Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Face Cream For Dry Skin, Prebiotic Oat, 5 oz

My face is combination skin-- dry skin to normal. Recently, it has been leaning drier than anything. I purchased the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Face Cream last month, and I have finished it and will continue repurchasing! It was fantastic! It truly moisturizes my skin, leaving it feeling very hydrated and healthy looking without leaving it sticky or heavy. The texture is lightweight and thick. I love that it was fragrance-free and contained a high amount of oat. It also helped with any irritation that I had on my skin. It is worth the money! Great stuff!

Beautiful face cream!

I really like this for daytime use on my normal to dry skin! Layered beautifully underneath a moisturizing sunscreen and does it job. Very simple ingredient list as well that makes it less likely to irritate my eczema prone skin. No extra bells and whistles to it and a great value for the amount of product you get! This is underrated and deserves to be talked about more! Only complaint, for me, is I need something a slight bit heavier at night. But it’s still gorgeous!

Finally!

I've been on the lookout for a simple straightforward moisturizer without any bells and whistles. My skin is finally where I want it to be: skin tone has evened out, dark spots are faded, fine lines diminished, pores clear and small. I have been looking for a moisturizer without any extras; no sunscreen, no fragrance, no hyaluronic acid, no Retinol -- just something to maintain the current condition off my skin. I was so excited when I saw this on the shelf. I bought it immediately and I put it on as soon as I got in my car. It absorbed quickly and evenly; it felt very light and there was no shine. A short time later, my skin looked hydrated and healthy. I'll definitely buy this product again.

Good for dry, acne-prone skin

During my Target runs, I usually get the Neutrogena SPF moisturizer, but I haven't been able to find it in stock for months. After combing through reviews, I decided to try this. I have extremely acne prone skin, and I am on a retinoid topical treatment for acne that dries my skin out really bad. This moisturizer is more lightweight than my usual, but still does the job and doesn't break me out. I like it!

Not Good Under Make-Up

I have combo skin with an oily t-zone, and while I really wanted to like this, I don’t plan to repurchase once my bottle is out. When I wear it under make up it causes it to pill like crazy, creating patches. My skin also feels pretty dry shortly after it dries, almost like it creates a film over my skin without really penetrating. The texture feels like it would be a great non-oily moisturizer but unfortunately just doesn’t perform like one.

Not for sensitive skin

Causes burning for those with sensitive skin and will leave skin more dried out. Regular Aveeno works better for those with sensitive skin. This Face Cream is likely fine for those with normal skin, naturally oily skin, and/or where the climate has high levels of humidity. It also smells like yogurt/dairy as mentioned by others, though that goes away fairly quick after applying. Based on the ingredients it looks like the additional acids and alcohol in the Face Cream may be the cause.

Not too Heavy

I love all things AVEENO. This face cream does not disappoint. I also use the moisturizing face gel, but sometimes my skin simply wants a little more. That’s why this moisturizer is perfect. It’s calming, soothing and doesn’t have any off putting smell. It’s also packaged in a tube instead of an unsanitary jar, so all of the antioxidants remain active and actually assist with the rejuvenation of your skin.

Quality control issues?; strange smell

I've been using this moisturizer ~6 months. First tube I purchased was fine; a little oily maybe, but not irritating (which many moisturizers are for me). The smell was mildly soapy and inoffensive. Second tube, I immediately noticed a strange, almost cheesy, sour smell. I used it for a while thinking maybe I was misremembering the smell of tube #1. Finally had enough of the cheesy smell and bought a third tube, confirming that #3 had a mild soapy smell and that #2 was "off" somehow. Finished tube #3 a few weeks ago, ordered two new tubes (from Target, not direct from Aveeno); both arrived smelling cheesy/sour. So that's 3/5 tubes in the last 6 months that have had this off-putting smell, which makes me seriously worried about either quality control or ingredients ... MoreI've been using this moisturizer ~6 months. Very good for sensitive skin

I love this stuff! I have sensitive skin. Almost everything makes me face itch. I have seborrheic dermatitis and very dry skin which is easily exacerbated but this is very soothing. It doesn’t bother my skin but it moisturizes very well. It’s not sticky. It absorbs quickly and feels very light yet highly moisturizing.
