This brush is truly made to last. Pictured is the first I ever received - a seemingly random secret Santa gift from my aunt when I was 12. I use this brush daily, on both wet and dry hair. It feels amazing on my scalp and gets through tangles with ease. Itās the hardest working tool in my house! I actually purchased a second identical brush when I was in college after my roommate (and best friend) kept stealing mine to blow out her hair with. Now the āback upā brush lives in my car.If youāre hesitating, donāt. This is the best $30 you may ever spend. It will certainly last the longest.

All the females in my family have one of these! After buying one for myself and loving both the quality and the ease of brushing my knotty prone hair, I gifted a few and the recipients were thrilled! I look out for them when they are on promo - buy 2x 1 litre shampoo/conditioner and get the brush free (usually 1-2 times a year in Australia). I have medium curly hair and this brush is the best. My teen has long hair and hated hair brushing until she tried this, now it's easy peasy and painless! I'm only on my second brush in 14 years, never had an issue with the bristles coming out, the first replacement was purely down to user error (kid dropped it in a sink full of water and didn't tell me so I could leave it to dry out! - it's wood!)

Have been using the tangle teezers for years now and have been growing tired of them. Wanted a change. One with more umph. That can really get into the skull not just caress the hair it but really get to those knots. This is a truly amazing brush. More expensive but worth it. Itās hard, itās sturdy, itās great quality. Makes the other ones Iāve been using cheap and plasticky.

Detangled my 4c hair in the shower really well. The handle gets a little slippery but not enough to drop it. I was using the tangle teaser before but it was causing too much breakage. This is a good replacement. You can see what hair you shed in the brush and for me it wasnāt a lot. Iām also able to detangle my entire head in 4 sections because the brush is large and the bristles have depth. It also has a stylish look in the shower. I give it a 4.5 overall.
I have been a loyal Aveda customer for over 20 years and have always loved their products. I would not, however, buy this brush. I have had it a few years and it is falling apart. I do not use it with heat (I use my round brush) and really can't understand why it is falling apart. It is like the cushion is dry rotted. I contacted customer service and because it is over a year old (after chatting for over 45 minutes) they would not replace the brush. I have had brushes that are half the price last forever! I am disappointed with the quality of this brush as well as the lack of loyalty from their customer service department to me.

Like cheap furniture made of particle board with a coating. This is literally out of the packaging. Yes, there is now one bristle missing ad a design change but many others have said multiple bristles fell out and they simply reply the same scripted message. Yes, the bristles are sharper. My other bristles didn't change their feel after close to 2 decades and never scratched and I only brush my hair when it's dry. Haven't had it long enough to see if it will fall apart with normal use but this is not the same quality as it used to be. Sorry to report that this brush is nothing special, in spite of the price. It is just tat made in China, and it doesn't do anything better than my cheap, plastic comb does. To make matters worse, the brush is really big and therefore cumbersome to use. Last but not least, it is very difficult to clean, and so if I want to continue to use it, I will have to waste time looking for, and spend even more money buying some sort of tool to keep this brush clean. I definitely do not recommend this brush!
Superior brush! This brush glides through your hair with limited effort. The first time I used it, I was shocked, like this brush does the job itself! It doesn't really make sense until your first use. Trust me, you'll see. The bristles massage the scalp and push the sebum as a brush is supposed to. The handle is lightweight and helps the brush glide. Never thought I'd leave a brush review, but this one is worth it! I'll be buying the travel size as well.
