Wouldn't recommend this product, yes it does give you sleek hair however after 2 weeks use both my daughter and I had severe dandruff (never suffered before). My scalp basically had layer after layer peeling away, embarrassing and became very self conscious. Stopped using and my scalp recovered. We only use Aveda products on our hair so can 100% attribute the dandruff to this smooth infusion perfect blow dry product. Bought in icon set. Wondering if any connection to Aveda launching anti dandruff range.

Used 3 times now. Have had to wash out after a few hours on each occasion. Left my hair feeling dry and dirty and more frizzy than before I used it. Difficult to even brush after using this product. Certainly not sleek and smooth. Have used varying amounts but it's not easy to spray because the nozzle doesn't really spray a mist. Very disappointed especially considering the price. Will try once more (but only if I'm staying home - just in case I don't have time to wash it out) but I feel it's destined for the bin. Have used many Aveda products in the past and they're all exceptional. This clearly just isn't for me.

I generally like Aveda products because they don't tend to build up and weigh my hair down even if I layer more than one product.Until this. With my fine hair, I figured I should be adding a heat protector, especially since I was planning n using a headed curling iron instead of the usual Velcro rollers on a month-long trip I was planning.I am disappointed to say this weighs my hair down and is kind of gooey. Having been away for a month, I'm past the 60-day return window and guess I am stuck with this.

I received a free travel-sized bottle of this as a part of some promotion or other, but I didn't actually try it until my stylist used it at a recent visit. Dispensing it into my hands and working it in the same way I do products that don't come out of spray bottles (maybe 1.5 sprays for the back, 1.5 for each side, and 1 for the crown) it worked just fine on my thick, long-ish, more-or-less straight hair. I still have to use a round brush and go in sections or I come out looking vaguely fried, but it goes faster than it does with other products. The finish is lightweight and shiny and soft (though maybe not quite as soft as the Style-Prep Smoother) and as an evening shower-er, I can sleep on it overnight and wake up looking like I did when I went to sleep. I was very disappointed about this product and have to give this an overall rating of One-Star. I used it for about six months before writing this review, hoping that its performance would change my mind after a few tries; unfortunately it didn't. My hair feels greasy and heavy after using this product. I used it exactly as directed: on clean, damp hair. After blowdrying, my hair feels heavy and greasy to touch. Also, the solution is not distributed evenly in the hair - it comes out in a stream instead of a mist. (The sprayer gets clogged easily.)

My Husband and I have been using the Smooth Infusion Products for over 15 years. Just repurchased supply with the new formula and unfortunately it makes me hair extremely greasy and waxy. I thought it may just be the new formula within the styling product that I would need to switch out of my routine. But the Shampoo is 100 times worse that I have had to jump back in the shower after blow drying my hair to re-wash and restart the process of getting ready multiple times. Super bummed I need to look for new hair care products after finding a product line I loved. I truly hope this is just my experience and it works well for others.
Awful product - I cannot believe all these good reviews. Makes clean hair look and feel so greasy. I love having to use dry shampoo 2 hours after my shower because a product ruined my clean hair. I am convinced all these good reviews are Aveda employees - there is no way people willingly like and buy this product. The nozzle is a joke - it doesn't mist, it shoots out lines of product, causing uneven distribution throughout the hair. Thankfully I received this for free, because I would be upset if I paid for it. If you love looking like a greasy poodle and like you haven't showered in weeks, this is the product for you, because it does NOTHING for frizz either.

I used invati shampoo and conditioner, and per the directions, used no other products but smooth infusion on my towel dried hair. I used a paddle and round brush....expecting the best flow out of my life. What I got was heavy, thick hair that felt coarse and dry. I had more frizz than I normally do, and was pretty surprised that this product did not work for me and did the opposite of what I expected. Kinda bummed I bought the full-size of this.I have used the smooth infusion glossing straightener and that has been a great product.
