I went overseas late last year and only had this product on me to use before blowdrying. I thought it would be fine without it in winter, but it definitely made my hair less frizzy, and more smooth, during the day. Not too sure about the 12-hour claim, but it made a difference for blowdrying. I like using this with the Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair.
Just a very small amount on damp hair makes it easy to blow dry or even to run my fingers through and leave. No fuss. Done.
Leaves my hair soft and smooth and smells lovely. It goes a long way so I normally purchase the travel size to take away with me. Feels like a luxury product along with other Aveda items that I use.

I have very curly and frizzy hair. I’ve tried a wide variety of products and have found that this product works well in keeping the frizz at bay. I’ve used it in straightened hair and curly hair. I like that it can be used for both. I bought the smaller bottle to try it and will be purchasing the bigger bottle soon.
What's happened to the Style Prep Smoother? It used to be brilliant - the only product I'd found that could stop my hair being frizzy and I've been using it for years. Now it doesn't seem to smooth my hair much at all. So disappointing. I've noticed it says "new advanced formula" but I don't think it's an improvement.
Especially on dry hair, just does not do the lightweight smoothing the old formula did. So sad it’s gone :( going to try to find a replacement from another brand
