner prior to this program, however the product did feel like a high end salon quality conditioner. I personally choose to spend a little more for a good quality conditioner because my hair is finicky and I take care to make sure i protect it. This conditioner is not thick, it is a medium thickness in the sense that I did feel I needed more product than normal to thoroughly condition all of my hair. I do have relatively thick hair though. In comparison to my current conditioner the Shampure did not leave my hair feeling silky or smooth to the touch, but I also did not feel any build up or conditioner left behind after rinsing.I have to admit I would not purchase the Shampure Conditioner in the future for only one ... MoreI have never tried or heard of the Shampure conditioner prior to this program, however the product did feel like a high end salon quality conditioner. It smells like a salon, it reminds me of a hair dressers shampoo, the scent is clean but it almost strikes my memory to think of a chemical like hair dye, I want to be clear the scent does not in any way impact the effectiveness of this product and some people may love the smell. I usually lean towards citrus conditioners so for me this wasnt my favorite scent but I also do not find it to be bad if someone else used it I would not notice the scent it is just on me that I dont prefer it. Aside from that the conditioner is really good it made my hair feel clean and strong and less flyaways as it air dried.I would recommend this conditioner to friends of mine with fine hair who want a light weight conditioner that cleans and treats without adding anything extra to weigh down their hair.
I used this product along with the shampure shampoo. I have thin, curly hair. I loved how my hair looked on Day 1, but Day 2 it was a bit dry looking. I don't hate the smell, but I am not in love with it either. The smell wasn't strong and I didn't notice it throughout the day, so I can let that pass as I am sensitive to smells. The conditioner coated the hair nicely, but I felt I had to use quite a bit for my hair being so thin. I wish the shampoo and conditioner bottles were a little bit better distinguishable. Due to the name "shampure" being listed on both products, I had to pay closer attention to whether I was reaching for the correct product. I have used AVEDA products before and liked them, but this conditioner I did not care for. The smell is offputting. The shampoo was just fine (aside from the fragrance) but the conditioner did not really condition my hair at all. I have thin hair, so even the cheapest conditioner works well. The AVEDA Shampure Conditioner left my hair a tangled mess when I got out of the shower. I do have to say though, after fighting with tangles, now that my hair is dry, it feels very soft and silky!! I think this has potential to be great product. I think the conditioning aspect needs a little work, and the fragrance as well. I would buy this product again if those issues were fixed.....the outcome of my hair was great, but the getting there and the lingering medicinal ... MoreI have used AVEDA products before and liked them, but this conditioner I did not care for. I've been using Aveda products for over 20 years, so I have no complaints on the products. The packing and shipping, however, is unsatisfactory. You'd think Aveda would be pros at this, since the majority of their products are liquid.I ordered the giant Shampure shampoo and conditioner, composition oil, style-prep, and body lotion and none of the bottles had any type of spill-proofing on them! Not even a seal! They were all just thrown in a box and shipped. When they arrived at my house, the oil was spilled inside the box, the shampoo leaked out, and one of the complimentary pumps was broken. Very disappointed, considering these products are not inexpensive. I expect more from Aveda.
I am so saddened and disappointed, in Aveda. The "improved" sham pure hair care is a joke. They took a product of perfect consistency, rinceability and aroma and completely ruined it.Altho they say they "did not change the actual aroma ingredients", there is no denying the aroma of the product has changed. And it smells terrible! My hair after use smells like a combination of old sour milk and creosote. Not the beautiful shampur smell I have loved for decades. They may have "increased the levels of the aroma ingredients" in order to try to mask the new ingredients, but they did not increase nearly enough. They say the "made some improvements to the base formula" updating the surfactant and swapping in Abyssinian oil. And my overall life happiness! I know dramatic right? But I used to love taking my hair down at night and having the shampur smell wash over me, now its super nasty like I had been camping without a shower.I assume I just need to get over it and move on. But it sure stings that so many happy years are just tossed away. I was a religious Aveda Shampure user for 30 years.
Has a wonderful smell and leaves a beautiful scent that us long lasting. Great value when bought in the 1000ml bottle. Great everyday conditioner. Works even better with the accompanying Shampure shampoo.
