It is not inexpensive, but still cheaper than the eczema cream.For a lotion I must say it is rather thick. Better for me, not so good for some people.Compared to the eczema cream, it is more liquidly and more absorbent (although the cream is very well absorbed too). On a minor itch and slight redness it didn't irritate the skin more upon application, could be easily layered twice, like the eczema cream, the redness from before application has been reduced about an hour after, so it looks good so far. Like the eczema cream, this one doesn't peel, doesn't shine or leave the skin oily, and hopefully for me is also not comedogenic.This lotion does have some alcoholic scent on application (while the eczema cream smells more of colloidal oats), but in the few minutes the lotion sinks into the skin, the scent disappears completely, and you smell nothing.Even if I won't switch completely, it can be better for a humid summer in days for prevention and when there are mild to no irritations.

The lotion smells rotten or expired. It smells like a product gone bad. I decided to return it for another but I came back to order a new one online and saw that others are experiencing the same thing. So I won't be purchasing another bottle of this kind. I'm going to try a different Aveeno lotion and see if I have a better outcome. I don't want to have to give up Aveeno lotion altogether. It works well for my family with sensitive skin and eczema.
